STAFFORDSHIRE BULL DARLINGTON 24 Judge: Mr F Gough STAFFORDSHIRE BULL JUDGE DARLINGTON 24 My thanks to Darlington Dog Show Society for their invitation to judge. Many thanks to my Stewards who did a superb job all day.I was pleased with the quality of Staffordshire Bull Terriers on view today, it also meant that some very good exhibits went cardless on the day. My thanks to everyone who entered, I saw no health issues on the day and was pleased with my final line ups. VD (2) 1 Jordan’s, Ch. Dazmarnic Know What I Mean. JW Sh.cm. A red dog of quality, standard sized, well proportioned head, good front, close coupled, good bend of stifle, parallel movement. BV. 2 Rowe & South’s, Illori Akinlana. JW Sh.cm Vv .Another classy veteran, a bl/br with a good head, stop & dark eyes. Shown in good condition, tight fitting coat and moved with drive, well handled. MPD (3) 1 Duffields, Sharmara Lacrnum Iinflamari. Eye catching red puppy, strong headed, good stop & cheek bumps, good bite, close coupled, good bone and tight feet. He made his handler work hard on the move, good times ahead. (BEST PUPPY) 2 Funnells, Powerpack Jack In The Box. Another promising youngster bl/br not as mature as one at the moment but hopefully time will tell. Plenty of good points, tidy ears, dark eyes, level topline, good legs, moved OK. 3 Wilson’s, Northstaff Creed. PD (6) 1 Owen’s, Tagstane Tornado. A well boned bl/br puppy with a good head, stop and dark eyes, giving a pleasing expression. Good spring of rib, neck and topline, Moved OK. 2 Finkel’s, Magicgem Unconquered Soul At Gamecelt. Standard sized red dog, liked his expression, good bite, neat ears, tight lipped, kept a level topline on the move, time will tell. 3 Moult’s, Kamaristaffs Royal Legend . JD (9) 1 Moorcroft’s, Ellchansha Charm The Devil At Moorstar. This young bl/br dog has a bright future, looked good from all angles, head, ears, dark eyes, stop, bite and lips were good, close coupled, sturdy front, well ribbed and up on his toes, moved with drive. Res CC. 2 Thornley & Fearnley’s, Crewestaff Half Blud Prince. Another classy bl/br youngster. Standard size, typical head with good stop, dark round eyes, good lay back at shoulder, short coupled and moved well. 3 Davies’, Hasburystaff Top Gun. GD (7,1) 1 Walton’s, Kirstaff God Of Thunder JW. Standard sized red dog shown in hard condition, well balanced head and body, showing plenty of muscle. I liked his typical expression and movement. 2 Green’s, Sikaistaff Black Barrel at Cocostaff JW. Another dog of correct size, this bl/br had a pleasing head and body to match, kept a level topline and looked good on the move. 3 Bennett’s, Powerpack Singularity. PGD (5,1) 1 Thomas’s, Biggleswick Mr Tom (Ai) (AZ1). This red dog is classy, bang on standard for height and weight, typical head and expression, good bite, well sprung ribcage, close coupled, good muscle tone and correct tail carriage standing and on the move, well handled. 2 Johnson’s, Tillcarr Fire Soldier JW. This bl/br was another that fitted the standard well. A pleasure to go over this dog because just like the dog that came first in this class his fitness was a credit to his owners. Good head, cheek bumps and ears. Good front and rear, pushed one hard, should do well. 3 Lowe & Kaur Hayre’s, Big Man On Mac Dui Shawrigg JW. LD (10,1) 1 Hart & Halifax’s, Jackstaff Made A Boy For Albermarbull. Top size White/br dog of real quality. Cracking head with good stop, neat ears and powerful bite. Well balanced, good front, bone and tight feet. Moved with drive coming and going showing a level topline, A lot to like about this boy. 2 Taylor’s, Waystaff Strikes First AZ1. Another classy dog, red/white. Well chiselled head, good stop and muzzle.Good dark eyes, good lay back of shoulder, close coupled, good tail carriage and moved well. 3 Sutcliffe & Crossman’s, Pendlestaff Spitfire. OD (12, 2) 1 Sheldon’s, Ch.Kamaristaffs Royal Ransom At Bowtman JW. Outstanding bl/br dog that fits the standard like a glove. A well proportioned head with correct bite, stop, underjaw and muzzle. Neat ears, excellent front, good shoulders, good bend of stifle, close coupled, good spring of rib, shown in good condition, excellent movement, star of the day. CC & BOB. 2 Stanway’s, Waystaff Strikes Mayhem Ai. A red & white dog of correct proportions, a quality dog, has all the essentials, liked his expression, good shoulder placement and sound back end, moved with drive, a well bred dog. 3 Reynold’s, Ch. Niatona Wreck It Ralph. MPB (9) 1 Harkin’s, Kamaristaff Royal Duchess. An eye catching bl/br young lady with lots of potential. Good size, good bite and good expression, up on her toes and made her handler work hard but moved well, one to watch. 2 Watson’s, Sparkstaff Silent Mary. A tidy white youngster up to size, Neat head with good dark round eyes, tight lipped, level topline, good bend of stifle, moved OK. 3 Addison’s, Hammystaff Shape Of You At Guyad. PB (14,2) 1 Taylor & Coombes, Fredbur Go Go Yubari at Niatona. A lively young bl/br of correct size. Neat head with dark eyes, tight lipped, good level topline, good bend of stifle and good tail carriage. Moved OK. 2 Heron’s, Dilirystaff Fangtastic. A strong young bl/br bitch, good head, stop and underjaw, well boned legs, tight feet, good layback of shoulder, moved with drive. 3 Owen’s, Tagstane Forever Fuchsia. JB (9) 1 Mason’s, Magellason Tipsy Tilly. A well balanced bl/br youngster who caught my eye, has a typical head, good front, neck and spring of rib. Good shoulders and stifles, looked good on the move. 2 Winrow & Greaves, Jayneze Miss Attitude. A fit bl/br bitch with a clean outline, good size,tidy head, neat ears, good construction and coupling, looked good on the move. 3 Seymour’s, Dekayro The Ice Queen. GB (13) 1 Watson’s, Cludenstaff April Skies. bl/white of standard size with a neat head, tight lipped with a good muzzle and underjaw. Ears were neat, strong neck and muscular body, looked good on the move. 2 Gallagher’s, Alshancorn Says Who JW. A well balanced bl/br with a good expression, good head, eyes and ears. Well balanced and moved with drive. 3 Bennett’s, Scipelei Against All Odds. PGB (10,1) 1 Magellason Tipsy Tilly, (1st in Junior Bitch) 2 Maskell’s, Dekayro She’s Like The Wind. A well balanced bl/br, standard sized, good head with good cheek bumps, stop and underjaw. Well sprung ribs, good feet and short nails. Looked good on the move. 3 Boulton & Hayton’s, Dusklight Del La Soul. LB (11) 1 Coble’s, Indianstaff Up Where We Belong At Surestaff (Imp Bel). A bl/br bitch of quality. A well proportioned head with all the essentials, strong but feminine, I liked her expression very much. Construction of the body was also good, sturdy front, well boned legs front and back, lay back of shoulder and good let down at stifle were also good. Close coupled with a good tuck and tail carriage. Moved well. CC. 2 Liversidge’s, Hatson Getting Away With It. A bl/br who never took her eyes off me throughout the class. Good head,excellent expression, good stop, underjaw and tight lips. Good front, topline and feet, sound movement. 3 Heron’s, Manark Patience At Dilirystaff. OB (14,4) 1 Crawford &Wilson’s, Ch Northstaff Bay Bomber For Crowstaff JW. Eye catching bl/br with all the essentials. Good, clean head and body with a tight fitting coat and good muscular development. Construction fore and aft was impressive, again good shoulder placement, level topline and good tuck. Plenty of drive on the move. RCC 2 Shipp’s, Ch Delacour Sweetest Taboo For Idyllicstaff JW. Another quality bitch, this one black and white. Well balanced with strong head and feminine expression, dark round eyes, good rib and tuck, Alert and up on her toes, sound on the move. Close decision with one. 3 Candela’s, Alport Cerridwen.
