SOFT COATED WHEATEN WELKS 23 Judge: Mr Steve Howe A very enjoyable experience, I felt that presentation and type were very consistent across the breed and to a good level of quality. Good to see an overall improvement in mouths, most were really good, even in the older dogs. 1 Williams’ Flaxela Living Legend of Gwendonydd 7 years of age, stood alone. Good for size with a very nice outline, level topline, good head and neck, good dentition, moved out and back with style. 1 Harries’ Manawyddan Beautiful Noise Just 10 months Novice dog still learning, always difficult for a young dog being in the ring so early and rather unsettled, needs a bit more time to get ready for the ring, has potential and will be a nice dog once he matures. 1 Herbert’s Saffini Smooth Operator at Julibidd Shows promise, Lovely shape and size, correct coat of good colour, nice head, neck, mouth all in good order, moved ok but lacking drive, may have been the concrete floor which wasn’t favoured by quite a few! 1 Clarke’s Flaxella Illuminati (AI ) Just 20 months, liked him a lot, good size and shape, lovely coat and good colour coming. Well balanced head, good dark eye and pigment. Moved out and back with style, definitely one to look out for Res CC. 2 Hookway & Mason’s Denzilly Golden Compass Very close up to 1 in terms of shape, size and type, lovely head, neck and shoulder, beautiful coat, moved very well, carrying his tail a bit tight over the back. 3 Balchin’s Bridestones Red Cinnabar What a tough class, full of quality and every one a potential winner. 1 Satherley’s CH/Am CH Silkcroft Freeze Frame JW Jww18 Bel Jun Ch Fits the breed standard well, nice head neck, topline, it all flows into shape. Beautiful coat of correct colour and texture. Won on the day with superior movement. Thoroughly deserves all his titles CC and BOB 2 Clarke’s Flaxela Perfect Storm Very close contender liked him a lot all the right qualities, fabulous coat and super outline on the move. 3 atherley’s Silkcroft Shake It Off JW. 1 Satherley’s Ch. Silkcroft Sky Full Of Stars Sh CM, Ir Ch 9 years young and full of life, in lovely condition, beautiful coat, moved very well. Best Veteran. 2 Atyeo’s Kanjuley Scarlett O’hara 10 years and the most fantastic dentition, stiil showing really well, another lovely coat and stylish on the move. 1 Satherley, Satherley & Billingham’s Silkcroft Fortune and Glory Could well live up to her name, Gorgeous 10 month old, nice size, well constructed and correct coat coming, a little unsettled on the move at first, got there in the end, her tail has a mind of its own!
