PARSON RUSSELL SKC MAY 16 Judge: Mr D W Shields (Wilholme) BEST OF BREED : 5292 WILSON Mrs A D Ch Pacolito Highly Prized At Dragonmoor PARSON RUSSELL JUDGE SKC MAY 16 Parson Russell Terriers PD (5,3a) 1 Roberts & Murray’s Mindlen Mcallan, promising young man of good size & presents a well balanced outlook. Best of heads with a good eye & keen expression. Pleasing front assembly with a good reach of neck & well laid back shoulders. Nicely angulated hindquarters. Once he got his act together on the move strode out well. BP; 2 Young’s Chadbrook Roux, smaller framed youngster who as yet didn’t have the scope of the winner. Very typical in head with a pleasing expression. Stands on good legs & feet, firm body for his age & well rounded hindquarters. Moved well but not as positive as 1 on the day. JD (1) 1 Rimmer’s Maanmainion Doubleshot over Kylini, alone but a very worthy winner. Pleasing make & shape throughout & presents a very workmanlike appearance. Balanced head with a good eye shape & best of expressions. Very clean over the neck & shoulders, firm topline & well muscled quarters. Moved soundly. PGD (1) 1 McCluskey’s Chadbrook Rocket, well made throughout & presents a very typical outlook. Good head shape with pleasing strength of jaw. Straight front standing on good legs & feet, good body shape & well muscled throughout. Very positive on the move. LD (5,2) 1 Baker’s Pacolito Special Edition, very well balanced dog of good size & shape & typifies the Standard with his active & agile appearance. Best of heads with a good eye & expression & well set ears. Strong muscular neck set in well placed shoulders, pleasing topline & tailset & a good bend of stifle. Moved well on a free & easy stride. RCC; 2 Newport’s Sweetjumpers Gentle Twister, hard muscular sort who looks like he can do a days’ work. Balanced head with a very typical appearance. Good dark eye with a keen expression, strong jaw & big teeth. Pleasing front, firm body & strong well made hindquarters. Sound but not as positive on the move as the winner on the day; 3 Young’s Fairville Target of Chadbrook. OD (5) Best class of the day. 1 Wilson’s Ch Pacolito Highly Prized at Dragonmoor, excellent type of good size & is so well made throughout. Both standing & on the move he demands your attention at all times. Good head shape with that correct almond shaped eye & the best of expressions. Lovely front assembly with a good reach of neck & well placed shoulders. Good body shape, firm quarters & well let down hocks. On the move he strode round the ring with excellent reach & drive. CC & BOB; 2 Newport’s Digaden Playing The Field, another very typical Parson from this kennel. Good size & another with a very workmanlike appearance. Pleasing head, eye & expression. Straight front, best of legs & feet, firm well muscled body & good width of hindquarters. Sound on the move but not quite the presence of the winner on the day; 3 Roberts & Todd’s Rustic Russell Thor. PB (4,1) 1 Newport’s Digaden Just So, very well made young lady who presented a pleasing & typical outlook. Good head shape with a keen & alert expression. Well made front assembly, firm topline that she held on the move, good tailset & well developed quarters for her age. Moved soundly both fore & aft; 2 Young’s Chadbrook Electra, pleasing size & well balanced throughout. Typical head, eye & expression. Good legs & feet, best of hindquarters with an adequate bend of stifle. Moved well, but not quite the positive action of the winner; 3 McCluskey’s Chadbrook Bracken. JB (1) 1 Newport’s Digaden Made To Measure, very typy bitch who fits the Standard well with that overall picture of balance & flexibility. Best of heads with well set ears & good strength of jaw. Strong muscular neck set in well placed shoulders, firm body & nicely angulated quarters. Sound on the move. Just a little between coats on the day. PGB (3,1) 1 Storey & Kelly’s Pacolita Rumour Has It at Brizanrae, pleasing conformation throughout & another who presented a very well balanced picture. Good head shape with well set ears. Very clean over the neck & shoulders, straight front, good topline & tailset & a pleasing bend of stifle. Moved well; 2 Laird’s Mindlen Freja, good type of pleasing size. Balanced head with a lovely dark eye & a keen expression. Strong muscular body, straight back, best of hindquarters & well let down hocks. Sound & positive mover. Would just prefer a little more reach of neck. LB (1) 1 Baker’s Pacolito American Edition, see she is the litter sister to the DCC winner & has many of the attributes of her sibling. Good size with a very feminine outlook but has the strength & balance to complete the picture. Best of heads with a lovely eye & expression. Very well made front assembly, firm topline & strong muscular quarters. Very sound on the move. Close up for top honours. OB (6,2) Class of four very good bitches. 1 Hooley’s Hoolmark Belle Star, one you need to get your hands on to appreciate her many virtues. Lovely head & eye of correct shape with the best of expressions, excellent strength of jaw & neat well set ears. Good neck & shoulders, firm well balanced body, best of hindquarters that she uses to advantage on the move. Presented on the day in the best of coats & in excellent condition. Lovely action covering the ground on a free & easy stride. CC; 2 Storey & Kelly’s Pacolito Phardante, another top class bitch who was on top of her game today & pushed the winner all the way. Good size with a very workmanlike appearance. Balanced head with a lovely dark eye & keen expression. Pleasing front, best of legs & feet, firm topline & a good tailset & carriage. Well rounded quarters with a good bend of stifle. Soundest of movers. RCC; 3 Liddell’s Alncroft Sovereign at Lyonmill. VB (1) 1 Newport’s Digaden Glamouruss, very good type with a very balanced outlook. Best of heads with that correct ‘almond’ eye shape asked for in the Standard. Strong muscular neck of good length & set in well placed shoulders. Good body shape, best of quarters & well let down hocks. Moved with a very positive action. DAVID SHIELDS
