STAFFORDSHIRE BULL SOUTH WALES 15 Judge(s): ELAINE PEARSON Staffordshire Bull Terriers I’d like to thank SWKA committee for allowing me to judge Staffords. Also to the exhibitors & exhibits. I had a very enjoyable day, where my steward Mike made it easy for me. I had no hesitation on my best dog, bitch, reserve dog & bitch & BP. MPD (3,2a) 1 Hirst & Bibby’s Turaiel Darth Vader, just 7 months old. Nice b/br with dark eye & good topline. Would have liked a shorter muzzle, but he’s only a baby & has a long way to develop. Moved & handled well. PD (2) 1 Thomas’ Ginstean Perfect Gift, 12 months old brindle, good strong head with dark eye & good expression, correct bite, nice front, level topline, ample rib for age, stood proud, got a good future, showed in excellent condition. BP; 2 Clough’s Mytop Gun Maverick at Ingenio, 10 month old b/br with a touch of white, bigger than 1, nicely put together, moved & handled well. JD (2) 1 Finney’s Ballindona Crafty Copper at Sangulliano, 14 month old, what a cracker from nose to tail, excellent head shape with perfect ear carriage, dark eye. Well pronounced cheek muscles, strong short muzzle with distinct stop, excellent dentition, short neck, straight front, ample rib, strong hindquarters, short coupled body, tight well padded feet, pump handle tail. Moved with power, a credit to his owners. CC & BOB; 2 Sherwood’s Yiskastaff Dark Kngiht, 17 months old b/br, similar to 1 in all departments, cracking head shape with excellent expression, dark eye, rose shaped ears, straight front with just the right amount of brisket, level topline, short coupled with ample rib, strong hindquarters, well padded feet. Moved with ease. RCC, well deserved, definitely got a good future. YD (7) 1 Hawken’s Carfury Bal Dhu, 20 months old, very nice dark br/w, strong head displaying a good blend of bull & terrier, dark eye, very well balanced in all departments, correct ear carriage, excellent spring of rib, good topline tapering to strong hindquarters, well padded feet, moved & handled very well; 2 Woullett’s Assillo Red Alert, 22 months red in tip top condition, deep through head with pronounced stop, dark eye, strong wide front, plenty of bone & rib, level topline, well muscled hindquarters, moved & handled well; 3 Richards’ Kings Of Odin Night Fever. PGD (8) 1 Miller’s Deldenas Black Shadow, lovely b/br, powerful in construction, strong head, short muzzle, good expression, dark eyes, correct bite & ear carriage, level topline, plenty of rib, tight feet, strong hindquarters, moved & handled well; 2 Davies’ Ginstean Man Of Gold, black with a touch of white, fine head, deep & square, dark eye, rose shaped ears, short neck, level topline, showed himself well; 3 Whitley’s Ginstean Black Bomber. LD (9,1) 1 Thomas’ Biggleswick Funky Devil, r/w, took my eye the minute he walked into the ring, lovely quality & type, very well balanced, strong head, short muzzle with pronounced stop, correct scissor bite, dark eye, neat shaped ears, short neck, deep brisket, strong bodied, level topline, plenty of rib, stood foursquare, showed in gleaming coat, 10 out of 10 for movement; 2 Hubble’s The Men At The Top, nicely put together r/w dog, nicely shaped skull, short pronounced stop, correct scissor bite, nice round eye, strong bodied with plenty of bone & rib, strong hindquarters with good bend of stifle, moved & handled very well; 3 Membury’s Mitzstaff Crazy Cuz. OD (5) 1 Choma & Matviakova’s Ch Satip Sorboss at Vraburbull, a very nice b/br dog, strong head with correct stop & bite, the darkest of eyes, rose shaped ears, good front, plenty of brisket, level topline, ample rib, good tuck up, well padded feet, in lovely condition, shown well; 2 Ryan’s Rubericla Black Starscream, close decision for 1st place, similar to 1 in all departments, strong head, ears well placed, dark eyes, short neck, correct bite, ample rib, good bend of stifle, in tiptop condition, moved & handled well; 3 Martinez’s Bullbrothers Fifth Element. VD (2) 1 Summers’ Jewelstaff Kubia Khan at Warriorstaff, dark br/w, well balanced with strong head, short muzzle, dark eye, neat ears & lovely expression, stood foursquare, lovely mover, he knew the drill; 2 Thomson’s Kiamirose Bossin Motion at Siriustaff, another well balanced dog, similar to 1 in all departments, seemed to love being in the ring, showed himself well. Two very nice OAP’s. GCD (0). MPB (3) 1 Robinson & Robinson’s Studstaff Sugar And Spice of Wamason, 7 months old r/w, a fit well balanced bitch, nice shaped head, dark mask, scissor bite, tight lipped, dark round eye with rose shaped ears, short neck, straight front with good feet, nicely put together with strong hindquarters, showed well; 2 Bradley’s Ginstean Mia Rose, 8 months dark brindle, similar to 1, in excellent condition with right amount of bone. Body shape good with correct hindquarters, tight feet, moved & handled well; 3 Norton’s Edgeworth Flash Frankie at Tikkurilan. PB (7) 1 Nicholson’s Antrelleda Just Jane at Ballinobna, 11 months dark brindle with white blaze, nice head shape with nice length of muzzle & correct bite, dark eye, straight front, tidy ears, level topline, good body shape with correct hindquarters & bend of stifle, moved & handled well; 2 Marshallsay’s Fergustaff Valkerie Queen, almost 12 months r/w, similar to 1, plenty of bone & substance, good mouth & muzzle, body in balance to head shape, moved well; 3 G Mia Rose. JB (6) 1 Thisby’s Sumton Black Pearl at Taurinstaff, 15 months br/w, classy bitch, stood out in the line up, lovely shaped head with pronounced stop, darkest of eyes, rose shaped ears, well balanced body, straight front with level topline, short in body, strong backend, pump handle tail, stood foursquare, tight well padded feet, in tiptop condition, moved with ease, a pleasure to award her RCC, one to watch; 2 Thomson’s Srarolestaff Lady Bea with Siriustaff, 17 months brindle, another quality bitch, similar to 1 in fit condition, liked everything about her, keep showing, moved & handled first class; 3 Barke’s Felkirkstaff at Starhaze. YB (8,1) 1 Canavan’s Boldstock Am I Bothered, under 2 years old, stood well in her toes, nice shaped head & lots of expression, correct bite & ear carriage with good pigmentation & pronounced cheek bumps, strong underjaw & distinct stop, straight front with lots of loin, short coupled & ample rib, tapering to well bent stifle, good topline, good mover; 2 Wollett’s Assilio Red Contessa, 22 months, lovely red in gleaming condition, lovely head shape with distinct stop, nice dark eye, clean lipped, correct bite with pronounced cheek bumps, good depth of brisket, straight front, well padded feet, pump handle tail, moved & handled well; 3 Lewis’ Macadermus Queen at Inkastaff. PGB (6) 1 MacClement’s Jodanzac Brindle Pride, lovely brindle bitch, liked everything about her, super head, tight lipped, correct bite, dark round eye, nice front, well off for bone, short in body with plenty of rib, good bend of stifle, well padded tight feet, one to watch, moved & handled well; 2 Beesley’s Jodanzac Missy Lou, very similar to 1, well balanced in fit condition, body matched her head, short muzzle, clean lipped, good expression, plenty of bone, short in body, was told they were sisters, two lovely bitches; 3 Molineux’s Jefmor Winter Solstice for Druidhawk. LB (12,1) 1 Quinn’s Bowferry Life On Mars, b/br, liked this bitch when she was a puppy & not disappointed, I like her ever more today, great head shape, keen expression, good blend of bull & terrier, correct bite, well placed rose shaped ears, clean lipped, correct scissor bite, dark round eye, well pronounced cheek bumps, short muzzle with distinct stop, nice clean front with short back, plenty of rib, ample bone, powerful backend, tight well padded feet, stood foursquare, a credit to her owners, moves & handles excellent, easy winner for the CC; 2 Elrick’s Ruadonis Delilahs Delight, r/w, eyecatching in excellent condition, good head shape with pronounced cheek muscles, short muzzle, clean lipped, dark eye, correct ear shape, well bodied, plenty of brisket, level topline, ample rib, strong hindquarters, correct tail carriage, in gleaming condition, moved & handled with ease; 3 Nicholson’s Ballindona Caol Ila. OB (6,1) 1 Ryan’s Rubericki Little Bumblebee, very nice looking bitch, beautiful head shape, not overdone, correct bite, nicely placed ears, short neck, compact body, plenty of rib, well boned, level topline, strong hindquarters, well padded feet, stood foursquare, handled well; 2 Hirst & Bibby’s Ch Toraiel Clara, very similar to 1, beautiful b/br, well balanced bitch, strong head shape topped with the neatest of ears, lovely expression, short compact body with ample rib, clean front, straight legs, pump handle tail, tight well padded feet, handled to perfection; 3 Martin’s Aluis Northern Lights.
