Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers

Another smashing entry and my great pleasure to judge.
As an overview; I think this is the 4th time I ve judged the breed and I was pleased to note that presently there is more overall depth in quality.
There is still work to be done on hind movement but breeders & exhibitors are to be applauded for the strides of improvement in the last 10 years or so.

Minor Puppy Dog Entry 3 Abs 0

1st: : FALLON'S JANEY JIMJAMS JENSON .Smart, well made in excellent coat & condition, well headed with good ears, quality forehand, well ribbed & muscled with good angulation, moved & showed well.

2nd: : MAPSON'S ZARASLAKE SIROCCO .Good head, bite & teeth, neat ear, straight front, a little shallow in body, would like more turn of stifle, sound.

3rd: : MORRIS' CANICULA DYLAN THOMAS

Puppy Dog Entry 4 Abs 0

1st: : ATYEO'S KANJULEY CORMAC .very nice irish type, raw but with much quality, excellent head with good ears, bite & teeth, quality front & forehand with clean transition, good top and well ribbed, in good form, moved & showed well.

2nd: : PASCOE'S MIDDLEBURY SHOOTING STAR .Close up, heavier coated with decent head, good front & body with good ribbing, good size, close in hind, well presented.

3rd: : WRIGHT'S KARISKIYE HORRID HENRY

1st: : O`HARE'S EMALOT MISTER HAPPY .Excellent quality all through with a lovely, outgoing attitude, well presented in excellent form, A1 movement & showmanship. Should have a future.

1st: : CARTER'S CHLOEANCO HUNNI DREAM .High quality and looks the part for type & balance both standing & moving. Finished off with excellent coat & condition, great muscling, smashing on the move. RDCC

2nd: : WALKLIN'S KELLYNACK ZOOM ZOOM .very nice sort with much quality, lovely skull/muzzle ratio, good ears, eye, bite & teeth, excellent forehand, well proportioned in good coat, a touch close in hind and could harden in thigh & gaskin which would help, sound & showy.

3rd: : JOHNSON'S GARSAYNO GOLD FREEMAN

1st: : COULBERT'S JANEY JIMJAMS JAZZBO .Very decent quality & type, a touch immature and coat could clear more to effect, moved & showed well enough.

2nd: : GLEW'S WENTLOOG MOZAMBIQUE AT BRAELOCHYEN .Irish type of good quality with a straight front, good ribbing, in lovely coat & condition, very sluggish.

3rd: : BRADFORD S&B H/F HOB'S ABIQUA WILD KNIGHT ROMANCE ShCM

1st: : EVANS-BARRY'S INT/IR CH HOBEL JOE O`BRIEN A1 for type & balance, lovely head properties, great shape which he holds on the move, cracking forehand & transition to good topline, well ribbed back, excellent presentation & handling, fluent movement aided by good angulation and excellent muscling, never stopped showing. DCC & BOB on his 6th birthday happy birthday & congratulations!

2nd: : TSWEI'S IR CH ELLORA FEEL THE FORCE .Smart looking irish type of much quality, sound & showy just moving a little close in hind.

3rd: : ROGERS' CH KIZZAHLA POMPEY ROYALE JW ShCM

1st: : WATKINS' ZARASLAKE SERAPHINA ..Very good quality baby and so full of life, pleasing head properties, lovely forehand, excellent neck and set on of head, level & proportioned with tidy middlepiece, well used quarters, well presented in good fettle, sound.

2nd: : NOBLE'S PIPPAJAM ALL THAT GLITTERS .Close up, lovely shape well put together with many qualities, just needs more confidence.

3rd: : ROBERTS' JANEY JIMJAMS JEWELS

1st: : ESCOTT'S SILKCROFT LIGHT FANSTSTIC .Top quality one that took the eye, typy & balanced, looked the part at all times both standing and moving, well presented in lovely coat, colour & condition, has all the essentials, excels in overall forehand, lovely topline & ribbing, quality quarters, full of presence she moved & showed to great effect, effortlessly covering the ground. 2nd: : TANNER'S KARISKIYE BORN TO BEWITCH .Nice sort with quality aspects, good front & forehand, well ribbed, good colour, very showy.

3rd: : O`SULLIVAN &HARDING 'S CHEKHINA STREAMING SARAYU

Loved the first two like peas in a pod. No wonder - they turned out to be litter sisters!

1st: : LAWRENCE'S EMALOT LITTLE MISS STAR....Top quality with all the essentials, typical & balanced, in great from and smashing coat, colour & muscle condition, moved & showed so well.

2nd: : WASSALL'S EMALOT LITTLE MISS MAGIC . These first two can change places so same comments apply: Same Top quality just a little erratic and needs to settle.

3rd: : GLENNON'S HOBEL KARACSONY AL0901164

Novice Bitch Entry 1 Abs 0

1st: : BROWN'S LOOFAHSA HONEYBEE AT CARKBARK . very good shape when stood with a good head & ears, good muzzle & bite, nicely put together through forehand, well ribbed up, erratic and loses her shape moving.

Graduate Bitch Entry 1 Abs 0

1st: : WITHEYMAN'S STEEFSGRACE DUTCH KISS BY DACSOL . Very smart with many qualities; good headpiece, clean shoulder, level with good rib, excellent quarters used to great effect, good coat & condition, moved & showed extremely well.

Post Graduate Bitch Entry 6 Abs 1

1st: : GLEW'S CALVENACE HAZY DAYS AT BRAELOCHYEN . Presented a lovely profile, quality headpiece with good ears, excellent through forehand, good ribbing & topline, well muscled up, put down in excellent order, moved & showed well.

2nd: : GRIFFITHS' MANAWYDDAN BRIGID . Very close up, a really good sort with balanced head properties, quality through front & fore, sound but sluggish.

3rd: : SALISBURY MRS.L.M. 'S ORLISCWT ESMERELDAISY

1st: : TILLEY'S STARZAK SOLID GOLD EZ ACTION JW .I think I am right in saying that I gave this one a first the last time I judged when she was very raw. She has developed & matured nicely and is making up into a contender in the not too distant future. A1 for quality, balance & type, lovely coat & colour well presented, well off for hardness of condition, very fluid mover.

2nd: : WATKINS' CHLOEANCO HUNNI CARESS FOR ZARASLAKE . Good one of much of balance & type with many attributes, good muscling, excellent coat & colour, moved & showed well.

3rd: : OMITOGUN & MATTI'S LOOFAHSA BOHEMIA IN FRONTLINE

Open Bitch Entry 8 Abs 1

1st: : ROSS' WHILIZIAS HEAD OR TAIL .Classy irish type, all quality with a cracking head well set on & typical expression, clean layback, straight front, filled in rib to finish since the last time I judged her, in excellent coat, colour & condition especially hardness of thigh & gaskin which was well used in movement, moved & showed well all the time. BCC

2nd: : WALKLIN'S KELLYNACK BLOSSOM HILL .Another one of great credit with quality in abundance, topped off with excellent coat & colour she strode out well.

3rd: : MORREY'S TOBAMORREY AIN'T I PRECIOUS
