SEALYHAM SOUTH WALES 14 Judge(s): BARRY DAY Sealyham Terriers PD (1) 1 Wonnacott’s Polrose Pied Piper, a typy youngster making an impressive outline, who did not make the best of himself but impressed on examination. Good for pigment & a clean, masculine head with a pleasing expression & neat ears. Good deep body with plenty of bone & nice tight shoulders. Lovely flow of neck into a good firm topline. Well developed quarters & plenty behind his tail already. He moved with drive but could have been more settled with his front movement. I liked him a lot & will watch his show career with interest. BP. JD (1) 1 Evans’ Blomendal Jack Daniels at Nileda, stood alone in the class but a quality dog, a lovely size & good for type. Masculine head with a good eye, although the rims could have been a shade better in pigmentation. Lovely flow of neck into a good topline. Good deep body with a lovely forechest. Nicely angulated, with good quarters & neat hocks he moved well, holding his outline on the move. Presented in a good jacket. CC. LD (2,1a) 1 Ensell’s Blomendal Catch Me If You Can, good for size & type. Pleasing head with a good eye & nice strong foreface. Well ribbed body with a good topline but I would have preferred more forechest & tighter elbows. Nicely angulated with well developed quarters & neat hocks, he moved better in front than behind. Looked his best on the move in profile. OD (3,1) 1 Bedge & Hawkes’ Ch/Am Ch Blomendals Born In The USA at Thunder Road, an up to size dog with a strong head & making a super outline. Lovely flow of neck into a good firm topline & good set on & tail. Good, deep, well ribbed & well coupled body with a good forechest. Nicely angulated & with well developed quarters, he was presented in a very good jacket & moved well. In the challenge, I just preferred the size of the JD, who I see is sired by this one. RCC; 2 Wonnacott’s Ch Whitepepper’s Saturday Night Fever at Jaycott, this one was a better size but did not make the outline of 1. Whilst I would have preferred a more masculine head, with a stronger foreface, I liked his good, well ribbed body & firm topline. With pleasing angulation & good quarters, he moved well. JB (3,2) 1 Bledge’s Blomendal Thunder Road Kiss, another who I see is sired by the OD winner & is sister to the DCC. Good for size & type with a good feminine head, pleasing expression & neat ears. Good, deep body with a lovely forechest although I would have preferred slightly tighter elbows. Lovely flow of neck into a good topline, nicely angulated rear with well muscled quarters. Presented in a good jacket, she moved well. PGB (3,2) 1 Jones’ Jaycott Joyful Dream for Tommarv, another that I liked for size & type. Feminine head with a nice eye. Ears not quite balanced in their set. Super well ribbed body with a lovely forechest & nice tight elbows. Not quite the topline or set on that I was looking for & in sparse coat, she moved well behind & OK in front. OB (3,1) 1 Hetherington & Coad’s Ch/Am Ch Goodspice Efbe’s Know Easy Way Out, a lovely example of good substance with balance. Lovely feminine head with a good eye & neat, well placed ears. Super well ribbed body with nice tight elbows. Lovely flow of neck through well placed shoulders into a good topline. Nicely angulated, with plenty behind her tail, in a good jacket & superbly presented, she looked a picture on the move. CC & BOB; 2 Wonnacott’s Ch Jaycott Joy Bells, good for size & type with a pleasing head & expression. Good, deep body with nice tight elbows & pleasing bone. Good straight topline but not quite the flow of neck of 1. Presented in a good jacket, she moved with plenty of drive. RCC. VB (1) 1 Jones’ Tommarv Ruby Sunday, lovely size & good type with a feminine head, good well coupled body with plenty of forechest. A little weak in topline but good, well muscled quarters. Presented in a jacket of good texture & very well handled, she moved OK. BARRY DAY |
