STAFFORDSHIRE BULL JUDGE EAST OF ENGLAND 12

Staffordshire Bull Terriers

There was a raft of quality in both sexes, very few were narrow & close movers, which unfortunately we see too many of this type in the ring.

MPD (5)

1 BP, Hart’s Albermarbull Red Riot, lovely red puppy, strong head, deep stop, dark round eye, clean lipped, short powerful neck onto a short coupled body, good depth of brisket for one so young, good bend of stifle, nice tidy feet;

2 Horton & Dunn’s Albermarbull Running Riot, r/w, many of the attributes of 1 but just a little looser on the shoulders than 1. In good condition, moved with enthusiasm.

PD (4)

1 Creaney’s Seabull Jolly Roger, red with good head, correct bite, lovely front, a little longer in the back than I like. Tight feet, good pigmentation, moved & handled well;

2 Lewis’ Charmonics Regal Lad, br/w chest, beautiful head, good bite, short coupled. Feet could be better. Level topline, in good condition, moved & handled well.

JD (7)

1 CC, Plant’s Kyralobis Italian Gigalo, beautiful b/br, super type, well balanced with no exaggerations good clean head straight front, short coupled body, good tuck up, neat feet, an absolute pleasure to go over this dog, a worthy CC winner;

2 Thomas’ Ashstock Knight Shadow, red with good head , correct bite , dark eye, black mask, ears a little high but did not detract from expression. Level topline, correct tail carriage.

YD (9)

1 Fox’s Carbis Red Rum, red with a deep stop, neat ears, round dark eye, good front, a little lighter in the body than I normally would go for but the type was there, tidy feet, moved & handled well;

2 Fulford’s Staffstyle Burning Heart at Bokido, r/w, powerful head, clean lipped, correct bite, good front & depth of brisket, level topline, good tuck up. Moved a little close behind but a well balanced dog nonetheless.

GD (4)

1 A Knight Shadow;

2 Bryan’s Valglo Leggionare, mah/br, what a cracking head this dog has, deep broad skull, short foreface, neat well placed ears, short powerful neck, compact powerful body, just preferred movement on 1.

PGD (6)

1 English’s Engstaff Hey Joe, mah/br with both substance & type, deep skull, good width across the eyes with keen expression, broad muzzle, correct bite, powerful neck, straight front, well padded feet, short coupled body with good depth of brisket, well tucked up, good bend of stifle, moved well;

2 Thurston’s Pasgsl Anin’t Too Proud To Beg, br/w chest, powerful dog, strong head, little longer in the muzzle than 1, round dark eye with good expression, correct bite, straight front, a little heavier than 1, level topline, powerful backend, just prefer movement on 1. Handled well.

LD (16)

A strong class with a lot of very good animals in it, not enough places to go around.
