SEALYHAM MANCHESTER 14 Judge: Mr Phillip Horspool BEST OF BREED : 1479 BETTIS Mr L & Mrs D Ch Polrose Parker Plus Ornella Sh.CM SEALYHAM JUDGE MANCHESTER 14 Sealyham Terriers PD (1) 1 Mills’ Zippor Snowman Joe of Blackthorpe, 11 months of age, typical in outline, well placed ears, correct dark eye, pleasing bone, level topline, harsh coat, moved with drive, showed well. JD & PGD (0). LD (1) 1 Newbury’s Eleighwater Petraeus, a white dog of a very good type, loved his outline, pleasing head with strong foreface, fair reach of neck, good spring of rib with a level topline, strong well made quarters, liked his coat & condition. Moved with drive however unfortunately pulled away in front, which spoilt his chances to go further, if this can be corrected I’m sure he should gain his title. OD (4,1a) 1 Bettis’ Ch Polrose Parker Plus Ornella, a white dog with badger head markings, typical masculine outline, scores in head & expression. Good bone & feet, fair reach of neck, correct level topline, good spring of rib, well made quarters, moved freely with drive, in lovely condition & well presented, good showman. CC & BOB; 2 Hawks & Bledge’s Ch/Am Ch Blomendal’s Born In The USA at Thunder, a very smart looking dog that commands attention, has many fine attributes which won him the RCC, moved & showed well; 3 Wonnacott’s Ch Whitepepper’s Saturday Night Fever at Jacott. VD (0). PB (2) 1 Bettis’ Cibach Cachet for Ornella, a promising white with lemon head markings, typical for her 8 months, pleasing head & expression, feminine stance & low to ground. Moved freely, liked the overall picture which won her BP; 2 Banks’ Amberwheat’s Hope’n’smile with Willowaire, another of the same age, has pleasing dark eye, nicely placed ears, preferred the length of foreface of the winner, correct tailset, needs time to gain experience. JB & PGB A. LB (1) 1 Newbury’s Eleighwater Araminta, a well presented white bitch with quality, liked her substance yet still feminine in outline, when I first started watching Sealyhams in the mid 80’s it was this type of bitch that I came to appreciate. Appealing head & expression, pleasing dark eye, well placed ears, good reach of neck, correct big spring of rib, good bone & tailset, strong well made quarters, moved freely, just needs to settle a touch, but she is only young & I was informed she has only attended a handful of shows. Very pleased to award her the CC. OB (6,2) 1 Evans’ Ch Zippor A Tale Of Two Sisters at Nileda, classy type of bitch, liked her head, well laid shoulders, level topline, strong quarters, moved soundly & showed very well, good coat & condition. RCC; 2 Wonnacott’s Jacott Joy Bells, another one with lots to like, typical in outline, good dark eye, ears are well placed but such a pity she didn’t want to use them too much, good front & ample bone, harsh coat, moved freely & with drive; 3 Newbury’s Eleighwater Prunella. VB (0). PHILLIP HORSPOOL |
