SOFT COATED WHEATEN THREE COUNTIES 14 Judge: Miss J S Moyes BEST OF BREED : 4866 BRADFORD Mr & Mrs S & B Ch Abiqua Wild Casino Royale SOFT COATED WHEATEN JUDGE THREE COUNTIES 14 Soft-coated Wheaten Terriers PD (3,1a) 1 Carter’s Zaraslake Indiana Twist from Choleanco, pup with a good coat of lovely texture & colour, good head shape, lovely neck & shoulders, short back, well ribbed up. Movement in profile very good, but hocks a little close when going away; 2 Satherley’s Sam Shamrock De Morrigan of Silkcroft, broader in skull than 1, attractive eye, neat ears & good bite. Not the quality of neck & shoulder as 1, needs to body up. Moved very well. JD (1) 1 Mapson’s Abiqua Wild Jack Of Hearts, a pale coloured dog of correct size, short back, lovely rear standing over plenty of ground. Balanced head of good proportions, ears could be smaller. Moved with style. PGD (0). LD (6) 1 Thoburn’s Northridge Gotan Go, my notes say nothing exaggerated, & that’s a good thing! Love him for size, loose curls & colour of his coat & his movement won him the class. Good head & length of neck, level topline & deep chest. A good honest dog who deserved this win in a good class; 2 William’s Snowmeadow Peregrine Piper, looked the winner when he came in but threw it away on the move. Loved his head with his huge black nose, very smart coat of lovely texture; 3 Thakray’s Abiqua Wild On An Ace Trip. OD (7,1) 1 Bradford’s Ch Abiqua Wild Casino Royale, he came, I saw, he conquered! This dog took my breath away, so well presented & trained to give his best. Well balanced masculine head of good length, good bite, lovely front with the best of legs, short level back, good rear. Well muscled. Perfect for size, all male without being coarse. Moved so precisely. DCC & BOB; 2 Satherley & Smith’s Am Ch Haldane Double Down, another I like a lot! A fit dog that was so well muscled & so moved very well. He also has a great coat of good texture & colour & is a good size. Just did not have the presence of 1, but he surely will have his day. RCC; 3 Fallon’s Janeyjimjams Jenson. PB (5) 1 Phillips & Gullick’s Jaeva Just Peachy, an exciting pup topping a good class, she is just perfect for size, shape & balance. A good head with expressive eyes, & the blackest of muzzles, for that cute factor. One of the best on the move today. BP; 2 Satherley’s Silkcroft World Explorer, another promising pup, similar in shape & size to 1, wears a slightly better coat than 1 being of excellent soft shiny texture, but not quite so together, topline needing to firm up, I have no doubt she will mature into a stunner; 3 Maleary’s Wheaten Rebel’s Them There Eyes. JB (6) 1 Escott’s Sidereal’s Essence Of Time, lovely class to sort out, these two simply moved the best. A feminine headed bitch with lovely shape, short back, strong loin & good legs, kept her lovely outline on the move. Beautiful silky coat, well presented; 2 Hill’s Janeyjimjams Jive Queen, has the appearance of power, but compact & correct size. Lovely head, good neck leading cleanly into laid back shoulders, deep chest, good legs & feet. Pushed 1 all the way, could easily change places, just lack the sparkle of 1 on the move today; 3 Hobson’s Abiqua Wild Wrapped In Ivy. PGB (6) 1 Wardle’s Saffini One And Only, feminine head, small ears set well, good front, level topline, deep chest, compact. Lovely size & balance. Beautiful coat & colour. When she got her act together she moved very well; 2 Moran’s Abiqua Wild She’s By Design, not quite as mature as 1, needs to finish. I love her head, just right for shape, pale coat with colour showing through. I wouldn’t change a thing on her, just give her time; 3 Brooks’ Loofahsa Hip Hop. LB (7,1) 1 Wardle’s Saffini Yours Truly, a mixed bag in this class, she won on her balance & size. Good head with flat skull, small ears & dark eyes. Deep chest, short coupled, powerful legs with good angulation. Pretty coat falling in loose waves, not often found; 2 Munn’s Snowmeadow Peggy Phurrari, balanced head, lovely neck & shoulders, good strong back & rear legs. Moved softly with ease around the ring. I like her, just wish she was a shade smaller all through; 3 Barrett’s Saffini Truly Madly Deeply. OB (4) 1 Moran’s Abiqua Wild In A Satin Sash, loved her free moving style, she has everything, correct size, lovely head, super shoulders, strong compact body, level topline, well developed hind legs. Beautiful coat, of gorgeous colour, so well presented, & a great handler to boot. CC, her third I believe; 2 Satherley’s Ch Silkcroft Colour Of Magic, had to be picky to spilt these 2 bitches, 1 was more free in her movement today. She deserves her Ch status. Lovely head with expressive eyes, good balance to skull & muzzle. Good length of neck, neat shoulder layback, short back, good ribs & strong loin. Well presented at one with her handler. RCC; 3 Bristow’s Kellynack Viva La Passione for Avard. JULIE MOYES |
