SOFT COATED WHEATEN WELKS 15 Judge(s): MR DON MUNRO Soft-coated Wheaten Terriers To me compared to some other terrier breeds currently lacking uniformity, this breed appears in good shape with obvious breed type & quality. There were many with good heads, bodies & tailsets, & as can be seen from below I was very taken with several originating from the same kennel. MPD (1) 1 Ward’s Saffini For You To Love, good head & ears. Well placed shoulders with good body & tailset. Unfortunately did not really like being gone over but feel sure will overcome this in time. Moved well. PD (3) 1 Charleton’s Janey Jimjams Jonah, very pleasing puppy, good head, neck, shoulders. Nice short coupled body & good tailset. Went well when settled; 2 Catlow’s Flaxela Too Fast For Love at Just Jingo, good head but not so good as 1 in neck & shoulder. Good body, tailset OK. Went well; 3 Mort’s Regalred Russian Prince. JD (5) 1 Dunhill’s Fantasa Blonde Qiwi, good proportioned head, lovely neck & shoulder placement. Good body, ribs & tailset. Moved very well. Just needs more confidence; 2 Satherley’s Silkcroft Crests Of Waves, lovely head, again good neck & shoulder, good body & tailset. Moved well. Close up, two very nice dogs; 3 Bristow’s Denzilly Sweet Destiny for Avard. PGD (2) 1 Carter’s Zaraslake Indiana Twist from Chloeanco, good head, neck & shoulders with nice body, well sprung ribs & good tailset. Moved well both ways; 2 Howe’s Stevelyn Kings Call of Sunnidayze, not so good as winner in head & shoulders. Good body, topline & tailset. Went well. LD (3) 1 Mapson’s Abiqua Wild Jack Of Hearts, wow! Thought him a knockout dog. Has great head, neck & shoulders, excellent front, short coupled with level topline, firm well bodied & an excellent tailset. Went really well with good reach & drive. Shows great. Born showman. CC & BOB; 2 Williams’ Snowmeadow Peregrine Piper, nice head with strong jaw, nice neck & well constructed body. Tailset OK. Moved well; 3 Howe’s Daisymaes Enforcer. OD (8) 1 Thackray’s Abiqua Wild On an Acetrip, another striking dog with good well proportioned head, nicely arched neck, good shoulders into firm well balanced & compact body. Well bent stifles & good hocks. Very fluid on the move. RCC; 2 Satherley’s Int/Sw/It Ch Modny Style Loverboy at Seamrog, another good one with good head proportions, neck, width of chest, body, tailset & good reachy movement; 3 Mr I, Mrs L and Miss Z Carter's Ch Choleanco Hunni Dream. MPB (2) 1 Barrett’s Saffini Sugar And Spice, pretty baby with nice head, good neck. Nice body with good tail set on. Went confidently & very well; 2 Francis’ Daisymaes Fleurie with Sawheaten, pretty head. Neck OK. Good well developed body for age. Well set tail. Needs to settle on the move, but only a baby. PB (5) 1 Satherley’s Silkcroft One Step Closer, very attractive enchanting puppy with lots of potential. Good head, neck, shoulders with nice body & tailset. Moved & showed well. All there in a neat little package. BP; 2 Bott’s Whitevale Sweet Butterfly, nice head. Not so good as winner in neck, has good body with good width of chest. Moved well; 3 Gent & Lees’ Flaxela My Secret Love. JB (8) 1 Phillips & Gullick’s Jaeva Just Peachy, very fetching youngster with nice head, neck, shoulders, excellent topline & set on. Compact & short body, well placed hocks. Moved well with drive & reach but did not always put all in, otherwise very promising; 2 Dunhill’s Fantasia Blonde Queen Bee, another pretty bitch. Well proportioned head & good strong jaw. Nice neck, good strong body, nice set on. Went well; 3 Satherley’s Silkcroft Sky Full Of Stars. PGB (12) 1 Moran’s Abiqua Wild She’s By Design, eyecatching bitch with lovely head on a good neck with lovely shoulder placement into straight true front. Has good level topline; nicely ribbed short coupled body, well set tail. Went really well. RCC; 2 Hill’s Janey Jimjams Jive Queen, good in head, neck & shoulders.
