PARSON JACK RUSSELL JUDGE MIDLAND COUNTIES 14

Parson Russell Terriers

I was pleased with my entry & its quality, with much to ponder in some very hot bitch classes. Over the years I have had entries in the 80s & 90s, plus 150 plus at Crufts & one wonders where the entries are going at the moment. However, this entry in the mid-50s was surely a positive for the future when looking at its content & depth.

My thanks to all the exhibitors for this entry & wasn’t it good to see the breed shortlisted in the group.

MPD (0).

PD (1)

1 Wilson’s Pacolito Evolution, strong lad, plenty of bone, good bite & pleased in neck & body with well muscled hindquarters, good set on & neat feet. Somewhat erratic on the move, but if he does not grow much more & settles into himself he could have a promising future.

JD (5,1a)

1 Newport & Baker’s Sweetjumper’s Gentle Twister, pleased in head, with good proportions, strong jaw, just enough neck & well laid shoulders. He is well made & presents a balanced picture with his strength of back, good topline & well carried tail. Moved out well both ways;

2 Baker & Stanway’s Pacolito Patchez, nice for size, good head shape & dentition & neat well carried ears. Would prefer a bit more neck, but he is well ribbed up & drove well from strong hindquarters;

3 Smith’s Tubize Mr Sizzle.

PGD (4)

1 P Patchez;

2 McCluskey’s Chadbrook Rocket, biggish lad, strong in all departments, exuberant on the move with tail carriage well up. Plenty of bone, well ribbed up & once settled moved well going away;

3 Neild’s Logierait Lexi of Lochinvar.

LD (6,1)

1 Jones’ Neelan’s American Dream, right for size & shape, quality all through, workmanlike with a cracking head, good bite & excellent neck & shoulders. He is balanced on the stand & on the move with everything in place from nose tip to his well set & carried tail. Moved out so well both ways with & has a quality side gait. Pleased he was shortlisted in the group. CC & BOB;

2 Chapman’s Foxwarren Picasso, not quite the stature of 1, but is well made with a lovely dark eye, good dentition, clean neck, strong back & good set on. Not quite the topline of 1, but covered the ground well on the move;

3 Harris’ Gonetoground Trick Or Treat.

OD (4,1)

1 Price’s Ch Rymshott Samo at Andralok, quality, sharp, workmanlike & ready for the job. Big teeth with excellent bite & scored in head, neck & shoulders. Well ribbed up & strong in back, he has a good set on & holds a correct topline at all times. Cracking mover both ways. RCC;

2 Wilson’s Ch Pacolito Highly Prized at Dragonmoor, pushed for this class all the way, quality again, longer cast than 1, but balanced, with good bone & scored in head, neck & body with his topline & tailset complemented by good movement both ways;

3 Olssen-Back’s Sw Ch Double Barrel’s Prime Altono.

MPB (3,1)

1 Rimmer’s Kylini Mona Lisa, feminine, raw, but promising baby of just 6 months. Head proportions OK, correct dentition, good front & just enough bone. Tends to slacken her topline on the stand, but corrects this on the move & drives well from the rear. BP;

2 Young’s Chadbrook Pickle, took time to settle, but pleases in head with a good wedge, dark eye, plenty of bone & strength in body & moved quite well going away.

PB (2) A.

JB (11,1)

1 Hooley’s Hoolmark Belle Starr, came out on top in this strong competitive class. Head shape, bite & jaw were plus points & she has a lovely dark eye, well boned front, just enough neck, good shoulders & a well held topline. Cracking mover both ways;

2 Rimmer’s Kylini Magical Myst, close up, with plenty to like here. Well made, nice for size, good head proportions, clean neck & strong in back & well ribbed up with a topline & tailset to complete the picture. Just preferred the hind movement of 1;

3 Kelly & Storey’s Pacolito Phardante.

PGB (9,1)

1 Tinegate’s Milvinae All Aboard, difficult class to sort out, but this lady was well presented & shown in excellent jacket, head proportions were OK with a good wedge & she scored in eye, neck & topline. Took this class with sound movement & good side gait. Smart & sharp all round & should make progress;

2 Bigland’s Heythrop Tiffin, typically pleasing stock from this kennel & certainly up for doing a job. Neat head, dark eye & keen expression. Spanned well, well ribbed up & has good bone & neat feet. Really fidgety, but moved quite well once settled;

3 Rimmer’s Kylini Magical Myst.

LB (8)

1 Bowdens Araceta Beatrice from Pacolito, attractive, upstanding & balanced at all times, this lady has quality & class with her neat head, strong jaw & a clean neck running into well laid shoulders. Showed nice lines in profile with her strong back & hindquarters. Held a good topline & moved really well both ways. RCC;

2 Jones’ Neelan’s Practical Magic, nice for size & shape with good bone & scored in neck, shoulders & topline. Took a bit of shaking up to get her act together, but once settled, moved out well with drive;

3 Nixon’s Gonetoground Go For Gold.

OB (8,1)

1 Baker’s Ch Pacolito Phirstedition, class act, well made, nice for size & shape & balanced all through. She has a quality head, good bone, excellent front & a lovely topline. Looks just right on first glance & confirms it on the table & on the move. Covers the ground so well both ways. Met a good one for BOB & pushed him all the way. CC;

2 Hooley’s Hoolmark Boppin Robyn, quality again, so smart & sharp & selling herself so well on the table. Balanced from head to tail, with a lovely dark eye & wicked expression with neck, topline & tuck-up all plus points. Another good mover both ways, once settled & she so well exemplifies the workmanlike requirements of the breed.
