SKYE BIRMINGHAM NATIONAL 17 Judge: Mr Martin Phillips BEST OF BREED : 2185 BREEZE Mrs S Salena The Magnificent One SKYE JUDGE BIRMINGHAM NATIONAL 17 Skye Terriers I would like to thank the exhibitors for bringing their dogs of good quality, all of good temperament & good presentation. MPD (0). PD (1) 1 Kendrick’s Frisco Kiaora at Jeraro, 9 months old, nice quality puppy, all male, good strength of head & jaw, good ear placement, good strong bone, OK in front, good strong topline, strong quarters, good coat for age, moved well. BP. JD (2,1a) 1 Woodhead’s Knowlespring Drummer Boy, lovely cream male of 16 months, I liked his overall picture standing, good head proportions with strength, good arched neck with strong body, holding topline on the move, good texture of coat, goes well. PGD (1) 1 Herbert’s Tweedsmuir Stargazer, masculine male, liked him for his outline & balance, excellent bone with good length of body, to be critical would like more neck, strong behind & sound. OD (1) 1 Breeze’s Salena The Magnificent One, top quality male, presentation & quality you would expect from this kennel, lovely strong skull & jaw, correct ear placement, strong arched neck going into good front assembly, OK for body, OK for topline, well muscled quarters, lovely picture stacked & on the move, pleased to give him his crown, well worthy. VD (3) Class of three good dogs. 1 Burscough’s Glorfindel Secret Shadow at Kilfinan, 7 year old black, lovely quality dog, so well balanced, excellent type, good bone for size, strong in body with good angulated quarters, excellent coat, sound on the move. RCC; 2 Harrison’s Ch/Ir Ch Knowlespring Jail House Rock for Trenso, 10 year old cream, different type than 1, again full of quality, head & neck strong, & body, firm topline, good picture stacked, not moving as well as 1; 3 Shuttleworth’s Ch Whicheeta Celtic Keepsake. MPB (1) 1 Boden’s Tweedsmuir Flite Of Fancy among Suelynda, 6 month old baby, raw at the moment, has lots of promise, good type & shape, sound on the move, a good picture. PB (2) 1 Roberts’ Glorfindel Effort at Sunabil, 11 months old cream, good type & shape, pleasing bone for size, liked her head, eye & ear placement, good, OK for front & body, strong topline, excellent quarters for age, sound on the move, should have a bright future. BPB; 2 T Flite Of Fancy among S. JB (1) 1 G Effort at S. PGB (3) 1 Zvezdina’s Juger Edelweiss Mary Poppins, top quality cream in top form, lots to like, excellent outline, correct head planes, good body assembly, excellent ribs with firm topline, moving well back & forth, showed well; 2 Monaghan’s Tweedsmuir Shooting Star, brindle, smaller type than 1st, but lots of quality, balanced & sound, excellent for size, nice picture on the move; 3 Bryden & Bryden’s Esgia’s Sula Froya. LB (3) Lovely class. 1 Whincup’s Bunnybois Inspiration, 2 year old cream, top quality, correct size & bone, lovely head, good expression, excels in neck & front, correct length of rib with firm topline, well angulated hindquarters which she uses, lovely coat & condition, lovely picture stacked, pleased to give her her 2nd CC, her 3rd can’t be far; 2 Ryan’s Feorlig Romantica, beautiful b/br bitch, would have pressed hard for top honours, loads to like about her, excellent form, wouldn’t play ball with handler today, once settled will get her title; 3 Burscough’s Glorfindel Shadow Wings at Kilfinan. OB (2,1) 1 Breeze’s Ch Salena Silver Sapphire, well worthy ch, loved her overall quality & type, excellent breed type, head & front assembly good, OK for body, excellent topline stacked & moving, in excellent coat, very sound, pressed hard for CC but today just preferred the overall picture of 1. CC. VB (1) 1 Shuttleworth’s Whicheeta Celtic Cruisader, lovely bitch for 8 years, very good all round, head, neck & front good, OK for body, good picture on the move, excellent coat. MARTIN PHILLIPS
