Parson Russell Terriers

PD (6)

1 Vaughan’s Parruss Comanche Boy, good size, presented an ideal Parson outline being slightly longer than tall, strong masculine head being wedge shaped with muzzle of correct proportions, full dentition, kind eye, loose pelt, double coat with harsh topcoat, correct rib, rise over loin, nice angulation front & rear, moved out well, liked him very much. BP;

2 Wilson’s Pacolito Highly Prized at Dragonmoor, shared a lot of the qualities of 1, head not as strong as 1 & slightly longer in body. Full dentition, straight front, long ribcage, dense double coat with loose pelt, moved & showed well;

3 Taylor’s Jappatin Badger Boy at Foxthorn.

JD (2)

1 Roberts & Todd’s Chataway Primate, nice head with tan markings, strong muzzle with full dentition, good reach of neck, straight front, long rib, flat topline. Would’ve liked a little more rise over loin. Well angulated at rear & moved out soundly;

2 Hughes’ Ruffntuff Regal, larger dog than 1 but spannable, super wedge shaped head with large teeth & a kind eye, straight front, tidy feet, correct rib, thick loose pelt & double coat. Not quite as positive on the move as 1.

PGD (2)

1 Lockley’s Jacksden Jimmyjack joins Chatmoss, liked both these dogs, strong dog with masculine head. Would prefer slightly shorter muzzle. Nice reach of neck, straight front, long rib of correct depth, flat topline with rise over loin, correct angulation front & rear, moved with drive & purpose;

2 Samway’s Cassacre Tack, didn’t have the bone of 1, super head & muzzle, kind eye, nice reach of neck into well laid back shoulder, correct rib, spannable, loose pelt, double coat. Wouldn’t settle on the move, another day could change places.

LD (3)

1 Rimmer’s Kylini Celtic Tiger, good strong head, muzzle of the correct length, good ear placement, straight front, correct rib, flat topline with rise over loin, well muscled, correct angulation front & rear, moved out well. Unfortunately couldn’t assess coat as in his underwear;

2 Bowden’s Nado Shizs Tacoma X-Runner to Pacolito, taller than 1, strong wedge shaped head, but I preferred the overall head shape of 1. Full dentition with large teeth, loose pelt, double coat, long ribcage, flat topline with rise over loin. Lacked drive when moving.

OD (7)

1 Farrow’s Ch Glenholm Happy Go Lucky, a dog I have judged before & awarded a RCC to, here I was happy to go further & give him the DCC & BOB. Super wedge shaped head, strong muzzle with large teeth, correct length of neck widening into correct shoulders, straight front, correct rib & spannable, slight rise over loin, good turn of stifle & low set hocks providing plenty of drive, loose pelt, double coat with harsh topcoat, moved with drive & confidence. CC & BOB;

2 Hooley’s Hoolmark Sundance Kid, slightly smaller frame than 1, lovely wedge shaped head with strong muzzle of correct length, nice reach of neck widening into the shoulder, correct shape & depth of rib, easily spannable, flat topline, rise over loin, correct angulation front & rear, moved out well. RCC;

3 Roberts & Murray’s Pacolito Primeval Mindlen.

PB (4)

Excellent class of promising bitches, so pleasing to see so many good heads here & it looks as though the bitches are carrying this on.

1 Liddell’s Alncroft Sovereign at Lyonmill, 11 months so had some maturity over the other exhibits in this class, lovely feminine head, full dentition, good reach of neck, correct shoulder, spannable ribcage, flat topline, rise over loin, nice loose pelt, double coat, good angulation front & rear, moved out confidently. Just preferred the overall type of the dog in the puppy challenge;

2 Rawlinson’s Glencymreig Lunar Eclipse over Halshimoor, still looking very immature which showed in her movement but showing lots of promise, super old fashioned West Country head of correct proportions, kind eye, full dentition, thick double coat with a loose pelt, correct angulation, one to watch;

3 Newport’s Digaden Secret Affair.

JB (2)

1 D Secret Affair, nice head, full dentition, good reach of neck, straight front, good rib, spannable, thick double coat with a loose pelt, moved well but lost her topline when standing;

2 Taylor’s Jappatin Pinacolada at Foxthorn, similar type to 1, nice head, full dentition, ideal reach of neck, straight front but a little wider than 1. Correct rib, flat topline, rise over loin, good coat & pelt. Not as positive on the move.

PGB (2)

1 Liddell’s Lyonmill Daydream, flat wedge shaped head with strong muzzle, full dentition, nice ear placement, flat topline with slight rise over loin, correctly angulated front & rear, covered ground with ease;

2 Blair’s Gonetoground Go Getter, correct skull & muzzle, kind expression, good reach of neck, straight front, nice shape to the ribs. Slightly shorter coupled than 1 & lost topline on the move.

LB (5)

1 White’s Ebblechase Rosanna, smooth coated Parson, full of the qualities I ask for in the breed, wedge shaped head of West Country type, strong muzzle, kind expression, correct reach of neck to protect the front legs, widening into well laid back shoulder, slightly longer than tall, rise over loin, correct angulation front & rear. One of the best movers here, if not the best. Lacked the spark I was looking for in the challenge;

2 Liddell’s Jane’s Lass at Lyonmill, feminine head with a kind eye, strong muzzle, full dentition, correct rib shape & depth, flat topline, rise over loin, correct angulation front & rear, excellent double coat & loose pelt. Lacked the drive in movement of 1;

3 Newport’s Pacolito Xpectations.

OB (5)

1 Smith’s Ch Bethane Hulabaloo, super wedge shaped head, shallow stop, strong muzzle slightly shorter than the length of the skull, full dentition, good length of neck, straight front, tidy compact feet, ribcage of good length & depth, not dropping below the elbow, easily spannable, dense double coat with harsh topcoat, pelt loose, correct angulation front & rear, flowed around the ring with ease, pushed hard in the challenge. CC;

2 Roberts & Murray’s Ch Mindlen Matuka, feminine but strong girl, excellent head with full dentition, nice almond shaped eyes with kind expression, correct ear placement, neck widening into well laid back shoulders, correct rib, spannable, balanced throughout, double coat, loose pelt, moved out well. RCC;

3 Baker & Swift’s Araceta Beatrice from Pacolito.
