SEALYHAM MANCHESTER 15 Judge: Mr Ronnie Irving BEST OF BREED : 1722 BETTIS Mr L & Mrs D Ch Polrose Parker Plus Ornella Sh.CM DO YOU WISH THAT THE KENNEL CLUB WOULD PUT IT'S OWN HOUSE IN ORDER? SEALYHAM JUDGE MANCHESTER 15 Sealyham Terriers The number of dogs entered at just 19 was disappointing & with 7 absentees, that took the number present down to just 7 dogs and 5 bitches. PD (1) 1 Fulford’s Faya With Dot And Dash Prague Snowdrop, a very pleasing puppy with a good head & correct outline. Good in neck & topline & OK in head & skull. Moved out quite well but puppy coat was not at all at its best & probably needs to be stripped out & started again. BPIB. JD (4) 1 Evans’ Blomendal Jack Daniels at Nileda, scored somewhat in head over 2. Good coat & correct length of neck. Not great in tail & could be better in topline. Moved well in front & behind. Well sprung in rib. Good hindquarters well muscled & showed well; 2 Wonnacott’s Polrose Pied Piper at Jacott better in tail than 1 & 3 & not quite so heavy as 3 but not quite the head & expression of the winner. Good in neck & was of the correct shape & proportions. Better behind than in front & scored over 3 for hind movement; 3 Ensell’s Blomendal Catch Me If You Can. OD (6,3) 1 Bettis’ Polrose Parker Plus Ornella, an upstanding dog that strode out very well. He has a very good head & expression & is really powerful in jaw. Good in neck & topline. He moved out well with enthusiasm & held his topline well in the move. Well muscled & was good in tailset. Good body shape but is up to size. Went on to win CC & BOB; 2 Bledge & Hawk’s Blomendal's Born In The USA at Thunder, another one which was pleasing in head & strength of foreface. Good skull. OK in eye & good in neck. Not holding his topline quite so well as the winner. Moved out well & scored in coat & dentition over 3. RCC; 3 Wonnacott’s Saturday Night Fever at Jacott. JB (2) 1 Bledge’s Blomendal Thunder Road Kiss, a pleasing bitch which I thought scored in head over 2 here. Moved better behind than in front. OK for length of neck & scored over 2 for topline. Good coat. Could be better in tail. OK in stifle & hindquarters. Enough bone & good round feet; 2 James’ Blomendal Cookies 'n' Cream, needs time to finish in head & presentation but good in neck. Not so good in topline as 1 but moved well behind & in front. Good bone but not quite the presentation of the winner today. PGB (2,1) 1 Banks’ Amberwheat's Hope'n'smile with Willowaire, a very pleasing bitch which was not overdone in any way & very good in head & expression. Good ears & eye & strength of foreface. Pleasing enough in front & was correct in neck & topline. OK in coat & I thought moved out pretty well. Could be better in tail but was pleasing in hindquarters & has a good shape & outline. Went on to win RCC. OB (3,2) 1 Evans’ Zippor A Tale Of Two Sisters at Nileda, a very pleasing bitch with a good head & expression but was very much spoiled by not being in good coat & had to pay the penalty. Correct size & shape. Good neck. Moved a shade better behind than in front. Had enough bone & correct feet. VB (1) 1 Bledge & Hawks’ Thunder Road This Kiss, very typical in head with the right expression. Correct shape of skull & really strong in jaw with overall head proportions excellent. OK in coat. Good neck & OK in shoulders. Good level topline. Plenty of muscle & good round feet. Moved out well behind. Had a good deal of type. Went on to win the CC. RONNIE IRVING |
