PARSON JACK RUSSELL NATIONAL TERRIER 13 Judge(s): MOIRA BARRASS (GALLONDEAN) Parson Russell Terriers It is always a pleasure to judge this breed but even more so at National Terrier. I felt the bitches were stronger than the dogs & feel we seem to be losing the clean cut wedged head in some cases otherwise the exhibits were well presented. MPD (1) 1 Birch’s Glencymreig Tireless, of good proportions, strong jaw, balanced head, dark eyes, neat earset, good scissor bite, nice slope of neck, good rib to loin, loose pelt. Needs training on the table. PD (2) 1 BP, Farrow’s Glencymreig Two In One, litter brother of MP but better trained, good balanced dog with masculine head, good earset, dark eyes, strong wedged shaped jaw with scissor bite, loose pelt, neat slope of neck falling into laid back shoulders, good rib to loin ratio, straight front, neat feet, muscular rear giving drive, good tailset, moved well around the ring. 2 Roberts & Todd’s Chataway Primate, another dog of promise, balanced head, dark eyes, good scissor bite, neat front, balanced rib to loin, muscular rear, neat tailset. Did not seem too happy. JD (2) 1 Rutter’s Boultmoor Badge Of Honor, masculine dog with strong jaw, dark eyes, scissor bite, neat earset, straight front, good rib to loin, loose pelt, spanned easy, muscular rear giving drive; 2 Hughes’ Ruffntuff Regal, another of similar type, masculine head, dark eyes, scissor bite, easy spanned, moved well around the ring. ND (1) 1 B Badge Of Honor. GD (0). PGD (2) 1 Blair & Hadley’s Cleeve Hill Kasper, masculine head, correct earset, dark almond shaped eyes, strong jaw with scissor bite, straight front, sloping neck falling into laid back shoulders, good rib to loin, muscular rear, in good coat; 2 Hall’s Firthgarth Magic Sandpiper, carried a lot of 1’s good points, well presented, masculine head, scissor bite, moved well. LD (5) 1 CC, Roberts & Murray’s Pacolito Prymeval Mindlen, masculine wedged shaped head, dark almond shaped eyes, correct earset, strong scissor bite, straight front, sloping neck falling into laid back shoulders, good rib to loin ratio, muscular rear giving drive, correct tailset, loose pelt, spanned easy, moved out around the ring in unison with his young handler in charge; 2 Hooley’s Hoolmark Sundance Kid, well presented masculine dog, wedge shaped head with dark eyes, good earset, scissor bite, good front, spanned easy, loose pelt, correct rib to loin, muscular giving drive, moved well around the ring; 3 Bowden’s Nado Shiz’s Tacoma X-Runner to Pacolito. OD (6) 1 RCC, Newport’s Digaden Playing The Field, this balanced dog pushed well for the CC, in good coat, masculine head, dark almond shaped eyes, scissor bite, good front, laid back shoulders, balanced rib to loin, loose pelt, easy spanned, good tailset, muscular rear, moved well; 2 Vaughan’s Ch Parruss Comanchie Chief, have judged this dog before but felt he did not give as freely as I have seen him go, still in good condition; 3 Hall’s Firthgarth Jack Frost. MPB (4) 1 Rawlinson’s Glencymreig Lunar Eclipse over Halshimoor, litter sister of MPD & PD, showed all the good points of siblings but feminine, lovely expression, balanced head with correct earset, dark eyes, scissor bite, good front, balanced rib to loin, muscular rear, moved well; 2 Tinegate’s Whats The Storey, another feminine bitch, balanced head, dark eyes, scissor bite, good earset, good rib to loin ratio, moved well around the ring; 3 Newport’s Digaden Secret Affair. PB (5) 1 Liddell’s Alncroft Sovereign at Lyonmill, feminine head with dark eyes, scissor bite, neat front, balanced rib to loin, loose pelt, muscular rear, good tail carriage, moved well around the ring; 2 Newport’s Digaden Secret Affair, another feminine bitch, balanced head, dark eyes, scissor bite, neat front, good rib to loin, loose pelt, moved well around the ring; 3 Sutton’s Alncroft Maid An Issue at Springbeck. JB (5) 1 Hooley’s Hoolmark Boppin Robyn, a bitch who will make her mark in the ring, in good coat, feminine head with dark almond shaped eyes, correct earset, scissor bite, neat front, good rib to loin ratio, muscular rear, correct tailset, spanned easy, loose pelt, moved well around the ring 2 Highfield’s Bradpole Blow The Socks Off, another feminine bitch who showed well, feminine head, dark eyes, scissor bite, neat front, good rib to loin, muscular rear, loose pelt, easy spanned; 3 Blake’s Pacolito Phrankly. NB (3) 1 Meyer’s Coclestane Cinnamon, balanced feminine bitch, moved with drive around the ring, dark eyes, good earset, scissor bite, neat front, good rib to loin, muscular rear, spanned easy, loose pelt, muscular rear; 2 Sutton’s Alncroft Maid An Issue at Springbeck, another feminine bitch with correct earset, dark eyes, scissor bite, neat front, loose pelt, easy spanned, moved well around the ring; 3 Blair’s Gonetoground Go Getter. GB (3) 1 Liddell’s Lyonmill Daydream, in good condition, feminine bitch with dark eyes, good earset, scissor bite, neat front, sloping neck, good lay of shoulders, balanced rib to loin, muscular rear, correct tailset, easy spanned, loose pelt, moved well in unison with handler around the ring; 2 Minett’s Pacolito Seksy at Rountfelly, feminine bitch presented well, balanced head, neat earset, dark eyes, scissor bite, neat front, nice rib to loin, muscular rear, moved well; 3 Wall’s Prima Donna Roxy Cool. PGB (2) 1 Broadberry’s Portleberry Forget Me Not, in good condition, feminine head, dark eyes, scissor bite, neat front, moved well. LB (9) 1 Smith’s Bethane Liberton Lassie, judged this bitch as a puppy, liked how she has matured, presented well, feminine head with dark eyes, correct earset, scissor bite, neat front, good slope of neck, laid back shoulders, nice rib to loin, muscular rear with correct tailset, easy spanned, loose pelt, moved well around the ring; 2 Doyle’s Ilexquercus Rosy Rustic, another feminine bitch pushing for top place in class, balanced head, correct earset, dark eyes, scissor bite, neat front, good rib to loin, muscular rear giving drive around the ring; 3 Bull & Stark’s Clauval Japonia Lady. OB (9) 1 CC & BOB, Smith’s Ch Bethane Hulabaloo, another feminine bitch who has improved with age, very feminine head with dark eyes, correct earset, scissor bite, good slope of neck falling into laid back shoulders, neat front, balanced rib to loin, muscular rear with correct tailset, spanned easy, loose pelt, well presented, moved around the ring demanding her win; 2 RCC, Bull & Stark’s Tarara Boom De Ay, have judged this bitch before, surprised how she has retained all her good points, pushed hard for 1st place, feminine bitch, balanced head, dark eyes, scissor bite, neat front, balanced rib to loin, muscular rear, easy spanned, loose pelt, moved well around the ring; 3 Farrow’s Halshimoor Final Fling.
