SOFT COATED WHEATEN LEEDS 10 Judge: Mrs Patsy Hollings SOFT COATED WHEATEN JUDGE LEEDS 10 Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier PD (2) 1 Sargent & Dunhill-Hall’s Fantasa Blonde Mulligan. 11 mths, masculine, clean chap. Very appealing head and eye. Flat skull, well set ear. Clean muscular neck into well laid shoulder, firm topline and well angulated quarters, straight view from behind. Silky coat. Just looking a little leggy at present. 2: Johnson’s Garsayno Gold Freeman. Very pleasing type and size. So sound and balanced, he is a baby and just was a little unsettled moving as the tanoy was going as he moved. He will have a good future. PGD (5,1) 1: Fletcher’s Keridown Shaken Not Stirred. Pale coloured, very sound and well put together which showed on the move. Correct head with flat skull, well set and used ear. Big nose. Well bodied. Soft silky coat. 2: Paterson’s Kellynack The Fantastic Fox. Excellent coat and colour. Little long in foreface. Pleasing outline and firm topline. Perhaps not the feet of first. Good for size. 3: Hobson’s Abiqua Wild Knight Romance. OD (4,1) 1: Dunhill’s Ch Fantasa Blonde Kaos. 3 yrs old. Masculine and first class presentation, but not so trimmed to spoil natural impression. Super head, eye and ear set. Strong clean nack into well laid shoulder-allowing reach on the move. Just right for rib, depth and body, short strong loin providing level topline. Has muscle and quality second thigh. His coat is glossy and correct in colour, soft and luxurious to the touch. He has drive and eye-catching side gait. BD and BOB pleased to see him short-listed. 2: Johnson’s Ch Fantasa Blonde Fagin Sh.CM. At 8 yrs, this dog is just not clean over shoulders as first but he cannot be overlooked as his quality is still evident. He is right for size, shape and construction. Has strength in foreface and big white teeth. Goes with purpose. Well deserving, res BD. 3: Clarke’s Loofahsa Scaramouche. PB (2) 1: Bennett’s Fantasa Blonde Matilda I understood that both dog and handler were new to this game, what a good one to start with. She has all the essentials, appeals for size, is constructed to provide easy smooth action. Balanced and typical throughout, of correct size. Stands on well boned straight legs and well padded feet. Attractive colour and coat. BP. 2nd: Axon’s Noxa Miss Demeanour. 11 mths. Up for playing today, no bad thing for a baby. Tidy size and quality coat. Not the strength in under jaw or the legs and feet of first at present and just preferred the tail set of first. JB (3,1) 1: Bennett’s Fantasa Blonde Matilda. Repeat. 2nd: Withington’s Fantasa Blonde Lilley. 17 mth. Satisfying to go over and quietly and confidently handled. She is a quality bitch who fulfils her purpose easily. Coat a little woolly at present but obviously due to change from puppy. PGB (3,1 ) 1: Glew’s Calvenace Hazy Days At Braelochyen. Pleasing head and expression with strength in muzzle. Well fitting neck and correct forehand. Quality bone and pads. Goes nicely. Coat needs to come on in texture. 2: Salisbury & Kehoe’s Orliscwt Lillee The Pink. Little plain in head and not the balance or strength behind of first. Silky, wavy coat. Would like a little more impulsion on the move. OB (2) 1: Axon’s Keridown Breakthrough For Noxa. Mature and well bodied. Right for size. Correct skull ear set and use. Strong jaw and correct stop. Flowing topline, short coupled with strong loin. Good bum and muscle with correct set on of tail. Low hock allowing drive from behind. Coat wavy and silky. On top of her game and moved with easy action. BB. 2: Paterson’s Kellynack Viva La Luna. Decent proportions and balance. Well constructed giving freedom of movement. Correct coat and right for size and couplings. Would like a little more width of quarters and a bit more behind tail. Her quality and style took her to Res BB. Mrs Patsy Hollings |
