SOFT COATED WHEATEN BELFAST 13 Judge(s): MISS ANN INGRAM Soft-coated Wheaten Terriers PD (1) 1 McLoughlin’s Tristan Tobias Kni-York, very promising male of nice size & type with correct coat & colour. Well balanced head, nice expression & well set ears, good reach of neck, well laid shoulders, short back, good topline & body. Strong hindquarters. A little loose in front movement but very positive on the move keeping his nice outline. BP. OD (6) 1 Evans-Barry’s Int/Ir Ch Hobel Joe O’Brien, very close decision between 1 & 2. Well balanced dog with good coat & colour, very nice type. Long, well filled head, dark eyes & well set ears. Good neck & shoulder, good depth of brisket, short coupled & good topline. Could be more positive on the move & have better rear drive but he scored in front over 2. CC; 2 Butler’s Ir Ch Ballysax Bremner, I loved the overall balance & attitude of this dog. Very nice head & expression, well set ears, short back, good topline & tailset, very positive on the move with a lovely outline. RCC; 3 McLoughlin’s Ch Hobel Drummer Boy. PB (2) 1 Herbert’s Calvenace She’s The One, feminine bitch who just needs time to develop the correct coat texture. Lovely shape with her good head, dark eyes & well set ears. Excellent front with good layback of shoulder, short back, good depth of brisket & topline, strong hindquarters which she used so well on the move. I think she will have a bright future, just needs a bit more time; 2 Evans-Barry’s Hobel Devil Woman, very immature but showing very well. Head falls away under the eyes, nice expression, good reach of neck, a little weak in pasterns, good body & hindquarters, carries herself well on the move. JB (2) 1 Johnson’s Garsayno Gold Imp, well presented with good coat & colour. Long head with nice expression & well set ears. Good reach of neck, could be shorter coupled, moved well keeping a nice outline. Scored in coat & colour; 2 Collins-Kennedy & Collins’ Ballinvounig Take A Chance, well balanced feminine bitch, just needs time to improve her coat & colour. Pleasing head. A little hard in expression. Good front, short back, good topline & tailset, carries herself well on the move. PGB (1) 1 Glennon’s Hobelina Living Doll, feminine, well balanced bitch with tons of attitude! Pleasing head & expression, good reach of neck & layback of shoulder. Could have better topline & tailset, moved well. Still very immature. LB (2) 1 Glennon’s Hobel Karacsony, well presented feminine bitch with excellent coat & colour. Good length of head but could have stronger muzzle. Good neck & shoulder, good depth of brisket, short back, good topline & tailset. Could have a little more rear angulation, but moves really well keeping her nice outline. RCC. OB (6) 1 Evans-Barry’s Ir Ch Hobel I Love You, very typy bitch with correct coat, well presented, good length of head, good reach of neck & well laid shoulders. Short back, good topline & hindquarters. Not as positive on the move as 2 but better length of foreleg. CC & BOB; 2 McLoughlin’s Ch House Of Softy Ofelia, very typy, feminine bitch with good coat & colour. She really caught my eye going round the ring with her strong movement & positive attitude. Very nice head & expression, well set ears, good neck & shoulder. Just needs a bit more height of foreleg to give a more balanced outline. Short back, good topline, tailset, strong hindquarters; 3 Rutherford’s Ir Ch Ballinvounig Littlegem. ANN INGRAM |
