SOFT COATED WHEATEN JUDGE SKC MAY 21

A small but quality entry and looking at my results it seems it was very much a family affair in some classes. My BOB was a standout winner and the other exhibits were of a very high quality as well. It was a shame the weather was so bad as particularly in the younger dog classes the wind, rain and cold made the handlers work hard with very naughty puppies.

PD (3)

1 Redfearn’s Eblanahalls Big Bahookie. At seven and a half mths old, this young man headed a nice trio of delinquents, he settled enough to give a good account of himself both standing and on the move. Liked his size and overall balance, excellent coat and colour, firm in body and well angulated quarters.

2 Marsh & Banbury’s Eblanahalls Yippee Ki Yay Of Somersisle. Litter brother I see to my winner but a slightly different type being taller and coat, although of good texture, needs time to clear. He presented well when settled with a pleasing head, good body and pleasing outline.

3 Bellingham’s Calvenace House Of Fun. Such a lovely puppy but he was not going to behave today.

JD (2)

1 McIntyre’s Thistlebe Master Of The Malt. At 17 mths old he was of good size and construction, his head was balanced with good furnishings, excellent front and firm topline. Another youngster that was not quite as happy on the move with the wind and rain affecting him, but on the stand he made an excellent picture.

2 Marsh & Banbury’s Eblanahalls Yippee Ki Yah Of Somersisle.

LD (1)

1 Taylor & Taylor’s Eblanahalls Silkbeard At Raisingsands. Really liked this 4 yr old and he never put a foot wrong, strong head with excellent furnishings, straight front, well placed shoulders, firm topline and well set on tail. His coat was of good length and excellent texture and he moved out soundly. RCC.

OD (3)

1 Withington’s Ch Fantasa Blonde Rufus. A dog you can’t ignore, he stands four square and has ring presence in spades. His outline is classic with an excellent coat for colour and texture, strong head, dark eyes with good pigment, muscular neck, firm body and well muscled quarters which he used to advantage on the move. DCC & BOB.

2 Lui’s Eblanahalls Aye Right. Mature male who made a good picture standing and came into his own on the move. Would have preferred slightly more furnishings on head to balance it out but his overall construction was pleasing.

3 Patterson’s Ch Snowmeadow Sauls Symphony To Gavleash.

VD (1)

1 McIntyre’s Thistlebe Mr Bojangles. In superb condition for nine and a half yrs old, strong head and sound construction, well muscled quarters and his coat has a lovely colour and texture, he moved out so well.

SBD (1)

1 Marsh & Marsh’s Eblanahalls Yippee Ki Yah Of Somersisle.

PB (4, 1)

1 Lui’s Eblanahalls Gold Limerence. My BPIB and what a little cracker she is at just seven and a half mths old, showed and handled to advantage. Very feminine with a lovely expression, excellent front, firm body and good angulation, her coat is of good texture and colour. So confident for her age, she moved out soundly. A close contender for the RCC, just beaten I now see by her mother.

2 Dunhill-Hall’s Fantasa Blonde Wonder Woman. Another stylish puppy of 8 mths, slightly different in type, her overall balance and excellent coat, which is such a rich colour, makes her stand out. Pleasing head with excellent front and rear angulation and was well muscled for her age, which shows on the move as she has plenty of reach and drive.

3 Grant’s Eblanahalls How Good Is Now.

JB (1)

1 Eblanahalls How Good Is Now. Third in the previous class and litter sister to my winner I see, she is a very tidy youngster who emulates a lot of her sibling’s characteristics just didn’t get her act together on the move today.

NB (1)

1 Coupar’s Kirktonhill Snow Crystal. A delightful puppy of 9 mths old, so feminine with a lovely attitude, she has a beautiful coat and well constructed throughout, firm body and moved extremely well.

PGB (2)

1 Taylor & Taylor’s Silverluka Superstition At Raisingsands. I see she is the daughter to my RDCC & grand-daughter to my BV and at only 20 mths old she took my eye immediately. So confident and has a super attitude, her head is classic with excellent pigmentation, straight front, clean shoulders, compact body and muscular quarters all finished off with a lovely coat of good colour and texture and settled into a steady movement with excellent reach and drive. I was pleased to award her the BCC, her first, and was not surprised a few days later at Border Union to hear she had taken her second.

2 Delaney’s Millyjoy A Drop Of Golden Sun. Another lovely bitch who showed and handled well, looked good standing but not as true on the move today as my winner. She makes a lovely shape and has an excellent coat, body and well set tail, good side gait.

OB (2)

1 Lui’s Eblanahalls Honeytrap JW. Mother to my BP and the family resemblance is now obvious, this 4 yr old has passed on many of her attributes to her offspring. I particularly liked her size and overall balance, feminine head, lovely outline and sound movement. Coat a bit short but had the colour and texture. RCC.

2 Francis’ Ch Sawheaten Kiss From A Rose. More substantial bitch but well proportioned good head, topline and tailset, excellent coat. Moved well when settled.

VB (1)

1 Lui’s Thistlebe Them There Eyes At Eblanahalls. At eight and a half, she is a full sister to my veteran dog and like him, she belays her years, put down in excellent coat and condition, firm body, good angulation and so sound on the move. BV.

GCB (1) 1 Delaney’s Braelochyen Ice Quartz With Millyjoy. A good size bitch who made a lovely shape standing, she has good angulation and was well presented, a little loose in front but looked well in profile.
