SEALYHAM CRUFTS 2010 Sealyham Terrier Judge(s): MR H A HORN
Sealyham Terriers VD (1) 1 Bettis’ Ch Ornella Dizzi Deri, very masculine, gone very strong in head & heavy in body with his years but in good fettle, moved & showed well. PD (0). JD (1) 1 Daly’s Cibach Celtic Connection, career off to a good start, lovely head, good neck & shoulder, good spring of rib deep set, nice length of back, good set on tail with plenty behind it, decent bone, moved very well & freely, presented in good order, gave nice overall picture. PGD (3,1a) 1 James’ Nileda Vanguard some redeeming features but does not put all in to showing, decent head, neck & shoulder, nice length of back, fair spring of rib. Could be deeper in chest, not presented as well as have seen him, think he takes advantage of handler, would like to see him move out with more drive; 2 Lewis’ Nomis Not Now, great substance, little too much of him, presented in good order, moved out well, having said that does have his good points. LD (2) 1 Tobijanski’s Zippor White Rum, of some quality, nice type, good head slightly domed, well set ears hanging close to the cheek, good length of foreface, good bite, nice strong jaw, lovely length of neck set in well laid shoulders, good spring of rib well let down between forelegs, nicely proportioned throughout, strong rear that really pushed on the move, good front extension, showed with style, I was pleased to award him CC especially when he had been bitten on the nose on entering the ring; 2 Thomas’ Chalan Cheeky Chap at Cibach, another of some quality, nice well balanced head, good teeth, little shorter in foreface than 1, lovely size, everything fits together nicely but showing let him down. OD (6) 1 Wannocott’s Jacott Silver Beauty, of some quality, little strong in skull, ears well placed but would like them to hang close to cheek, nice length of muzzle, good bite, strong jaw, good neck, shoulder, in fact body fits together well, good tailset with enough behind, well presented with good crisp coat, moved OK though looked a little bored in the challenge. RCC; 2 Barnett’s Ch Jumbeeden Guinness, another I liked, similar to 1 but not as much of him, good head, neck & shoulder, well balanced all through, not at his best in coat, moved out well for new owner; 3 Matthews’ Leomona Star Struck, one I have judged before, lovely dog but not in the bloom he was then. GCD (0). VB (2) 1 Matthews’ Ch Leomona Star Appeal, 7 years, old favourite of mine, still has all the qualities she had when I judged some years ago, hope she continues to win; 2 Jones’ Tommarv Scarlet Ribbons, 9 years, have seen in better bloom but still a nice girl, looked rather lethargic on the move, perhaps just an off day, we all get them. PB (3) 1 Lewis’ Ornella Mimi Neon Now Nomis, very smart, looks very promising, good head, ears nicely placed, decent length of muzzle, good teeth, dark eye, good length of neck, well ribbed & bodied, good rear, moved with drive; 2 Brown’s Kamryan Take A Chance On Me, has all the attributes to do well but needs time, unlucky to meet 1; 3 Hampson’s Kamryan Audacity Of Hope, bigger all round than the two above, in good coat. Needs to settle in the ring. JB (2) 1 Thomas’ Cibach Crescendo, lovely, well balanced, good head & expression, nice length of foreface, good teeth, decent neck & shoulder, correct length of back, strong rear, enough bone, moved well. Handler seems to get up tight, this will upset her eventually; 2 K Audacity Of Hope. PGB (7,1) 1 Harrison’s Erinswood White Orchid, one I have been watching when she has been out, not so often, & have never seen her as she was today, well balanced in good bloom, lovely well proportioned head, good teeth, clean skull, good neck & shoulders, good spring of rib, nice length of back, well muscled rear. Thought she was going to lose out on the move but on the final run pulled out all the stops to win the class; 2 Hampson’s Kamryan Dream Girl, unlucky to meet 1, similar type with everything in the right place, little erratic on the move, when she settles should do well; 3 Beales’ Ornella Victoria Plush. LB (8) 1 Lewis’ Nomis New Day, another of some quality, well balanced head, dark eye, muzzle of good length, nice big teeth with correct bite, nice neck & shoulder, perhaps a little long in loin, presented in good form & moved well. RCC; 2 Wannacott’s Jacott Moonlight Serenade, nice one, just lacked sparkle on the move, nevertheless no detriment to come 2nd, her day will come; 3 Thomas’ Cibach Careless Whisper. OB (5) 1 Sacco Allevamento Saore’s It/Sw Ch Saore Goodnightlovres, having shown against & been beaten in to second by her on three occasions, which I did not mind, I relished the thought of going over her if she came to Crufts, well I am lost for words, she is superb, feminine, elegant, powerful with everything fitting together beautifully & moved like a train. CC & BOB; 2 Hansen’s Dan Ch Whitepeppers Nora Jones, similar in type to 1 but a little heavier all through, just unlucky to meet 1 in such cracking form; 3 Wannacott’s Jacott Starlight. GCB (0). |
