A very sporting group of exhibitors, enjoying being back at a show. Many thanks to my stewards Adrian Marett and Nicola Keeling. PGD (1) 1 Charleton House Of Softy Indus (Imp Swe). 19 months, a good way to start the day with this dog of lovely type, correct proportions. Good ribcage and short loin. Excellent rear angulation, masculine head, strong without coarseness. Can tighten a little in front. Coat of excellent texture and colour. He pushed hard for a big green card and I am sure he will be getting them before long. LD (3) 1 Grimes-Watson & Watson’s Janeyjimjams Jem Devlin. Very typy 2 years old of excellent proportions and well angulated at both ends giving him good stride and drive. Quality head but his ears are a little large. Scored in ribcage and front here. Coat of soft texture but needs a little more of it. One of the most accurate movers of the day. Should go on to do well. 2 Clarke’s Flaxela Perfect Storm. 14 months, impressive outline with promise of a lovely coat. Good head and eye. Black nose, lip pigment can be darker. Good proportions. Carried himself well. Needs time to drop into chest. Full of promise but he is still a teenager. 3 Taylor’s Eblanahalls Teckle Ish At Raisingsands. OD (9, 1) Good class for depth of quality. Top two of different type but both very good dogs. 1 Dalton, Moles & Williams’ Ch Celtannia Atlantic Gold. Top sized dog 3 years, correct for balance and with good ribs chest and lovely coat. Beautiful head and eye which put him over the second. Good rear. Carries too much leg hair which is over presented. Close call just a preference for his head here. DCC. 2 Patterson’s Snowmeadow Sauls Symphony To Gavleash. More the type I prefer, and he appealed instantly. 4 years old, lovely proportions and coat and he moves well. I just preferred head of the winner, but his moderation and balance and natural presentation appealed. RDCC. 3 Withington’s Fantasa Blonde Rufus. BP. 2 Hanna’s Kinaelan Every Confidence. 6 months, real Irish type and with slightly better tail set than the winner but not as finished in chest. Has lovely proportions and a lovely head and expression. Excellent stride. She will end up a super bitch and perhaps I was hard on her on the day. JB (3) 1 Bott’s Whitevale Calamity Jane. 16 months, mature for her age with good ribs, coat and forehand. Good length of head and strong pigment. Carrying too much weight on the day showing in her front action. Better tail set and carriage than the winner but her coat was a little woolley. OB (8, 1) Best class of the day for depth of quality. The top five all of high quality and excellent type. 1 Hughlock’s Janeyjimjams Jolene At Keevasdream. 7 years old, took the eye immediately for balance and looked wonderful striding round the ring.
