Twice I have judged my breed, dogs in 2015 and bitches now. My thanks go to all the exhibitors from around the world, spectators too. In what has been a difficult time in dogdom. You all did the Breed proud with your support to the Breed clubs and the generals. My thanks go to my stewards on the day Jaci McLauchlan & Bob Potts. who worked there socks off to help to keep the ring running smoothly. As you all know we had virtual screens in the rings for the stewards to process placings so Fosse Data could have the results immediately. Well like all things new you always have teething problems. The screen kept going blank but Jaci was on the case to get it up & running. The evening before judging The kennel club asked all judges to attend a briefing. Too remind all judges to raise any concerns on Health & Welfare affecting breeds. Their main concerns were pinched nostrils & breathing problems. The form at the back of the judging book to be completed in the category 1 Breed only. Although optional we as judges are responsible for what we award the dogs that are brought for our assessment. My findings on the day was quality was excellent. The Breed Standard has been adhered too in 99%. Handling was first class especially in our younger exhibitors, Well done to them they are our future. I found four rather pinched nostrils but NO breathing problem, as 2 minutes a dog and not too hot in the building. I also found a few bitches in the later classes that were too fine in body & bone with tight fronts with too short on back NO spring of rib. We have to remember that our bitches are our future. How are these girls going to produce safely with lack of substance weak in bone & body with ultra short bodies. There were a couple of bitches that had over bunched shoulder muscles and hindquarters the likes of a male stafford. The bitch has to be of strength but still feminine. Too much muscle on the hindquarters restricted movement which was more of OTHER Bull breeds. It is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. I was really happy with my placings, some really nice bitches had to go without a placing as only 1st too V.H.C. All could change on a different day I am sure. Vet (18,2) 1 Gabel’s Hocus Pocus Of Spirit-Staff’s. A tiger brindle who holds her quality of her younger years. A beautiful head with correct ear & eye placement. Dark pigmentation clean in lips, short compact body. Still a level topline moved with drive. Expertly presented. 2 Saunt’s Ch. Crudha Nordic Star (Imp Swe). Such a beautiful bitch of superb quality. In the standard from head to tail. I loved her head with no excess wrinkle. Very good pigmentation oozes quality throughout. Enough in front with great bone structure tight feet Ample spring of rib, short coupled moved effortlessly. Well presented. 3 Int/ fr. Desmazes & Paronneau’s Ch. Waywardstaff High Scary Cookie. A trio of fabulous girls. Quality stamped over her. Stood four square. Correct shaped head with good ear carriage dark eyes nose & lips. Scissor bite. Enough length of neck going into clean shoulders elbows tucked in. She possessed ample rib, movement excellent. Expertly presented. MP (4,1) 1 Mayers - Maynestaff The Girl Is Mine. A b/b who oozed quality at this young age. I loved her head with perfect ear carriage the darkest of pigmentation. Very clean underjaw with perfect bite. Front so true with enough bone on legs. Short compact in body with level topli. Understandible no muscle tone as yet for one so young as should be. She moved beautifully. My Best Puppy Bitch congratulations. 2 Rowe & South’s Illori Constellation. Wow what a quality bitch. Different style to first in this class. I would take her home. She oozed breed type too, quality in abundance. This girl could not stand wrong. She stood 4 square, I loved her head which was defined and in the standard. I did prefer her length of stop, she was clean in foreface and tight lipped, good expression excellent bite with huge teeth. Her neck flowed into clean shoulders ample briskett and short coupled movement excellent very close decision. Congratulations. 3 Thompson’s Alport Dark Queen. Her name is apt.Beautiful dark pigmentation. she has a super feminine head, different style to 1st and 2nd, not to deny her quality.Short compact all through sound in front with not being to wide enough to like with level topline will watch her progress. P (11,2) 1 an Woensel’s Indianstaff U Can’t Touch This. A top sized brindle which had quality stamped all over her. I just loved her over all balance ,a head to die for with perfect ear & eye placement very good pigmentation correct fill in under the eyes which gave her the expression I was looking for. Strong in muzzle with clean tight lips no excess wrinkle about the face, huge teeth with correct bite. Her front was sound with ample spring of rib a little longer on back but was short coupled with hindquarters developing, correct pump handle tail and good bend of stifle moved with drive and expertly presented. Well done. 2 Rochelle’s Mournestaffs Dolly’s Brae. Smaller that 1st in this class but still bang in standard not overdone .Her head developing nicely with excellent pigmentation used her ears to advantage with round dark eyes a keen expression.Short in stop with a scissor bite clean around the face stood four square. She was a little nervous on the touch a huge experience to take in on this big day. She held her topline on the move carefully presented. 3 Wall’s Goldwyn She’s The One. A beautiful red who caught my eye. A typical female stafford head of strength and still has feminity correct expression very good pigmentation wide nostrils. I would of preferred a smaller ear but her overall balance secured 3rd place today. Compact in body deep in chest, she was a bit spooked today but the careful handling she moved with drive. Well presented. J (23,4) 1 Rutherford & Taylor -Niatona Miss Batty. This class was exceptional with a lot of top class bitches. An eye catching red with white markings correct female head with no wrinkle about the face correct ear carriage with dark round eyes short in stop with wide nostrils.Tight lipped with good bite her well muscled neck going into well laid back shoulders. In standard height and weight, she had ample rib, short coupled with correct tail set muscle just developing on hindquarters maybe now to step up the excercise. Moved with purpose and expertly presented. 2 Salnikow & Polaczek -Salnikow - Eternity Love Bitis. She is just beautiful, different style of bitch to 1 st. I could not deny her quality b/b who stood four square feminine throughout, a head that was not over done she has the best of pigmentation. Correct set on of ear placement with piercing round eyes which gave her the expression I was looking for. Short in stop with cheek bumps apparent perfect bite in clean tight lips. Her front was sound with good shoulder placement she had ample rib with a good tuck up in loins, movement sound. Expertly presented. 3 Ibsen - Keepastaff New Player Indy. Another quality female who demanded attention in standard height & weight. She had a feminine head with keen expression a round dark eye with a good fill in muzzle of strength with clean foreface. Perfect bite no looseness underjaw and neck short and enough muscle on well laid shoulders. Short on back with a tuck up in loins.I would have preferred a little more muscle definition on hindquarters to complete the picture moved with drive. 3 exceptional bitches. YB (11) 1 Karlsson Just Flawless Vd Betuws Glorie. A b/b who fit the standard like a glove. Balance throughout her head was of strength but not over done, this female needs hands on to feel her quality. Her ears were correct she used them to advantage eyes round with dark eye rims stop not to short with strength of muzzle. A good fill in under the eyes, nostrils large no breathing problems here. Fore quarters her legs were straight with no weakness in pasterns shoulders well laid back elbows tucked in.Close coupled female with well sprung ribs just enough muscle and well defined in the loins.Powerful hind quarters with hocks let down with correct tail carriage. She moved with drive and economy of effort. Well presented and she was my Bitch C.C. Today. Congratulations. 2 Parker’s Elitebull Mojito At Nettleworth. A outstanding bitch b/b who again fits the standard. She excells balance from head to tail, head and skull deep through and short in stop pronounced cheek muscle which gave her the desired expression. Very dark pigmentation, with tight lips, with perfect scissor bite, muscular in neck short and clean in outline. Straight legs with tight feet that turned out a little, no weakness in pasterns. Body short, compact with ample rib.She had good tuck up she was a handful for her handler today on the move her quality could not be denied for 2nd place today. 3 Desmazes & Paronneau - Waywardstaff Rise and Shine. Wow what a quality female fits the standard to perfection. Feminine throughout but still had strength, her head was of correct proportions with keen expression, very dark pigmentation for her coat color clean in lips with perfect bite.Her front was sound and not too tight good bone with no weakness in pasterns.A spring of rib with a level topline with a tuck up, a good let down of hock This gave her the descernable drive needed, she moved to perfection Well presented. A trio of fabulous females. UGB (19,4) 1 Corti- Assilio Star Turn. She stood four square compact in body, a quality female who fit the standard height & weight. Feminine features throughout correct ear carriage with keen expression a good fill in under the eyes pronounced, cheek muscles, no excess wrinkle around the face. Strong underjaw, short neck into clean shoulders. Enough length of leg, tight feet which were well padded. She had a spring of rib with a good tuck up correct tail set and movement free and agile. 2 Watson - Cludenstaff April Skies. In the standard not over done I did prefer her strength of head to winner but it is not all about the head. Her head was short deep through. Very pronounced cheek muscles very dark pigmentation with wide nostrils perfect bite in tight lips. Neck of enough strength into wide shoulders deep in chest with a tuck up in loins. Moved with drive. Well presented. 3 Marsden Auchdaran My Meggy Sue. A different style of bitch to 1st & 2nd. A b/b who had Feminine head longer in stop but she still had strength in muzzle no wrinkle about the face. Clean muscular neck into not overdone shoulder placement, she was up on her toes with no weakness in pasterns. She was a little longer in back but a good bend of stifle which enabled her to move with drive. Well presented. GB (9,1) 1 John’s Llanstaff Double Valentine. She oozed quality and was so compact not a overdone head piece which was short with great expression, short foreface black pigmentation. Ears set correctly round dark eyes A complete scissor bite in tight lips . Body clean in out line with ample rib. Level topline, short coupled feet tight and she moved with descernable drive. Expertly presented. 2 Oakley - Homafar Jomanda. I liked her compactness throughout clean in head with very good pigmentaion. Short forface, rose shaped ears which she used to advantage. Big teeth, in clean in lips, wide nostrils with clean under jaw. Neck rather short into well laid shoulders. Deep in chest with a level topline Muscle apparent on hindquarters, hocks well let down moved ok. 3 Bassford- Lane’s TNT. Edition Quaesitum at Jojalane. [imp. Svn]. Different style of bitch to 1st & 2nd. Enough to like she possessed the strength of head with broad skull pronounced cheek muscles. I would have preferred a tighter lip. She had the correct bite, neck muscular and short going into slight wider shoulders. A little longer in back, hindquarters well muscled with a good bend of stifle moved a little close on the hind quarters. Well handled. Post Grad. bitch. 10 entries 1 abs. 1st. Mrs Efreme - Labrastaf After Dark. A overall balanced female whose head & skull short and deep through a distinct stop with pronounced cheek muscles . Very dark pigmentation in eyes and nose, ears rose, which were well placed, That helped with the desired expression. Neck so clean with slight arch into very clean in shoulders which were not overdone, deep in chest with good spring of rib. She was short coupled, light in loins, hindquarters muscle definition apparent moved parrallel from behind. 2 Bissell - Elitebull Solitaire. A very sound female who caught my eye I loved her head shape which was not overdone. Keen expression with perfect ear carriage, round dark eyes, short in stop with a scissor bite. Neck clean and leading into muscular shoulders. A close coupled bitch with spring of rib light in loins with descernable driv. I would have preferred more muscle on hindquartes to complete. Well presented. 3 Yates. Ellchansha Happy Ever After. In standard with overall balance in good condition her head was feminine with slight broad skull good pigmentation in eyes, nose and dark nails. Her expression excelled with the good fill in under the eyes. Scissor bite with large teeth set square to the jaw. Short in neck with well laid shoulders, elbows tucked in with not too wide front, enough depth of bone, ample briskett, short on back moved ok. MidL (16,1) 1 Mcginily & Edgar Cludenstaff Janie Jones. B/b . with white Excellent quality who I loved, so full of breed type. A head that was broad with short stop clean in lips with huge teeth, which were a regular perfect scissor bite. No excess wrinkle. A short compact body in gleaming tight coat, a spring of rib with short coupling her hindquarters with enough muscle and stifle, well bent with hocks let down to aid her in her parallel movement Well presented. 2nd. Mrs. Riley - Joemikeste Let Her Rip for Hatson. B/b full of breed type different style to 1st. A bitch to be handled to feel her quality not the strongest of heads but so feminine, longer in stop with excellent pigmentation throughout round eyes that looked straight ahead she has clean tight lips with huge teeth with correct bite. Neck not too short with correct shoulder placement not over done.More length of leg than winner in this class, ample spring of rib, nicely tucked up in loins moved with drive Presented in good order. 3 Emery - Eclypstaff Strange Magic For Casails. Good overall sound bitch another one to be handled to feel quality in standard not over done. A clean in head with short stop, perfect cheek bumps which helped with a keen expression. Muscled short neck with good tight shoulders .front not tight with enough bone and straight legs, feet turned out a little well padded. Movement free and agile. Well handled. L (19.4) 1 Catri & Arntzen & McDermott Catstaff Say Goodbye. A b/b who oozed quality gleaming tight coat and up on her toes. She is in standard with a head and skull that was short with depth with pronounced cheek muscles very good dark pigmentation, a keen expression with no excess flesh around the face. Good bite, tight lips, underjaw had strength without losing feminity. Neck powerful into tight well laid back shoulders nicely tucked in elbows. Forequarters well boned, straight legs with enough width of front to complete the picture. A little longer on back but was short coupled level topline with just the correct amount of muscle on hindquarters. Hocks well let down and moved with drive . Expertly presented She was my R.C.C. 2 Howard - Matrixstaffs Black Beauty. What a beauty she was. I just loved her too, different style to winner in this class but easily could change places . Stronger in head with the correct ear carriage Darkest of eyes with black nose and wide nostrils, huge teeth and perfect scissor bite her powerful neck went to very good shoulder placement.Deep in chest, with spring of rib level topline which was held with her effortless movement, nicely tucked up in loins with well muscled hams. Beautiful tight feet and well padded Well presented. 3 Wells - Taraiel Ray of Light at Wellsstaffs. A trio of fabulous females. a b/b who fits the standard perfectly not over done in all departments her head was so clean with no excess of wrinkle. Stop short with good clean lips with perfect bite. Neck of strength without being to strong, her shoulder placement was good and ample rib with short compact body she carried a little weight on the loin area but could not be denied her quality and moved with drive . Expertly presented. O (27,4) 1 Gabel - RnB of Spirit - Staff’s. A quality bitch who fits the standard who was on her toes. A head that is not overdone, with good pigmentation according to coat color. Ears correctly placed which she used for advantage to give her the desired feminine expression wide nostrils with a correct scissor bite in tight lips. Neck not too short with sound front. I would have preferred a little more spring of rib to complete the picture. She held her level topline on the move with descernable drive. Well handled. 2 Jackson - Jackabyte Bocouture. J.W. A b/b of superb quality bang on standard she could not stand wrong this female. She stood four square, with a feminine head which was short and deep through, very dark pigmentation with the correct cheek muscles wide nostrils, correct bite huge teeth. Her neck was strong into well laid shoulders, ample briskett with short back, topline level which held on the move. She moved effortlessly. 3 Johnson - Ch. Ellchansha Once Upon A Time. J.W. A trio of fabulous bitches. A b/b who excells in quality in the standard and stood four square . Her punishing head was just so perfect with dark pigmentation, short in stop with great expression, wide nostrils she had a perfect bite into clean jaw no looseness of flesh . Forefront sound with straight well boned legs, feet tight with no weakness at pasterns.Enough briskett and level topline, she carried a little weight over her loins but she is so well balanced and moved to perfection. Expertly presented. Good Citizen Dog Scheme (5) 1 Murray & Fawkes Flintstaff Helena Sh CMUnplaced in veteran but what a stunner a brindle who is deserving of this title still in standard with feminine out lines.Her head was strong with short stop very good pigmentation according to coat color. Keen expression with perfect bite. Front sound with tight muscled shoulders, ample rib with a good tuck up she moves like a youngster and so fit to touch well done. 2 Badman- Skyestaff Dream Big. Different style to winner in this class. Enough to like about the head, longer in stop with correct eye placement looking straight ahead.Correct bite short compact in body with good bend of stifle. She moved freely to secure this second today. 3 Logan - Assilio Shooting Star . Smaller than 1st and 2nd. She too stood four square not overdone in head with a scissor bite. Fore quarters her legs were straight with no weakness in pasterns shoulders well laid back elbows tucked in.Close coupled female with well sprung ribs just enough muscle and well defined in the loins.Powerful hind quarters with hocks let down with correct tail carriage. 2 Parker’s Elitebull Mojito At Nettleworth. A outstanding bitch b/b who again fits the standard. She excells balance from head to tail, head and skull deep through and short in stop pronounced cheek muscle which gave her the desired expression. Very dark pigmentation, with tight lips, with perfect scissor bite, muscular in neck short and clean in outline. Straight legs with tight feet that turned out a little, no weakness in pasterns. Body short, compact with ample rib.She had good tuck up she was a handful for her handler today on the move her quality could not be denied for 2nd place today.

3 Desmazes & Paronneau - Waywardstaff Rise and Shine. Wow what a quality female fits the standard to perfection. Feminine throughout but still had strength, her head was of correct proportions with keen expression, very dark pigmentation for her coat color clean in lips with perfect bite.Her front was sound and not too tight good bone with no weakness in pasterns.A spring of rib with a level topline with a tuck up, a good let down of hock This gave her the descernable drive needed, she moved to perfection Well presented. 1 Corti- Assilio Star Turn. She stood four square compact in body, a quality female who fit the standard height & weight. Feminine features throughout correct ear carriage with keen expression a good fill in under the eyes pronounced, cheek muscles, no excess wrinkle around the face. Strong underjaw, short neck into clean shoulders. Enough length of leg, tight feet which were well padded. She had a spring of rib with a good tuck up correct tail set and movement free and agile.

2 Watson - Cludenstaff April Skies. In the standard not over done I did prefer her strength of head to winner but it is not all about the head. Her head was short deep through. Very pronounced cheek muscles very dark pigmentation with wide nostrils perfect bite in tight lips. Neck of enough strength into wide shoulders deep in chest with a tuck up in loins. Moved with drive. Well presented.

3 Marsden Auchdaran My Meggy Sue. A different style of bitch to 1st & 2nd. A b/b who had Feminine head longer in stop but she still had strength in muzzle no wrinkle about the face. Clean muscular neck into not overdone shoulder placement, she was up on her toes with no weakness in pasterns. She was a little longer in back but a good bend of stifle which enabled her to move with drive. Well presented.

1 John’s Llanstaff Double Valentine. She oozed quality and was so compact not a overdone head piece which was short with great expression, short foreface black pigmentation. Ears set correctly round dark eyes A complete scissor bite in tight lips . Body clean in out line with ample rib. Level topline, short coupled feet tight and she moved with descernable drive. Expertly presented.

2 Oakley - Homafar Jomanda. I liked her compactness throughout clean in head with very good pigmentaion. Short forface, rose shaped ears which she used to advantage. Big teeth, in clean in lips, wide nostrils with clean under jaw. Neck rather short into well laid shoulders. Deep in chest with a level topline Muscle apparent on hindquarters, hocks well let down moved ok.

3 Bassford- Lane’s TNT. Edition Quaesitum at Jojalane. [imp. Svn]. Different style of bitch to 1st & 2nd. Enough to like she possessed the strength of head with broad skull pronounced cheek muscles. I would have preferred a tighter lip. She had the correct bite, neck muscular and short going into slight wider shoulders. A little longer in back, hindquarters well muscled with a good bend of stifle moved a little close on the hind quarters. Well handled.

1st. Mrs Efreme - Labrastaf After Dark. A overall balanced female whose head & skull short and deep through a distinct stop with pronounced cheek muscles . Very dark pigmentation in eyes and nose, ears rose, which were well placed, That helped with the desired expression. Neck so clean with slight arch into very clean in shoulders which were not overdone, deep in chest with good spring of rib. She was short coupled, light in loins, hindquarters muscle definition apparent moved parrallel from behind.

2 Bissell - Elitebull Solitaire. A very sound female who caught my eye I loved her head shape which was not overdone. Keen expression with perfect ear carriage, round dark eyes, short in stop with a scissor bite. Neck clean and leading into muscular shoulders. A close coupled bitch with spring of rib light in loins with descernable driv. I would have preferred more muscle on hindquartes to complete. Well presented.

3 Yates. Ellchansha Happy Ever After. In standard with overall balance in good condition her head was feminine with slight broad skull good pigmentation in eyes, nose and dark nails. Her expression excelled with the good fill in under the eyes. Scissor bite with large teeth set square to the jaw. Short in neck with well laid shoulders, elbows tucked in with not too wide front, enough depth of bone, ample briskett, short on back moved ok.

A head that was broad with short stop clean in lips with huge teeth, which were a regular perfect scissor bite. No excess wrinkle. 3 Emery - Eclypstaff Strange Magic For Casails. Good overall sound bitch another one to be handled to feel quality in standard not over done. A clean in head with short stop, perfect cheek bumps which helped with a keen expression. Muscled short neck with good tight shoulders .front not tight with enough bone and straight legs, feet turned out a little well padded. Movement free and agile. Well handled.

She is in standard with a head and skull that was short with depth with pronounced cheek muscles very good dark pigmentation, a keen expression with no excess flesh around the face. Good bite, tight lips, underjaw had strength without losing feminity. Neck powerful into tight well laid back shoulders nicely tucked in elbows. Forequarters well boned, straight legs with enough width of front to complete the picture. A little longer on back but was short coupled level topline with just the correct amount of muscle on hindquarters. Hocks well let down and moved with drive . Expertly presented She was my R.C.C.

2 Howard - Matrixstaffs Black Beauty. What a beauty she was. I just loved her too, different style to winner in this class but easily could change places . Stronger in head with the correct ear carriage Darkest of eyes with black nose and wide nostrils, huge teeth and perfect scissor bite her powerful neck went to very good shoulder placement.Deep in chest, with spring of rib level topline which was held with her effortless movement, nicely tucked up in loins with well muscled hams. Beautiful tight feet and well padded Well presented.

3 Wells - Taraiel Ray of Light at Wellsstaffs. A trio of fabulous females. a b/b who fits the standard perfectly not over done in all departments her head was so clean with no excess of wrinkle. Stop short with good clean lips with perfect bite. Neck of strength without being to strong, her shoulder placement was good and ample rib with short compact body she carried a little weight on the loin area but could not be denied her quality and moved with drive . Expertly presented.

Ears correctly placed which she used for advantage to give her the desired feminine expression wide nostrils with a correct scissor bite in tight lips. Neck not too short with sound front. I would have preferred a little more spring of rib to complete the picture. She held her level topline on the move with descernable drive. Well handled.

2 Jackson - Jackabyte Bocouture. J.W. A b/b of superb quality bang on standard she could not stand wrong this female. She stood four square, with a feminine head which was short and deep through, very dark pigmentation with the correct cheek muscles wide nostrils, correct bite huge teeth. Her neck was strong into well laid shoulders, ample briskett with short back, topline level which held on the move. She moved effortlessly.

3 Johnson - Ch. Ellchansha Once Upon A Time. J.W. A trio of fabulous bitches. A b/b who excells in quality in the standard and stood four square . Her punishing head was just so perfect with dark pigmentation, short in stop with great expression, wide nostrils she had a perfect bite into clean jaw no looseness of flesh . Forefront sound with straight well boned legs, feet tight with no weakness at pasterns.Enough briskett and level topline, she carried a little weight over her loins but she is so well balanced and moved to perfection. 1 Murray & Fawkes Flintstaff Helena Sh CMUnplaced in veteran but what a stunner a brindle who is deserving of this title still in standard with feminine out lines.Her head was strong with short stop very good pigmentation according to coat color. Keen expression with perfect bite. Front sound with tight muscled shoulders, ample rib with a good tuck up she moves like a youngster and so fit to touch well done.

2 Badman- Skyestaff Dream Big. Different style to winner in this class. Enough to like about the head, longer in stop with correct eye placement looking straight ahead.Correct bite short compact in body with good bend of stifle. She moved freely to secure this second today.

3 Logan - Assilio Shooting Star . Smaller than 1st and 2nd. She too stood four square not overdone in head with a scissor bite. Front sound with spring of rib, level topline she moved with drive Well presented.
