SOFT COATED WHEATEN JUDGE WELSH KC 12

SOFT COATED WHEATEN TERRIER

PD (2)

1 Williams' Snowmeadow Peregrine Piper. Nice to go over and has plenty of bone, pleasing head and ear set, ok in front and body proportions, enough ribbing, sound legs and feet, good positive mover, coat too woolly, good colour coming.

2 Matti &Omitogun's Frontline Mr Feelgood. Lovely and short coupled and he keeps a good outline on the move, too much black in coat, shoulders set too far forward and he needs more body, excellent quarters and drive from rear.

JD (3)

1 Howes' Daisymaes Desmond Decker. Interesting class, winner too soft and woolly in coat as yet and it needs to fall in silkier waves, still has black in his face too, lovely head with slightly shorter muzzle, neat ears set nicely to the side, sound front, excellent topline, good quarters and an ideal mover all round.

2 House's Glendowan Tarquol. Good Irish type, but eyes a little too bold and ears set a wee bit high, good body and hard as nails, moving and to go over, well set tail, sound legs and feet, lovely silky textured coat.

3 Williams' Snowmeadow Peregrine Piper.

PGD(2, 1)

1 Atyeo's Kanjuley Cormac. Good Irish type so was hard and fit and a real pleasure to go over him, perfect topline, good legs and feet, deep enough and correctly ribbed back, pleasing head and eyes, ears set a trifle high maybe, super mover and coat coming well and good for texture of course.

LD(8)

1 and CC, Fallon's Janeyjimjams Jenson JW ShCM. Good size and proportions. Would prefer less black in face, good head otherwise and well pigmented, sound front, excellent topline and tail set, good rear and he moved well all round, fair coat.

2 Dunhill-Hall's Fantasa Blonde Neville. Coat coming on quite well, again a good type of head and ear set, front swings about coming towards, in good muscle and ok in rear, well set tail and nicely handled, moved well going away too!

3 Hanna's Kinaelan Finlandia Finnian.

OD(8, 1)

1 and Res CC, Walklin's Kellynack Zoom Zoom. The soundest dog in the class, would like less black in his head coat, good for size and head proportions, fair front, deep enough and ok in rear, not over angulated behind, pleasing coat, good legs and feet and well presented.

2 Hanna's Ch Kinaelan Quietly Does It. Tallish dog and rather upright in shoulders, lovely head and outlook and looked good going around, gorgeous coat and perfect texture, sound rear, nicely muscled and a well set and carried tail, excellent Irish type and quality.

3 Clarke's Loofahsa Scaramouche ShCM.

PB(9, 1)

1 and BP, Munn's Snowmeadow Peggy Phurrari. Smart and sound, coat very forward for age, pleasing head with muzzle slightly shorter, good bone for size. I thought her a wee bit short in ribbing and slightly long in loin, excellent rear and tail, well handled and presented, super temperament, as had all here today.

2 Hughlock's Chekhina Galway Girl. I did like her short back, true front, hard topline and well put together body all round, coat not quite the wavy Wheaten coat as yet, but signs it will come, also a very good moving puppy.

JB(6, 1)

1 Munn's Snowmeadow Peggy Phurrari.

2 Mortimore's Glenddowan Coraline. Good Irish type and lovely silky textured coat, nice to go over, fair mover up and down and keeping a hard topline in profile, pleasing head and ears, enough neck, good front and shoulders, a promising youngster.

3 Brooks' Loofahsa Hip Hop.

PGB (8, 1)

1 Connor's Fantasa Blonde Nell. A difficult class to judge. The overall balance I liked on the winner. I don't mind a bitch being a trifle long and she moved well all round. Pleasing head, lovely temperament as had the rest of the class! Sound behind and coat in good order and a pleasing shade.

2 Moles &Williams' Kinaelan Cachique. Slightly shorter back than winner but a really dark face, held her backline, lovely eyes and pigment, round lips and eyes, neat ears carried correctly, well made body and also was a pretty good mover, well handled.

3 Hammond &Evans' Calvenace Roogagh.

LB(16, 3)

1 Hanna's Kinaelan Finlandia Finnial. Lovely Irish type, soft silky coat falling in waves, liked her head and expression, ears a bit wayward, stands and moves wide in front, excellent body and superb quarters, good proportions of height to length, smart mover in profile.

2 Williams' Brynhir Rochelle Lil Rock. Very sound and true moving, just looses her topline a touch and she is a wee bit on the long side, beautiful coat and body condition, pleasing head and correct strength and length of muzzle, neat ears, smooth mover.

3 Walklin's Buckwheat Jadis O' Kellynack (Imp).

OB (12, 4)

1, CC and BOB, Withington's Ch Fantasa Blonde Lilley. A good class and some lovely bitches here. Winner scored on size, proportions of height to length, lovely waving soft coat, excellent topline and tail set, true and very precise on the move, a touch narrow in head maybe, ears set well enough neck and well ribbed back.

2 and Res CC, Howes' Daisymaes Arrabella. Very strong and fit, better head than above but too much black in face and behind the neck, also super to go over and she has so much drive and power, especially for a bitch, she would be ideal if she was a better colour and silkier in coat.

3 Dowdy &Dowdy's Ch Denzilly Toot Sweet ShCM.
