STAFFORDSHIRE BULL CRUFTS 24 Judge: Mr J Finney VD 11(2) 1. Cartes’ De Ch Over The Top of Spirit-Staff’s. A well constructed dog of correct type and proportions, correct head and front, moved like a 2 year old. 2. Ch/N/Dk/Fi/Se/Nord/Si UCh Goldstaffs Crack The Code Dk Jch. A quality pied dog, well set up in all departments, good level top-line with a powerful bend of stifle, find it hard to believe these first 2 are veterans. 3. Lewis’ Ch. Biggleswick Splash of Ginge. 1. Deen’s Ellchansha The Devil In Me at Tondoo. A fit looking young dog with good spring of rib and nice tight feet, looked the part being well exercised for a youngster. 2. Moorcroft’s Ellchansha Charm The Devil at Moorstar. Litter brother to 1st and it seems they have been lined to type, well balanced all round with no exaggerations, another fit and ready for purpose. 3. Rowland’s Bilrostaff He’s The One. 1. Thorley’s Crewestaff Half Blud Prince. This is a really promising puppy dog with everything going for him at this stage, short coupled with a level top-line, finished off with a perfectly chiselled Stafford head, BP. 2. Watson’s Dringshaw Masterpiece. A nice red and white but would benefit from more ring training, would have probably been placed higher if I had been able to assess him more thoroughly. 3. Creaney’s Alport Starman. 1. Gabel’s The Real Machine of Spirt Staff’s. A well balanced red dog who I am sure has a promising future, stood 4 square throughout and had all the right qualities including excellent pigmentation, RDCC. 2. Pickett’s Valglo Top Gun. A black brindle dog with similar qualities of 1st, strong muscular neck with good spring of rib and powerful back end. 3. Miller’s Skyland Imperial JW. 1. Andreassen’s Nightstaff Unspoken Nordjw-23. Another top quality, well balanced dog with good head shape and well placed ears, good depth of rib and well bent stifles, moved with drive. 2. Terry’s Kannechor Guess He’s Back at Gnosall. A fit looking young dog who looked ready for the job at all times, moved well with a good steady drive and kept his top-line at all times. 3. Wezowska-Stasica/Gajda’s Rocket Gladiator Kler Staff Jch. 1. Wiles’ Junostaff Big Man. A very typical red dog with a classic type of head, good bone and substance and in top condition, moved well front and rear. 2. Martinez’s Bullbrothers Howay The Lads. A well set up dog with no obvious faults, well developed rear end with good tail set and rear action, presented in top fit condition. 3. Calladine/Fritchley’s Dilirystaff Sauvage at Calrolo. 1. Gardner’s Labrastaf Espresso. A quality black brindle, typy head, front and top-line, deep chest with nice tuck up, another in great show condition. 2. Nolan’s Chiswelstaff I Am Legend. This dog never stopped showing himself to perfection, it must make it easy for a handler to work with a dog with obvious virtues and behaves himself throughout. 3. Nicholls’ Ginstean He’s My Boy. 1. Wilson/Rodgers’ Beinn A Bhuird with Azzgem. A very typy red and white dog with a terrific powerful head and muzzle, even so a good mouth, very fit and hard condition. 2. Kirk’s Kirstaff The First Avenger JW. Another quality red dog slightly taller than 1st but still well balanced, the type of red we used to see years ago, sadly not so much nowadays. 3. Kruger’s Powerpack Severus Snape. 1. Davies’ Jomello Stand By Me at Cwn Hardd. Black brindle with a very typy head and expression, nice dark eyes and neat ears, well balanced all round. 2. Higginson’s Fairlenium Iron King at Canisstaff. A very smart pied dog who looked the part, excelled in type and quality, good width of chest and barrel ribcage. 3. Payne’s Elhastaff Dark Knight. 1. Briant/Nicholson’s Ballindona Roger The Dodger JW. A very nice mahogany brindle that I have judged before and seems to improve with age and excelled in every department, the old fashioned type of Stafford that I have always admired. 2. Jones’ Kamaristaffs Royal Rumour JW. A quality Stafford with correct head and top-line, good front, neat ears and seemed to have the proper Stafford temperament. 3. Wilson’s Northstaff Nightmare. 1. Patis’ Robin Dark Knight Du Fleuron Champenois. This dog caught my eye as soon as he walked into the ring, full of type and Stafford temperament, ready to go at all times and in great condition and fitness, stood 4 square with a level top-line and classic Stafford head and moved with real drive, DCC. 2. O’Connor/Murphy’s Brockmar N Dub of Docarols. Another excellent dog who could easily have won the ticket on any other day, excellent front chest and spring of rib, another fit and ready for action. 3. Sheldon’s Ch. Kamaristaffs Royal Ransom at Bowtman JW. 1. Kruger’s Powerpack Severus Snape. 2 year old dog who I had placed in an earlier class, would do well in any company, stood and moved well at all times, very strong bend of stifle made him a lovely mover. 2. Tomkins’ Pasgal Reach Out and Touch. An eye-catching dog with all the right attributes but for me I would like to see a little more bone and substance. 3. Irvine’s Ashstaff Marshal of Fire.
