Big thank you for the opportunity to judge 3 new breeds & the exhibitors for travelling & giving me the chance to go over quality dogs & with such nice entries. VD (1) A. PD (3,2a) 1 Baker’s Pacolito Protolythic, super little man so well balanced & put together. Good shape to head, nice flat skull, correct earset, nice dark alert eyes, & black nose, held well on clean long neck, strong shoulders into firm straight back, good forequarter, straight legs, elbows well in. Body with ribs nice & chest, spannable, nice tough skin & harsh white jacket. Muscular hindquarters, good bend of stifle. Good compact feet used well on the move. Nice tail carriage. BPD & BP. JD (4,2) 1 Bigland’s Ardencote Tutor with Heythorp, slightly taller than the second but with lovely overall balance. Masculine head, flat skull, nice almond eye, keen expression. Neat well carried ears just needing to settle. Good clean length of neck into strong shoulders, spannable behind, level back, nice length, moderately high set carried tail. Body with coat of harsh texture over nice ribs, could perhaps be further back, elbows in on straight well boned legs, compact feet. Muscular hindquarters, good return of stifle. Very sound mover, good action front & rear; 2 Young’s Chadbrook Roux, nice size & overall outline & balance to this 11 months rough coated pup. Nice pretty head, skull & foreface, dark keen eyes, would have preferred pigmentation on both eyes, well set neat ears. Long muscular neck, strong shoulders, spannable behind shoulders, level back, high carried tail. Body with ribs well carried, nice skin & rough textured white & tan coat. Correctly angulated front & rear, little loose & untidy at front & hocking behind. PGD (1) 1 Kirkby’s Rountfelley Beaspoke, nice size, good height to length, masculine look to nice head of correct shape, good eye shape & pigment, neat well set ears, clean long neck, nice shoulder, back slightly uneven, topline falls away to tail, carried OK. Correct angles front & rear, well bodied with ribs back & arched loin. Rough harsh textured white jacket with tan head & spot. Straight boned legs, feet little flattish. Moved out well. LD (4,2) 1 Woods’ Ardencote Taber, first saw this boy as a baby then last year & as should be has been improving & maturing each time. Today was in fabulous body condition, an easy span, a lovely outline & overall balance. Very attractively marked head with nice eye colour & pigment, correct neck, topline to tail, super rough textured coat over body with correct angles, chest depth, ribs & tuck to loin. Straight legs & compact feet, correct bend to stifle very free sound stride both ends, unlucky to meet Open winner. RCC; 2 McClusky’s Chadbrook Rocket, much bigger boy, very masculine, nice head shape & balanced, attractively marked, dark eyes, neat ears, could be set & used better. Strong long neck & topline tail carried well. Deep body & chest, not a span for me, too well ribbed & bodied, nice loin & tuck. Good dense rough white coat. Nice straight forelegs & compact feet, moved out well. OD (6,1) 1 Wilson’s Ch Pacolito Highly Prized at Dragonmoor, lovely to have the opportunity to go over a dog so well balanced with all the right bits in the right place. Loved his attractive head, well furnished foreface, lovely expressive eyes, neat ears well set. Great clean neck, nice length, good shoulder, firm level backline & moderately high set on tail. Spannable flexible body & thick skin, correctly ribbed, nice loin & arch, super dense rough coat well presented. Muscular hindquarters & stifle, low set hocks, compact feet. Very impressive on the move, sound & coordinated. CC & BOB; 2 Broadberry’s Foxthorn Huron at Ratscallion, nicely balanced & built this slightly smaller 2 year old. Loved his head development & correct balance, plus his nice tri markings making with a super expression from dark eyes, neat set on & carried ears. Clean long neck, correct front & rear angles, shoulder into firm back of correct length, nice tail set on well. Excellent shape to body well spanned, nice ribs & loin with slight arch. Harsh coat, dense & well presented. Very sound mover with nice ground coverage; 3 Blair & Hadley’s Cleeve Hill Kasper. VB (1) 1 Smith & Moon’s Ch Pacolito Phantastic at Alncroft, this is a stunning old girl to go over, now in her 11th year & not showing her age in her body or in her movement which was sound & free with good ground coverage. A real showgirl, very attentive to her handler. Feminine pretty head keeping tan markings well, eyes still dark & expressive, neat ears, nice leathers, good mouth. Clean neck to shoulders, firm well held back, nice tail carriage. Correct angles, still muscled at rear. Nice straight well boned legs & feet. Still spannable, well bodied, correct rib & loin arch, well presented in rough white & tan jacket. BV, I was delighted to hear she had won the Veteran Terrier Group, & was so pleased to be able to see her in the final day’s challenge, she didn’t win but did the breed proud & showed her socks off. PB (3,2) 1 Young’s Chadbrook Electra, very smart picture of overall balance with a very attractive tri head, stunning expression from dark correctly shaped eyes, small neat shaped ears well set. Excellent angles to the front, elbows in on straight balanced legs & firm round feet. Good neck to shoulder, backline to nice tail & carriage. Nice chest, ribs of correct shape & loin with slight arch, body covered in white well presented rough jacket with nice tan spot by tail. Good skin & spannable. Moved out well not as positive in the challenge. BPB. JB (3,2) 1 Bigland’s Ardencote Teach In with Heythrop, very feminine on the stance with a nice outline & overall correctly balanced. Sweet tan head correctly shaped, nice flat skull, moderate stop, good eye colour & ear carriage. Muscular clean long neck, shoulders, firm back, good length, moderate set on well held tail. Nicely angled front & muscular rear angles & stifle. Straight well boned legs & compact feet. Chest & body of correct depth, rib not overly sprung, was spannable with tough skin & a rough dense white coat. Very free sound mover, covers the ground well. PGB (1) 1 Denby-Gardner’s Matsstars Moonshine, nice shape & size to this feminine 2 years presented in a totally white rough dense coat. Well constructed attractive head, alert dark eyes spoilt by lack of pigment. Ears little high set but reach to eye corner. Strong clean neck, well laid shoulder, topline firm but uneven on the stance. Tail set & carried OK. Little straight in upper arm but good return of stifle, well boned straight legs & compact feet. Good body, ribs a bit loaded nice loin & arched. Moved well. LB (5) 1 Bull’s Rymshott Goggles Aurgwen, very pretty rough coat, well built & balanced outline, for me she had the correct required chest depth & ribs with correct spring into loin with nice arch. Sweet well built head, flat skull & narrowing correctly dark eyes with small ears, head well furnished. Good neck length, shoulder, spannable behind, straight forelegs, well boned, level backline, muscular hindquarters & return of stifle, let down hocks & compact feet. Moved out so well sound front & rear; 2 Broadberry’s Alncroft In Tune at Ratscallion, very close up this beautiful 2 years, I loved her tri marked head, so well constructed & furnished. Dark almond eyes, neat small well set ears. Good overall balance, nicely bodied & ribbed, preferred the correct & better chest depth of 1, but has enough chest with elbows in on straight legs & feet.
