How fitting that my first Sealyham Breed Club Show engagement was in Wales and now the pinnacle of my Sealyham judging appointment(s) that my first time CC appointment has also occurred in their native homeland Wales.

It’s such a privileged to judge at this superbly run show where the setting is stunning and the warm hospitality is second to none. My sincere thanks to the officers and committee for the invitation and the exhibitors for the lovely entry, particularly in these difficult financial times. Also may I extend my appreciation to my most capable ring stewards.

I was very pleased with my winners who made for a typical and attractive final line-up. A truly memorable day.

Junior - Dog Entries: 3 Absentees: 1

1st WHITEPEPPER'S SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER (MRS J R WONNACOTT) Very pleasing outline, lovely balanced head with dark eye .Good forehand with plenty of heart room, strong in loin with excellent hindquarters, which provided drive, and reach when on the move, a quality youngster who is maturing along the right lines and well deserved the RCC

2nd ZIPPOR I WILL REMEMBER YOU (MISS J TOBIJANSKI) Another very pleasing youngster.of quality.Pleased in head and super expression correct for bone and well bodied. A lovely character with the best of temperaments he was handled to advantage. Moved out very soundly but not holding his topline today as well as 1st.

Open - Dog Entries: 5 Absentees: 2

1st JACOTT SIVER BEAUTY (MRS J R WONNACOTT) A very honest dog correct for size,at the peak of maturity and lacking coarseness very well balanced, great substance and low to the ground with excellent coat texture. Good head of good length and strength, excels in under jaw .Strong neck into good shoulders, excellent bone with straight front, firmest of quarters so well muscled with good angulations. Level firm top line and tail on top. And plenty enough behind. Good feet well padded and strong .Moved out briskly with style covering the ground well fore and aft. In tip top form, presentation and attitude today and I was delighted to award him the CC & BOB. Thus culminating in his well deserved title.

2nd IR CH CIBACHCELTICCONNECTIONJDAN CH 09 (MR A DALY) Another quality male of correct proportions and low to ground good breed type and was in good form for coat and muscle tone and handled to get nothing but the best from him. Simply powered around the ring without any effort, driving from a well angulated and strong rear still holding a firm top line. Just to improve the finished picture he would benefit from leaving him with more head furnishings, strongly considered for RCC.

Puppy - Bitch Entries: 2 Absentees: 0

1st CIBACH CELEBRATION (MR A DALY) An eye catching bitch in great condition, lovely head, dark eye, neat ears carried well, low to the ground with a cracking topline which she kept on the move what a show girl she looked a picture, performed brilliantly and moved like a dream. Was delighted to award her BPIB and then see her achieve Terrier puppy group 4. One to watch for the future with much interest

2nd CIBACH CRISTAL CLEAR (MRS C F` THOMAS) Another bitch of style and quality good head shape with correct length of foreface.Excels in topline plenty behind the rear with tailset and carriage good. As yet not as mature in the body as 1st who is her litter sister.

Shown and presented well .She was sound but rather more wilful on the move. My notes read “Full of character”. Two youngsters to be proud of.

Junior - Bitch Entries: 3 Absentees: 1

1st ORNELLA MINI MAYFAIR (MR L & MRS D BETTIS) A raw youngster full of mischief who is rather wilful when stacked so tends to lose her top line which fortunately then improved when she was on the move. Nice head, eye and expression .Well bodied, she excels in coat texture, strong hock and well muscled hindquarters with deep second thigh, which provided correct drive when moving

2nd ZIPPOR TALE OF TWO SISTERS AT NILEDA (MRS M EVANS) Another nice youngster she also pleased for overall type and coat condition. Ribs well sprung and in good body. Moves soundly with good drive, just pulled to one side on occasions losing thus her outline.

Post Graduate - Bitch Entries: 2 Absentees: 1

1st ORNELLA TEGWENS TANGO (MR J D BUTCHER) Good type.Good head,eye and expression. Well balanced and pleasing in profile, she presents a good height to length ratio, correct oblong outline. Plenty of substance. Good angles front and rear, with powerful hind quarters. She moved soundly around the ring.

Limit - Bitch Entries: 4 Absentees: 1

1st CIBACH CRESCENDO (MRS C F` THOMAS) Real quality bitch lovely size, Beautiful head, correct ears and dark eye giving lovely expression, good neck and well laid shoulders excellent outline oblong and low she was well bodied. With level top line, good rear angulation and tail on top, good bone and feet. In good hard condition and well presented in the correct coat. Showed and moved very well. Really liked her, very well deserved CC winner was just pipped for BOB by the upstanding attitude of the male. Has a bright future ahead of her I am sure.

2nd TOMMARV RUBY SUNDAY (MR C JONES) Comparable for type and size as winner so naturally many similar remarks apply. Very feminine pretty head of good length with lovely expression, pleasing in outline as she too was correct for oblong low body with good angulations rear and fore and correct for bone.Such a nice quality bitch to go over. Handled very confidently and shown to great advantage. Very pleased to award her the RCC.

1st TOMMARV SCARLET RIBBONS (MR C JONES) A typy bitch with nice head good eye shape and expression, pleasing outline correct bone and substance with a level top line and good tail set hind movement sound, body low and covers the ground with ease and was very well handled by her young charge.
