SEALYHAM MANCHESTER 2010 Judge: Mr Barry Day SEALYHAM JUDGE MANCHESTER 10 Sealyham Terriers PD (2) 1 Newbury’s Eleighwater Patraeus, promising baby of excellent type, pleasing head, ear & expression, good compact, deep, well ribbed body, good neckline, topline & tailset, nicely developing quarters, good angulation & feet, moved well, nicely presented with pleasing coat texture. BP; 2 Titchmarsh’s Ornella Mini Cooper, larger than 1, with a masculine head & very well ribbed-up body. His rear needs to develop & he was not at all sure of himself on the move. Good coat texture. JD (1) 1 Horn’s Kamryan Hey Look Me Over at Topstage, masculine head with pleasing ears. I liked his front assembly & good forechest, well ribbed body, nicely developed quarters, good movement, in good coat but not quite in harmony with his handler. PGD (1) 1 James’ Wileda Vanguard, typy dog with an acceptable head, good deep body, nice tight elbows, acceptable head, eye & body, good lay of shoulder, topline & set-on, nicely angulated with good quarters, moved OK. I would have preferred a firmer topline. LD (1) 1 Hampson’s Kamryan Hey Look At Me, & look at him I did, very closely & I loved him. Just as the bitch who went on to BOB displayed that lovely feature of substance & power, but with no sign of coarseness, almost elegance, this boy displayed the same qualities in the male format. On examination I liked his clean head with strong jaws & big teeth, lovely deep body, good forechest, excellent bone, good firm topline, good set-on & pleasing tail with plenty of backside behind it, good bend of stifle, moved soundly with real purpose, well presented in a good coat & if only he can get it together with his handler, I see a really bright future for him. CC. O (4,1a) 1 Wonnacott’s Jaycott Silver Beauty, quality dog making a typy, compact outline, pleasing body & bone, good forechest, quarters & angulation with neat hocks, in a good coat, moved well behind but did not quite have the front movement or topline of my CC winner. RCC; 2 Bettis’ Plumhollow Seek His Hare Ornella, plenty of substance on this one but not the construction of 1. Masculine head with neat ears, good body & bone, correct in topline, in good coat & very well presented & handled. I would have preferred a little better angulation front & back; 3 Evans’ Ch Nileda Executive Date at Sunnyview. V (1) A. PB (5,1) 1 Newbury’s Eleighwater Prunella, typy bitch, good for size & type, I see she is litter sister to the PD winner & has a little way to go to catch him up. She has a pretty head with neat ears, good forechest, & a good, well coupled body, nicely angulated, she moved soundly when settled, in a good jacket; 2 Lewis’ Ornella Mini Neon Now Nomls, close up, lovely headed bitch with a good eye, super neckline that flowed into well placed shoulders, good front, pleasing body, good quarters, angulation & neat hocks, moved well, just enough coat to feel the texture; 3 Bettis’ Ornella Mini Mayfair. JB (1) 1 Hampson’s Kamryan Dream Girl, pretty in head & making a typical outline but she did not have the spring of rib or strength in loin that I was looking for. I would have preferred straighter front legs & although she has a reasonable lay of shoulder, would have preferred better rear angulation. Good coat, moved OK. PGB (3) 1 Butcher’s Ornella Tegwins Tango, pretty headed bitch making a typy outline, nicely constructed in front, good, deep, well coupled body with pleasing bone, good neckline, topline & quarters, moved well, in good coat; 2 Beales’ Ornella Victoria Plush, pleasing bitch with plenty of substance, in superb muscletone, good deep body with a pleasing forechest, good for topline but I would have preferred a little more rear angulation, in a good jacket; 3 Peel’s Dursegg Athena at Esanar. LB (5,1) 1 Moyes’ Plumhollow Duty Bound, nicely balanced & well put together, good for type, pleased in head, good pigment, good well coupled body, pleasing forechest & plenty of bone, good topline, & angulation, neat hocks, moved OK, well presented in a good jacket & nicely handled; 2 Wonnacot’s Jacott Moonligh Serenade, close up, good head, lovely flow of neck through her shoulders, good quarters & angulation, good coat. I preferred the ribbing, coupling & topline of 1; 3 Lewis’ Nomis Ner Day. OB (6,1) 1 Sacco Allevamento Saore’s It/Sw Ch Saore Goodnightlovers, beautifully balanced, excellent type that really filled the eye, super head, lovely, well coupled body with a good forechest & lovely bone, super flow of neck, through well placed shoulders into a good firm topline, nicely angulated, plenty behind her tail, beautifully presented, moved soundly when viewed from all angles & handled to perfection, I am delighted to have been the one to complete her UK title as she is one that I would be pleased to own. CC & BOB; 2 Horn’s Ch Zippor Forever Myfyanwy, an old favourite of mine, now a veteran but in superb condition & still oozing quality, I must have judged this girl more times over the years than any other single dog of any breed & this is the first time I have not awarded her a first prize card. However, it was no disgrace to be beaten by 1 & she was a very worthy RCC winner; 3 Wonnacott’s Jaycott Starlight. VB (1) 1 Jones’ Tommary Scarlet Ribbons, pretty headed bitch in superb condition, lovely body, with a good forechest & pleasing topline. I would have preferred a shade more rear angulation. OK for coat texture, very well handled, moved OK. |
