I would like to thank all exhibitors for a very nice entry, I thoroughly enjoyed the occasion. Lovely dogs and very nice handlers. Overall I was very pleased with the quality of the dogs on display, the level of handling and presentation was excellent. I felt a little for some of the younger exhibits who were a little unsettled by the atmosphere and the loud PA system. The strength of the breed, as ever, is evident in some of the older exhibits still making a very impressive fight of it in the veteran classes. Overall I think the breed is in a pretty good shape, although front movement needs to be watched as quite a few were a bit on the loose side.

VD (2)

1 Boast’s Denzilly Tickle Me Elmo. Almost 8 years lovely outline, very nice coat carrying good colour, looked very good on the move.

2 Gleeson’s Oglysaanes Durango Dust. Still showing well at 9 years, has a nice coat, moved very well, not quite as well balanced as first.

PD

1 Cole & Cooper’s Olicanarocks Rumbald. Stood alone, just a day short of his birthday, a nice size for his age, square outline, coat of good colour if somewhat dense but still maturing, moved well albeit a little close behind.

JD

1 Kenneally’s Loofahsa Humdinger. Again standing alone, up for size, nice head and expression, nice coat in texture and colour, somewhat unsettled and could have moved better.

PGD (3)

Just the three in the class and all different on the day.

1 Holding’s Celtannia Atlantic Gigolo. Nice shape and size, well angled, good head neck and level topline, nice coat coming through, best mover in the class.

2 McNeillis Celtannia Atlantic Star. Litter mat to first, many similarities, not quite the neck and outline, unsettled on the day and not showing his best.

3 Wright’s Abbeymead Stelline.

LD (7)

1 Patterson’s Snowmeadow Sauls Symphony To Gavleash. This boy really impressed me, Very well constructed, good size, lovely outline, head, neck, shoulders and topline all in proportion, correct coat and a very accomplished mover. I pleased to award a well deserved CC and his title on the day.

2 Thoburn’s Northridge Me And Tennessee. Another contender who I can see winning another day, good head, eye, mouth all correct, coat of good colour, overall impressive and a good mover.

3 Wardle’s Denzilly He’s Got The Look.

OD (5, 1)

A strong class but all with different assets and different faults!

1 Blandford’s Janeyjimjams Joshua. A well balanced dog, stood out in the line-up, good for overall size and shape, and won with his movement Res CC.

2 Moles’ Celtannia Atlantic Gold. Another one that impressed across the ring, all in proportion, very nice on the move, not quite the coat of first.

3 Tilley’s Janeyjimjams Jubilee Star At Starzak ShCM.

VB (6)

What a fabulous class of ladies of a certain age, they all performed brilliantly, a great advert for the breed!

1 Ford’s Kanjuley Scarlet And Gold. 10 years old and giving the youngsters a run for their money. Lovely construction, very nice coat of good colour, mouth still in very good order, she moved a treat.

2 Williams’ Ch Brynhir Lil Rock. Even older at 11, very close decision between the first two, all good attributes, never put a foot wrong, a lovely lady.

3 Jeffries’ Frontline Simply Beautiful.

PB (4)

1 Howes’ Daisymaes Tumbling Dice. Hard to separate the first two, so much to commend in both, good shape, true to type, both moved very well, coats good for age, two really lo vely young ladies, first just edged it on behaviour.

2 Langham’s Janeyjimjams Jem Stone. As above.

3 Thoburn’s Northridge Galway Girl.

JB (4, 1)

1 Springford’s Keevasdream White Linen. So much to like about this one, so much potential, a real eyecatcher, size, shape, movement, it’s all there. She came back in the next class and got better, she came back in the challenge and got better still, so much personality and a very worthy Res CC.

2 Rogers’ Kizzahla Little White Lie. Still has some maturing to do but coming on nicely, very feminine, lovely coat and attractive on the move.

3 Connor’s Regal Red Miss Moneypenny.

PGB (11, 1)

1 Keevasdream White Linen. Repeat.

2 Atyeo’s Kanjuly Scarlet Rose. Lovely lady with a glorious coat. Good straight front, nice lay of shoulder and level topline, moved with purpose.

3 Macgregor’s Kirkontill What It’s Not.

LB (11, 2)

1 Lui’s Eblanahalls Honeytrap JW. Leading a very strong class a pity only 5 places and all could challenge on another day. This is a very attractive young lady, from the head down through the neck and shoulders and straight front, level topline and rear angles it’s all correct. Beautiful coat, could do with a bit more colour but will come as she matures.

2 Herbert’s Julibidd Maybe I’m Amazed. Close decision, good for type, lovely head and expression, coat of good colour and texture, moved well.

3 Escott’s Sidereal Tennessee Waltz.

OB (9)

A class full of quality and a real credit to the breed.

1 Clarke’s Ch Flaxelaweaver Of Dreams JW ShCM. Loved this one as a youngster and was looking forward to seeing the finished article, and she didn’t disappoint. A beautifully made specimen of the breed, she is a top winner and deservedly so. Her movement first time around wasn’t perfect but she moved through the gears and by the time we got to the challenge was in full flow. CC & BOB.

2 Howes’ Flaxela New Vision At Daisymaes. Litter sister to first and shares many of the same qualities and possibly the better movement, her coat wasn’t quite as good on the day but I can see this one winning a lot.

3 Lui’s Thistlebe Them There Eyes At Eblahalls.

GCB (2, 1)

1 Shrive’s Emalot Santa Maria. Lovely girl of nice shape and size, beautiful coat in gorgeous loose waves, moved well.
