SCWT CLUB OF GB CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW – 23/10/2022 Judge Graham Dowdy 1. Mapson’s Ch/Am Ch Abiqua Wild Jack Of Hearts ShCM. Excellent masculine dog without being course, well balanced. Good head proportions with correct dentition. Correct earset & big black nose. Pleasing length of neck. Strong level topline. Coat of clear wheaten colour. Correct tail set. Good front & well angulated rear which allowed him to move out with purpose. Belies his 10 years & credit must be given to his owner as he was presented in outstanding condition. Pleased to award him DCC & BOS 2. Blandford Ch Janeyjimjams Joshua. Strong head & correct bite. I would prefer to see a little more length of neck to complete the picture. Straight front & level topline. Deep chest. Excellent coat, good texture. Steady on the move. 3. Tilley’s Janeyjimjams Jubilee Star At Starzak ShCM Head not as masculine as 1 but has more length of neck which presented better overall balance. Good shoulder placement but would prefer a little more spring of rib. Lovely soft coat and super wheaten colour. Not as positive in movement as 2. MPD 1. Hart & Cook’s Dannebriel We Will Rock You. Lovely puppy. excellent balance throughout. Good head properties & correct dentition. Neck & shoulders well placed. Deep chest, strong topline. Good rear angulation. Moved straight forward & back showing drive in profile. I will watch his progress with interest as shows early promise at just 7 months. 2. Erzen’s Keevasdream Mr Blue Sky Another at 7m, Smaller in size. Good bite with strength to muzzle. Dark hazel eye. Good Length of neck, Straight front. Decent rear angulation. A little unsure in the ring so not as positive in movement as 1 but should settle with additional training and experience. PGD 1. Herbert’s Saffini Smooth Operator At Julibidd. 16m, Masculine throughout, well balanced with strong bone. Head proportions exquisite, excellent bite with large teeth. Straight front, deep chest, tail on top. Correct rear angulation. His coat is age appropriate just needing time to mature. Moved out with reach & drive 2. Gent & Williams Calvenace House Of Fun. 19m, Big black nose, dark hazel eye. Correct dentition, flat skull. Ear set & carriage good. I would like to see a little more neck for overall balance. Good topline & rear angulation, preferred reach on 1. Lots to like about these two lads so hard to split, close decision.
1 Barrett’s Saffini Shining Star. Very nicely balanced in profile. Good head properties. Straight front, good depth of chest and level topline. Coat of correct texture & wave. Moved out steadily forward & back. 2. Instance’s Keevasdream White Knight Good neck & shoulders, deep chest & level topline. Longer cast than 1. Good rear angulation but a little erratic in movement today. Clear coat of deep wheaten colour. OD 1. Charlton’s House of Softy Indus (Imp Swe) Correct size, lovey masculine head without coarseness. Excellent layback of shoulders, deep chest & level topline. Well angulated rear, moved out with reach & drive. Coat of good colour with desired soft loose wave RDCC 2. Grimes- Watson & Watson Janeyjimjams Jem Devlin. Close up to 1 with many positive attributes. strong neck, well placed shoulders, deep chest with good spring of ribs. Balanced overall & tail on top. Just preferred size & head properties of 1. 3. William’s Flaxela Living Legend Of Gwendonydd. A bigger dog all round, however, still presents decent overall balance. Strong head, correct dentition & dark pigmentation throughout. Good length of neck, deep chest. Coat of good colour & wave. Rear angulation adequate, however rear movement was erratic today, I felt a slower pace on the move would have been beneficial. ChD 1. Blandford Ch Janeyjimjams Joshua SpVetB 1. Barrett’s Ch Saffini Sugar & Spice I have judged this bitch before & even into her veteran years excels in many areas having type & balance. Lovely expression, particularly good head proportions. Great length of neck flowing into correct shoulder placement, strong level topline. Coat of good colour with wave. Moved out with purpose. BVB 2. Ch Janeyjimjams Jolene. Feminine head, loner in muzzle than 1. Good shoulders, straight front, I would have liked a little more depth of chest. Lovely colour & wave to coat, moved out with reach & drive. 3. Kanjuly Scarlet O’Hara. 9 yrs, Super wave & colour to coat. Overall balanced, very good neck & shoulders. Tail on top, good rear angulation, moving out well for age. SpVinB 1. Wright’s Kariskiye Tip Top Too Ticky To Abbeymead 10 yrs, good head proportions with a lovely expression, dark eye & pigmentation. Correct shoulder placement, good depth of chest & spring of rib. Level topline good tailset. Moved out well to take this class. 2. Ch Janeyjimjams Jemima. 12 Yrs, finer in head. Good length of neck & shoulder placement. A little longer cast than 1. Coat of deep wheaten colour with desired waved. Steady & straight on the move. 3. Kanjuley Scarlet & Gold. 13 yrs & presented in excellent condition for her age. Another with a lovely head & expression. Good Length of neck into well placed shoulders, slight rise over topline. Enough rear angulation moved OK MPB 1. Grant’s Dannebriel Me And My Girl I see that this bitch is a litter sister to my MPD class winner. Lots to like on this one, scored on head properties, correct dentition. Very balanced throughout, great neck & shoulder placement. Gorgeous puppy coat. Level topline & well angulated rear which showed on the move, has a bright future ahead, 2. Hughlock’s Keevasdream Ballerina Blue. Another displaying good overall balance. Slightly finer in head than 1 but bite good. Dark eye & pigmentation. Lengthy neck & good shoulder placement. Well sprung ribs for age. Moved well out & back. 3. Bodenham’s Keevasdream Blue Velvet. Feminine expression, dark eye & correct dentition. Enough neck & another who has well placed shoulders. A little unsettled when standing, give her time she is a very promising puppy. PB 1. Bradford, Hobson & Mapson’s Azydeci Abiqua Wild Dernier Paradis (Imp USA) Super for overall balance. Great Expression, head properties & lovely dentition. Good reach to neck, flowing into well placed shoulders. Straight front, level topline & correct tailset. Soft coat of good wheaten colour for age. Super side profile movement, straight forward & back which took her to BPB & BPIS 2. Wassall’s Clannhanna A Kind Of Magic For Emalot (AI) Longer cast than 1. Feminine Expression, correct dentition, dark eye. Good colour to coat & wave coming through. Moved out with reach & drive 3. Tilley’s Brynhir Born To Boogie At Starzak. Stood square with good overall balance. Feminine head, good reach of neck. Depth of chest to elbow. Good rear angulation, moving out well but a little close behind today. JB 1. Williams Greystable Williams. Strong head but still retains a feminine expression. Enough neck into well placed shoulders. Chest down to elbow. Coat of good texture maturing well. Moved out well, straight forward & back. I would prefer to see her a size smaller. SYB 1. MacGregor’s Kirktonhill A Touch Of Snow. Lovely head & expression, dark eye with correct bite & good strength to muzzle. Good reach of neck into correctly placed shoulders. Deep chest with straight front. Strong level topline which was held on the move. Displayed reach & drive on the move. 2. Hammond & Evans Calvenace Ruby Tuesday. Good head properties with strong muzzle. Correct dentition, lovely shoulder placement & deep chest. Coat soft with wave. A little erratic in movement today. NB 1. Mason’s Emalot Livin On A Prayer. I liked her for type & balance. Dark pigmentation & good eye colour, correct bite, strength to muzzle. Well placed shoulders & deep chest. Topline OK. Enough rear angulation, moving out well. GB 1. Black & White’s Celtannia Madame X At Mayurasana. Good head properties with feminine expression. Lovely neck & shoulders, deep chest. Strong level topline, tailset good. Coat of correct texture, colour & wave starting to come through. Steady on the move & nicely made but needs to be more animated/spirited to complete the picture. PGB 1. Howes Flaxela Flirtini At Daisymaes (AI) I have watched her progress from ringside & she does not disappoint hands-on. Feminine expression, correct dentition. Lovely length of neck flowing into correct shoulder placement. Super topline & tailset. Moved out with reach & drive, pushed hard in the challenge for RBCC 2. Jones Silverluka Isn’t She Lovely. Correct size, feminine head with dark eye, big black nose. Moderate length of neck, correct shoulder placement. Adequate rear angulation. Movement not easy to assess today as she needs to build her confidence up in a show environment this will enhance her performance & enable her to show off her virtues. MLB 1. Hammond & Evans Calvenace Lady Is A Tramp. Strong head but retains feminine expression. Correct bite, dark eye, strength to muzzle. Strong neck into correct shoulder placement. Deep chest & straight front. Good topline & tailset. Coat of correct colour & wave. Happy girl with non-stop wagging tail. 2. Mason’s Emalot Living On A Prayer LB My hardest decision & could easily change places on another day 1. Barrett’s Saffini The Sweetest Taboo. Superb throughout, displaying great balance. Feminine head with correct dark hazel eye, correct scissor bite, strong muzzle. Lovely reach of neck flowing into correct shoulder placement. Deep chest. Super coat for texture, colour & desired wave. Moved out positively with reach & drive. RBCC & RBIS 2. Bradford & Hobson’s Bonney Abiqua Wild Desert Whispers (Imp USA) Many of the same attributes as 1. Feminine head, great neck & shoulder, straight front. Deep Chest, excellent topline & tailset. Lovely rear angulation. Coat of good colour & texture. Moved out with reach & drive 3. Wright’s Abbeymead Capelli D’Angelo. A size up on 1 & 2 but this said she is still feminine in outlook with super head properties. Good shoulders & depth of chest. Lovely topline & tailset, a little longer in loin. Coat of great colour & wave. Good rear angulation, moved out straight forward & back. OB 1. Springford’s Keevasdream White Linen. I have admired her ringside for some time, and she does not disappoint hands-on. Excels in balance & breed type. Feminine head, with correct stop & strength of muzzle, dentition correct. Super length of neck flowing into excellent shoulder placement. Chest down to elbow, straight front & good strength of bone. Level topline held on the move, good tailset. Great coat for colour, texture & wave. Good rear angulation. Moved out displaying super reach & drive. Pleased to award her BCC, which I understand was her crowning 3rd, congratulations. In the challenge for BIS she excelled in movement & could not be denied the top honour. 2. Charlton’s House of Softy Indi Janeyjimjams (Imp Swe) I see this girl is the litter sister to my RDCC winner. Presents a lovey picture standing. Feminine expression, dark eye & correct dentition. Good reach if neck & well-placed shoulders. Correct depth of chest & spring of ribs. Moved out well. 3. Kanjuley Scarlet Rose. Another quality bitch with much to like & close to 2 in many ways. Lovely neck & shoulders, good depth of chest, nice straight front, level topline & high tailset. Coat of good colour, soft & silky. Moved out well. Brace 1. Charlton’s House of Softy Indus (Imp Swe)/ House of Softy Indi Janeyjimjams (Imp Swe), Litter mates who scored on type. A balanced pair for size & shape. Presented in good coats, moving out well together. 2. Munn’s Snowmeadow Suzy Sixpence/Snowmeadow Treacle Toffee. A mother & daughter combination. Of good type & balance. Great texture to coat but paler in colour. Not so settled on the move as 1 when moving out together. Progeny 1. Hughlock’s Ch Janeyjimjams Jolene. Displaying good balance throughout. I particularly liked the heads on this family group. All coats of strong wheaten colour & all moving out well together. 2. House of Softly Indus (Imp Swe) Nice team displaying overall balance & correct size. Some a little paler in coat colour than 1. 3. Ch Janeyjimjams Jolene. Not quite the overall uniformity of 1 & 2 however some particularly good dogs within this family group. |
