SEALYHAM JUDGE WELSH KENNEL CLUB 14

Sealyham Terriers

Numerically I thought the entry of 30 was quite good but I was disappointed with the quality. Presentation left a lot to be desired, there were many with soft coats & some that weren’t even that clean.

VD (0).

PD (3)

1 BP & RCC, Ensell’s Blomendal Catch Me If You Can, 11½ months, already looks the finished article, well grown & constructed puppy, masculine head, strong underjaw, muscular neck, strong body, big quarters, held his topline on the move, moved well once he got into a trot, well presented but coat needs to have a more harsh texture which will come;

2 Evans’ Blomendal Jack Daniels at Nileda, litter brother to 1, pleasing head, good neck & shoulders, well fitting coat, good bone. Bit bouncy on the move but he will calm down. Two nice puppies;

3 Wonnacott’s Polrose Pied Piper at Jacott.

JD (0).

PGD (1)

1 Thomas’ Sojus Hepatica Nobilis, 20 months, bit of a handful on the move, good silhouette standing, firm body, keen expression, well coated, showed well once he settled down.

LD (0).

OD (4,1a)

1 CC & BOB, Hawks & Bledge’s Ch/Am Ch Blemendal’s Born In The USA at Thunder Rd, 4½ years real stallion, comfortable winner, I thought, strong male head, keen looking & focused, excellent bone & depth of body, low to ground, plenty of power in movement, very good coat quality, clean & well presented, level topline, fit & healthy, impressed on the move, steady showman, strong quarters;

2 Bettis’ Ch Polrose Parker Plus Ornella, 3 years, well up to size for a male, typical head, dark expressive eyes, clean neckline, good body & quarters, ample bone, moved OK. Showing more daylight than 1;

3 Wonnacott’s Ch Whitepepper’s Saturday Night Fever at Jacott.

VB (1)

1 Jones’ Tommarv Ruby Sunday, 7 years, feminine in every way, sympathetically handled, keen terrier expression. Not moving too well, failed in topline, coat rather soft.

PB (4,1)

1 Bledge’s Blomendal Thunder Road Kiss, litter sister to 1 & 2 in PD, enthusiastic terrier & in a hurry to get going. Quality head, good outline & proportions, well bodied, keen showgirl, excellent coat. Just needs to calm down;

2 Bettis’ Polrose Passion Flower for Ornella, 8 months, quality puppy, pleasing head & expression, sturdy body, moved OK. Needs an adult coat to complete the picture;

3 Gledhill’s Tyniadgen Glumbumble.

JB (3,1)

1 Banks’ Amberwheat’s Hope ‘n’ Smile with Willowaire, 15 months, well proportioned youngster in good form, excellent coat & body, feminine head, well muscled quarters. Tailset could be a little higher;

2 Bettis’ Cibach Cachet for Ornella, 16 months, coat not at its best & failed in hind movement today. Typical head, good neck & shoulders, firm body.

PGB (4,1)

1 Trezise-Dundas’ Cibach Cheeky Chops at Firstwish, 3½ years, not the most willing showgirl but did enough to win this class. Good length of head, dark eyes, good body, moved OK. Would like better coat texture;

2 Sands’ Seasmolt French Connection with Krakenexis, 21 months feminine bitch, but a bit light all through, clean & well presented, good neckline. Not moving 100 per cent behind;

3 Jones’ Jacott Joyful Dream for Tommarv.

LB (5,1)

1 Ruddock’s Jacott Juniper Gem for Flojo, 2 years, pleasing head, good front, bone & body, moved OK. Would like a harsher coat;

2 Thomas’ Cibach Careless Whisper, 6 years, looked well standing, feminine head, well proportioned, reluctant to get her tail up on the move; 3 Gledhill’s Tevant Eldeflower.

OB (5,2)

1 CC, Hetherington & Good’s Am Ch Goodspice Efbes Know Easy Way Out, 2 years, easily the best bitch today, very feminine, well bodied with good topline & tailset, expressive eyes, arched neck, good bone, excellent coat & presentation, easy mover, well muscled quarters. Not going as well in front as the dog when competing for BOB;

2 RCC, Wonnacott’s Ch Jacott Joy Bells, 3½ years, good honest bitch with all the essentials, attractive head, dark eyes, steady showgirl, moved OK, good body & rib;

3 Tobijanski’s Zippor Break A Leg.
