My thanks to the Committee of The West of England Ladies’ Kennel Society for the appointment and their hospitality.and to my hard working Stewards who kept the ring running for me. It was a pleasure to judge outside in the beautiful setting of the Malvern Showground.

1ST 2166 - Digaden Top Hat and Tails (Mrs L Smith)
Rough coated, tri colour dog with thick, pliable pelt. Pleasing wedge shaped head with well set ears. Good front correct topline. Correct return of upper arm to shoulder Plenty of bone Moved out soundly with drive from well constructed rear. Nice tight feet.

A promising young t/w dog with nice half marked head and good dentition. Great double coat, loose pelt and pleasing topline. Easy to span. Movement still a little loose but has plenty of time to settle.

1ST 2172 - Wayward Rumble (Mrs S & Master B Woods & Boorman)
15 month old dog. Smart youngster with t/w broken coat. Good head, bite and dentition. Would prefer a little more return of upper arm . He held his topline on the move and shows rise of loin. Rear angulation is good and he moved soundly. Easy to span.

Rough coated, mostly white male with some tan markings Unfortunately not moving very happily on a very chilly morning, which spoiled his outline. Very easy to span. Moderate angulation, pleasing neck flowed into correct shoulder. Well set tail.

Smooth tri dog with lovely outline. Fits the standard so well. Very typey head, easy to span. Presented in hard, fit condition. A dog I have judged before and admired for type. Unfortunately he just wouldn’t give of his best in the challenge. RDCC
2ND 2163 - Mindlen Kuba (Mrs K & Mr D Kirkby)
Tricolour lightly broken coated male. Slightly larger than the first, but spannable. .Masculine wedge shaped head, with dark eye and good dentition Moved out soundly. Presented in hard fit condition with plenty of drive from well muscled rear

Very promising young t/w male. Tight broken coat, with excellent pelt. Presented and handled to perfection Neck flows into good shoulder. Pleasing topline.and moderate angulation front and rear. Very easy to span. Took BD in the challenge with his “attitude” and challenging expression. Still on fire in the final challenge to give him well deserved top honours.BOB
2ND 2173 - Wayward Timeless JW (Mrs S & Master B Woods & Boorman)
Another t/w broken coated dog. Pleasing head with dark eye. Very easy to span. Slightly shorter coupled. Would prefer more drive on the move.. Probably due to the chilly conditions that unfortunately affected most of the dog classes.

Tri colour lightly broken female. Nice head, good pelt. Well muscled and moved soundly. Pleasing topline, slightly deeper than 1st

A very pretty young female. With correct angulation and very easy to span. Well presented in good condition. Just a lad shorter in the couple.

A t/w female with good strong typey head. Confident attitude. Harsh broken coated jacket and elastic pelt. Nice reach of neck and good topine, and tail set. Moved out well for her sympathetic handler. RBCC

Feminine smooth tri colour bitch who was easy to span. Complimentary angulation front and rear which showed good drive as she moved out freely

Such a pretty tri coloured female. Lightly broken coat. Presented in fit hard condition Good for type Such a shame she just wouldn’t give of her best on the move today.
