SCOTTISH WINDSOR 09 Judge: Miss C L Chapman SCOTTISH JUDGE WINDSOR 09 Scottish Terriers PD (6,1a ) 1 Hovagimyan’s Tamzin Mr Prospector, smart black puppy who commanded attention as he entered the ring, a real showman, clean balanced head of good length, dark well set eye giving keen expression, neat ears set on top of skull used to advantage, good layback of shoulder giving nice run in. Would prefer a little more forechest to be picky. Well boned straight forelegs, deep chest, nicely bodied, ribs carried well back, short coupled, strong, muscular, well angulated hindquarters, tail set on top, correct double coat, jacket of harsh texture, liked his free driving movement, well presented. BP & RCC; 2 Marshall’s Benartybrae Bugatti, brindle boy with crisp new jacket growing through, beautifully presented. Not as clean in skull as 1 but still a balanced head. Well bodied pup, good bone, pleasing layback of shoulder, level topline, short coupled. Would prefer a little more angulation in rear. Moved steadily; 3 Marshall’s Benartybrae Rumba. JD (4,1) 1 T Mr Prospector; 2 Rees’ Rabbonai Black Diamond at Miacarla, smart black, balanced head, dark well set eye, neat ears set on top. Would prefer the shoulder to have better lay back. Good body properties, deep chest, short coupled, well set tail, moved soundly; 3 Cole’s Rabbonai Playmaker. PGD (6,1) 1 Chick’s Brueik Magical Connection, black of good type, lovely profile. Head balanced but would prefer a cleaner skull. Neat well set ears, good layback of shoulder. Elbows could be tighter & would prefer more width in front. Deep ribs carried well back, level topline, excellent rear angulation, well muscled quarters, moved with drive, well presented; 2 Hill’s Bonnieanne Norman of Tahgmor, very nice to handle. Sadly carrying too much weight. Masculine head that I would have preferred a little cleaner in lines. Lovely layback of shoulder, good brisket, low slung, short coupled, well angulated quarters. Moved soundly but rather sluggish; 3 Greenwood’s Petmon Light Of My Life. LD (3) 1 Dixon’s Chatterdale Diablo, very spirited black of good type, clean balanced head, dark well placed eye, neat ears set on top of skull, keep expression, well angulated, good bone, deep chest, well sprung ribs, level topline, well muscled, big hindquarters, tailset on top, moved with drive; 2 Earl’s Turnaware Buccaneer, brindle, beautifully presented, good harsh jacket, very sound dog, excellent bone, nice head & expression, good run into level topline, well bodied, short coupled, good rear angulation. Harsh jacket but could have been better presented to complete the picture; 3 Bichel’s Lux/Dan/Dutch/Ger/VDH Ch Sir Darnley’s Qubic Q. V (1) 1 Marshall’s Benartybrae Bear’s Rory, beautiful 10 years brindle, looking excellent for his age, very well presented in perfect coat, nice head, neat ears, alert expression, soundly constructed throughout, demonstrated by his steady flowing movement. PB (4,1) 1 Marshall’s Benartybrae Charleston, brindle baby of good type, feminine head, balanced. Would prefer a darker eye. Very harsh tight fitting jacket & at this stage her furnishings are a bit sparse so she is hiding nothing. Good run into level topline, nice wide front, well boned straight forelegs, good body, deep ribs, big hindquarters, moved soundly, showing confidently; 2 Morris’ Scotchmore Dutch Diva, black, more mature than 1, excellent coat, nice head & expression. Preferred layback of 1. Is higher at the withers than 1; 3 Walker’s Beaureveur Fyglia. JB (2) 1 Long & Kit’s Elfricia Black Number, black carrying too much weight.
