SOFT COATED WHEATEN JUDGE LEEDS 14

Soft-coated Wheaten Terriers

PD (2,1a)

1 Johnsony’s Kinaelan Halsey, he has a good skull, neat ears & a lovely dark hazel eye with good pigmentation. Decent neck & shoulder, well ribbed for age with a very good topline & tail carriage. Could have a little more width of chest & still needs to firm up in hind action. His coat is a pleasing texture.

JD (1)

1 Satherley’s Sam Shamrock De Morrigan of Silkcroft, only a puppy & initially he was a little overawed but occasionally showed just what he could do with a little more experience & practice. Very pleasing to handle as he has a good head & lovely expression, good forehand, nicely arched neck & he is compact & well ribbed. Well padded feet with black nails. Lovely coat colour & texture.

PGD (1)

1 Mann’s Starcadia Olympic Goldnson, strong & masculine but in no way coarse, good head, dark hazel eye with good pigmentation & strong jaws. Good bone, legs & feet. Strong well muscled & nicely angulated hindquarters.

OD (4)

1 Johnson’s Sw/Ir Ch Seamrog Cactus Lime at Garsayno, a good headed dog, good eye & pigmentation, flat cheeks & a big black shiny nose. Very well put together with good bone, well ribbed & excellent topline & tailset. On the move he was true both coming & going with some reach & drive & in profile he has a really easy fluid action. Excellent coat texture & colour. BD;

2 Bradford’s Ch Abiqua Wild Casino Royale, a smart, very well presented dog with a lovely head & expression. Beautifully balanced as he is compact & well ribbed with a good topline & tailset. Moves & shows to good advantage. RBD;

3 Satherley & Smith’s Am Ch Haldane Double Down.

VD (0).

PB (3)

1 Satherley’s Silkcroft World Explorer, a lovely puppy with a decent head, strong jaw & good forehand. Good breadth & depth of chest, firm topline & good tailset. Well balanced & very good on the move with strong well muscled hindquarters which gave her good drive from the rear. BP;

2 Phillips & Gullick’s Jaeva Just Peachy, beautifully balanced with a most pleasing head & expression, well boned with good neck & shoulders, well ribbed with good tailset. Soft silky coat of good colour;

3 Johnson’s Garsaynogold Julia.

PGB (2)

1 Johnson’s Garsayno Gold Imp, a really good moving bitch, she scored here on maturity of body & rib. Pleasing head & expression. Strong well muscled hindquarters gave her a good driving action. Silky, loosely waved coat of good colour;

2 Bradford’s Abiqua Wild Is All She Wrote, super head & expression with a dark hazel eye & good pigmentation, well balanced & compact with a good topline & tailset. Very good profile action.

OB (5,1)

1 Satherley’s Ch Silkcroft Colour Of Magic, a really good quality bitch who is I see out of the same dam as the BP. Good skull, neat ears & lovely eye & pigmentation. Well ribbed with strong short loin & good topline & tailset. Good bone & well padded feet with black nails. Sound & accurate on the move with a fluid easy action. Excellent coat texture & colour. BB & BOB, I was pleased to see her shortlisted in the good terrier group;

2 Tilley’s Starzak Solid Gold Ez Action, pushed the winner hard as she too is a bitch of some quality & style. Good head & expression, good forehand with some breadth & depth of chest, well sprung rib & good topline. Her coat is a good colour & texture. Moved soundly. RBB;

3 Bradford & Hobson’s Abiqua Wild Wrapped In Ivy.
