SCOTTISH WELSH KENNEL CLUB 09 Judge: Miss E Bradley SCOTTISH JUDGE WELSH KC 09 Scottish Terriers MPD (1) A. PD (2) 1 Marshall’s Benartybrae Bugatti, 11 months brindle boy, nicely balanced, good head & expression, neat ears, muscular neck with good run in to excellent topline & correct tailset, in correct harsh tight jacket which would with more furnishings complete the picture, moved out well with confidence. BPD; 2 Marshall’s Benertybrae Rumba, 10 months black youngster, full of quality, bone & substance. A little longer cast than 1 & not the drive on the move but a sound puppy with much potential. JD (1) 1 Cole’s Rabbonai Playmaker, mature black youngster, correct in type, excellent bone & substance, big powerful hindquarters, smartly presented & in good condition. A little off balance on the move, would benefit from a less severe eyebrow trim. PGD (3,1a) 1 Rowland’s Berrybreeze Bo Diddley at Rabbonai, well balanced, substantial black boy of correct type, good length of head, excellent bite, good bone, big powerful hindquarters used well on the move, excellent presentation; 2 Rees’ Rabbonai Black Diamond at Miacarla, smart black of good type, excellent sound front, short backed, good tailset. Would prefer more strength in his hindquarters but moved out steadily. LD (3,1) 1 Earl’s Turnaware Buccaneer, mature brindle boy of excellent type, bone & substance, well up to size but so well balanced & sound throughout, good in length of head, expression, bite & earset, lovely run in to correct front, deep rib, good spring of rib & powerful coupling to powerful hindquarters, good tailset. Just a little sluggish on the move denying him the CC. RCC; 2 Tyzack’s Gaterin Flashback, black, good in outline, excellent topline, tail & ear carriage, showy & moving out well. Not the bone & substance of 1, disappointing coat & condition. OD (3) 1 Maidment’s Berrybreeze Jubilation, black of excellent make & shape, smaller in size than some here but greater in stature. Correct head & expression, good length of neck & run in to well placed shoulder, excellent bone & substance throughout, short backed, well sprung rib, short coupled to powerful hindquarters, good tailset, in tip-top coat & condition, his drive & ability to cover the ground with ease demanded the CC; 2 Kenny’s Ch Millingford Northern Rock, black of excellent type, good bone & substance, excelling in head & expression, lovely in outline, good topline held throughout. Not the drive of 1 but showed well; 3 Heuze’s Scotline Sonny Boy. MPB (2) A. PB (1) 1 Marshall’s Benartybrae Charleston, 9 months brindle puppy, on her own, lovely feminine youngster of quality. Would prefer a darker, smaller eye. Lovely head, neat ears, very correct in front, excellent run in & topline shown off by a super tight jacket. A little stubborn on the move but when deciding to she had an excellent free driving movement, very promising. BP. JB (4,2) 1 Rees’ Rabbonai Black Velvet at Miacarla, black, lovely type, short back, good quarters, good head & expression, tailset. Would prefer more width & substance, rather unsettled but has time on her side; 2 Thomas’ Trusty Tira to Indizak, longer backed & taller than 1, would prefer more width throughout. Enjoying her day out, moving out happily with excellent free driving movement. PGB (5,1) 1 Beckton’s Kentwella Karamel by Glengracie, very attractive feminine wheaten youngster in lovely coat & condition, excellent type, good head & expression, deep bodied, low slung, good bone, lovely topline, moving out freely with drive; 2 Long & Kit’s Ashkeltar Predict A Riot at Elfricia, lovely black, so sound & correct, excellent bone & quality, correct in front, short backed, excellent hindquarters. Would prefer more length of head but one I liked very much. Was however let down by her excessive weight; 3 Dobell’s Kelticbright Bluebelle. LB (8,1) 1 Plane’s Mayson Carnival at Stuane, brindle, correct in type, well balanced & sound in construction, in good coat & condition, real showgirl, moved out & covered the ground with ease; 2 Thomson’s Ashgate Royal Penny, black mature bitch who came close up to 1, well constructed & balanced, good bone & substance, lovely lines, good head & expression, showed well. Didn’t move out with quite the drive of 1; 3 Long & Kit’s Elfricia Black Number. OB (7,1) 1 Mahmoudi’s Brio Inquizitive, black of excellent quality & type, lovely correct balanced head & keen expression, super outline with long sloping shoulder, level topline & correct tailset, deep bodied with ribs well back, short coupled to powerful hindquarters, in super coat & condition, lovely to handle but came into her own on the move, excellent free driving movement. CC, BOB & G1; 2 Miller’s Ch Brio Exquizite, brindle sister to 1, equally lovely quality & type, outstanding head & expression, excellent correct front, lovely bone & substance, deep bodied, short coupled to sound & powerful hindquarters, correct tailset, lovely presentation with excellent double coat, moved out soundly with drive. Both sisters are lovely examples of the breed with 1 just out sparkling her sister. 3 Plane's Stuane Loch Flora at Mayrlea LIZ BRADLEY
