SOFT COATED WHEATEN PAIGNTON 13 Judge: Mrs Nan Chadwick BEST OF BREED : 1624 BRADFORD Mr & Mrs S Abiqua Wild Casinoroyale SOFT COATED WHEATEN JUDGE PAIGNTON 13 Soft-coated Wheaten Terriers I thoroughly enjoyed my day giving CCs for the first time to one of my favourite terriers. PD (3) 1 Mapson’s Abiqua Wild Jack Of Hearts, what a fantastic puppy, beautifully presented, mature young man, he did not disappoint on the move, striding out with purpose keeping a lovely topline, lovely head with good pigment & bite, good length of neck into well laid back shoulders, good bend of stifle, coat of super rich colour. BP; 2 Satherley & Gibbons’ Silkcroft No More Games, little bit dark in coat but overall a nice balanced puppy, moving out well front & back, nice head, good pigment, lovely bone. JD (4) 1 Bradford’s Abiqua Wild Casinoroyale, my notes read ‘a perfect wheaten’, very balanced dog, moves with drive & purpose, great head & correct bite, terrific bone, the whole picture amounting to a very pleasing picture. CC & BOB; 2 Thackray’s Abiqua Wild On An Ace Trip, litter brother to 1, most of the comments apply here too but so collected on the move but nonetheless two terrific examples of the breed. RCC; 3 Thoburn’s Northridge Gotan Go. PGD (2) 1 Mapson’s Zaraslake Sirocco, beautifully presented, a little long in back, nice head, correct bite, big black nose, moved out OK; 2 House’s Glendowan Tarquol, Irish type, nicely constructed, good mouth & black nose, kept level topline, moving OK. LD (1) 1 Williams’ Snowmeadow Peregrine Piper, OK type & shape, nicely presented. OD (5) 1 Carter’s Ch Chloeanco Hunni Dream, compact dog, well presented in beautiful coat, nicely balanced overall, perfect bite, moved out well; 2 Dunhill’s Ch Fantasa Blonde Kaos, preferred coat of 1, another balanced dog, moved OK; 3 Walklin’s Ch Kellnack Zoom Zoom. PB (6) 1 Moran’s Abiqua Wild She’s By Design, very feminine puppy, still a way to go but I am sure will make it, nicely presented, everything in the right place, lovely head & good pigment, moving well; 2 Hobson’s Abiqua Wild Wrapped In Ivy, litter brother to BP, another similar type to 1, well balanced, moving well front & rear. Both ought to have good futures; 3 Ford’s Kanjuley Scarlet O’Hara. JB (2) 1 Phillips & Gullick’s Jaeva Orange Blossom, a bit fidgety, maybe due to the heat & noise. Balanced bitch, nice head & good pigment, good reach of neck, moved OK keeping level topline. Coat a little light in colour; 2 Grant’s Dannebriel Cirque Surreal, similar type to 1 but coat a little ‘woolly’, moved out OK. PGB (5) 1 Dowdy’s Denzilly Sweet Rebel, lovely feminine bitch, compact & foursquare, nice head & ears, lovely coat texture & colour, moved out nicely. CC; 2 Howe’s Stevelyn Darling Pretty of Sunnidayze, similar type to 1 but coat still clearing, pleasing head, correct bite, moved OK; 3 Jefferies’ Frontline Simply Beautiful. LB (4) 1 Tanner’s Kariskiye Born To Bewitch, balanced bitch, pleasing head, good pigment, correct bite, nice length of neck, kept level topline on the move; 2 O’Sullivan & Harding’s Ckekhina Streaming Soraka, similar type, very alert, good head & expression, correct bite, good pigment, good bone, moved OK; 3 Charleton’s Janeyjimjams Jemima. OB (10) 1 Moran’s Abiqua Wild In A Satin Sash, lovely mature bitch, beautiful coat well presented, pleasing head, correct bite, good pigment & bone, nice length of neck, moved out well; 2 Dowdy’s Ch Denzilly Toot Sweet, similar type to 1, not much between them, similar comments apply; 3 Withington’s Ch Fantasa Blonde Lilley.
