SOFT COATED WHEATEN BOURNEMOUTH 19 Judge: Mr N Straw BEST OF BREED : 300 DOWDY, Ms J I & DOWDY Mr G J Ch Greentree Gold Mombo To Denzilly (Imp) SOFT COATED WHEATEN JUDGE BOURNEMOUTH 19 Thank you to the Committee for the invitation to judge at their annual Championship Show. Many thanks also to the exhibitor’s for a lovely entry and my stewards who, despite the weather conditions, kept everything together. Considering the weather conditions, the tempraments of the dogs were outstanding and coped very well under the circumstances and behaved so well which is a great testament to the breeds character. Sadly it would appear that mouths are still an issue, size was varied but should remain balanced overall, length of loin needs watching, which creates weak toplines which spoils the overall balance and profile, presentation of the dogs was of a high standard. PD (2) 1, BPD & RDCC, Grimes & Watson’s Janeyjimjams Jem Devlin. A pup with that ‘look at me’ attitude, well contructed head, flat skull, ample stop, good muzzle and bite, straight front, deep chest, firm loin, level topline and good tail set, sound quarters, low set parallel hocks used to advantage giving good positive drive from behind, still developing but great promise for the future and should do well. 2 Cole & Cooper’s Olicanarocks Rumbold. Not as outgoing as first, but has a well made head, good ear carriage, muzzle and bite, straight front, good depth of chest, well ribbed back, held a good topline, tail set ok, low set hocks, not giving his best on the move today. JD (2) 1 Instance’s Keevasdream White Knight. Young d of good breed type and still maturing, well made head, good ear set and carriage, strong muzzle and bite, ample bone, deep chest to firm loin, lovely topline and tail set, used his sound quarters and low set hocks to advantage on the move, very promising. 2 Kenneally’s Loofahsa Humdinger. Similar age to first and developing well, flat skull, well set ears, clean bite, moderate neck, ribs, carried well back, balanced quarters and well padded feet, movement not as free flowing as first on the day. PGD (1) 1 Page-Ginnelly’s Glendowan Extra Special. Well proportioned head, well set ears, good pigment, muzzle and bite, straight front, deep chest to firm loin, low set hocks, correct coat texture, just loses his topline at times in profile could show and move with a tad more confidence but could have been the conditions on the day. LD (2) 1 Barrett’s Saffini Shining Star. Mature d with a balanced outline, flat skull, well placed ears, good muzzle and bite, ample bone, good run-in and layback, held a strong topline, well set tail, used his well made quarters to advantage on the move. 2 Wardle’s Denzilly He’s Got The Look. Not as mature as first overall but has a well balanced head, correct shaped eye, good muzzle, moderate neck, deep chest, firm loin, strong hindquarters and low set hocks, correct coat texture, steady on the move. OD (7, 1) 1, DCC & BOB, Dowdy & Dowdy’s Ch Greentree Gold Mombo To Denzilly (Imp). A d with great ring presence, although still a youngster he has a well built frame and good muscletone, flat skull, well placed ears, distinct stop, strong muzzle, ok for bone, muscular neck, good layback, deep chest to short firm loin, good tail set and carriage, low set hocks used well to give good drive, lovely textured coat, movement was balanced and true. 2 Withington’s Ch Fantasa Blonde Rufus. Another well balanced d, flat skull, good ear carriage, straight front, muscular neck, good ribbing, strong loin, low set hocks, lovely coat texture. 3 Moles & Williams’ Ch Celtannia Atlanic Gold. SBD/B (2) 1 Gleeson’s Glendowan Golden Brandy. Lovely breed type, flat skull, good ear set and carriage, ample bone, deep chest to firm loin, lovely topine and tail set, low set hocks, lovely coat texture, once settled moved out well. 2 Sheehan’s Keevasdream White Lace. Feminine head, well shaped eye and ear set, ample bone, straight front, deep chest, short loin, low set hocks, lovely coat texture, not as settled on the move as first, I hope this lady owner is feeling much better. Second and third litter sisters and very similar in many ways and sired by the DCC winner. Feminine head, flat skull, well shaped eye, straight front, good ribbing, short loin, well set tail, correct coat texture showed steady, just preferred overall balance and outline of first, but can change places on another day. 3 Keevasdream White Lace. PGB (5, 2) 1 Satherley’s Silkcroft Point And Shoot. Smart b, lovely outline, balanced in skull, well set ears, good muzzle and bite, slighty arched neck, good topline, ample angulation to low set hocks, very keen on the move which was free flowing. 2 Cooper’s Kanjuley Scarlett Ribbons. Well proportioned head, well placed ears, ample stop, strong muzzle, straight front, deep chest, well ribbed back, parallel hocks, held a good topline on the move, well padded feet, 3 Glendowan Golden Brandy. LB (5, 1) 1 Munn’s Snowmeadow Suzy Sixpence. Lovely breed type as always from this kennel, she is well balanced but does give her owner/breeder/handler a hard time, but has character and animation not a robot, which is great to see, well balanced head, flat skull, correct shaped eye, ample stop, strong muzzle and correct bite, deep chest to short loin, when she settles moves out well and gives a good outline in profile, lovely coat of correct texture. 2 Moles & Williams’ Celtannia Atlantic Aida. Good breed type, flat skull, distinct stop, good muzzle, ample bone, deep chest, short loin, low set hocks, good coat texture, on the move just preferred the overall profile of first. 3 Grant’s Dannebrief Gladly Godetia ShCM.
