STAFFORDSHIRE BULL WELKS 17 Judge(s): GILLIAN SKELLY Staffordshire Bull Terriers VD (2) 1 Jones’ Blazinstaff Light My Fire, 8 years. R/w in hard condition for one of this age. Powerful head set off with round dark eye & rose ears, ample stop, nice bite, well bent stifle, short coupling, moved well. Pleased to award him BV; 2 Smart & Worthy’s Fifa Blue, 8 years 2 months bl/w. nice head shape with correct placed wears, ample stop, good bite, ample stop, strong front with deep brisket, well boned legs, bent stifle, moved well. MPD (5) 1 Harrison & Roper’s Trawden Ice Rebel, 8 months 3 weeks r/w pied, good shaped head with dark eye, rose ears, ample bone & rib, good front, bent stifle, moved OK; 2 Dixon’s Maggem Sinner Boy, 6 months 3½ weeks r/w. Well shaped body for his age, nice blend of bull & terrier. Good mouth, deep brisket, short coupling, bent stifle, moved very good, just needs a little more time to mature. PD (5) 1 Shipp & Hammond’s Hammystaff Hanky Panky with Idyllicstaff, 11 months r/w, well balanced body which was compact, well shaped strong head with broad skull & deep stop & strong muzzle, neat rose ears, good cheek muscles, scissor bite, well bone front & legs, well off for rib, level topline, moves & handled well. A credit to his owner/handler. Pleased to award him BPD & BP; 2 Stanway’s Little Earthquakes Powerstrike at Waystaff, 12 months, b/w, maturing nicely, compact bade, well shaped head, neat rose ears, correct bite, defined stop, well off for rib, level topline, handled well. JD (10) 1 Moureu-Larrang’s Little Polar Force Blackbull Diamonds, 15½ months r/w, dog with powerful head, strong muzzle, deep stop, good mouth & ear carriage, deep brisket, short coupling, bent stifle, good bone & rib, correct tail carriage, moved well, a credit to his owner; 2 Hehir’s Assilio Red Rebel, 1 year 2 months r/w, well balanced body is very compact, nest rose ears, good cheek muscles, scissor bite, defined stop, well off for rib, level topline, moved well. Very close between 1 & 2. YD (12,2a) 1 Moureu-Larrang’s Lord Largo Pineapple Du Clan Molotov, 1 year 8 months r/w. Nice shaped strong head with deep stop, strong muzzle, scissor bite, ample boned legs with well padded feet, deep brisket, good topline, bent stifles, moved & handled well; 2 Partington’s Manark Bronzes Star, 1 year 11 months black with small white marking, another strong headed dog set off with neat rose ears, deep stop, nice scissor bite, nice shoulder placement, strong bone, deep brisket, good topline, bent stifle, correct pump handled tail, moved well. ND (3) 1 Jordan’s Dazmarnic Know Wot I Mean, r/w, another good specimen of the breed, excellent shaped head with well placed ears, round dark eye, defined stop, strong under jaw with correct bite, well padded feet, well angulated stifle, correct tail carriage. Moved well; 2 Brady’s Calazde Black Hawk War, nice head shape which was deep through, nice ears, good muzzle, nice bite, ample bone & rib, pump handle tail, good topline, moved well. PGD (10,3) 1 Yorke’s Braunstaff Feel The Noise, b/br with white markings, head of correct proportion, good ear carriage, round well placed dark eye, ample underjaw, good front & feet, nice length to coupling, stifle well bent, good rib, moved well; 2 Edwards’ Tagstane Welsh Wonder, b/br, strong head with defined stop, neat ears & dark eye, good strength to muzzle with deep stop, good front & deep brisket, short coupling, bent stifle, moved OK. LD (22,6) 1 Deldenas Black Shadow, b/br, well balanced body which is very compacted, well shaped head which was broad & deep, rose ears, scissor bite, nice well boned front & legs, good rib, level topline which he kept on the move, moved & handled well. Pleased to award him with RCC; 2 Ritchie’s Northsal Tire Nice One Sam, b/br, strong head with defined stop, neat ears, good strength to muzzle with deep stop, short coupling, bent stifle, moved well. OD (12,1) 1 Finney’s Ballindona Crafty Copper at Sanguliano, b/br with white markings, strong headed which had broad skull which was powerful, very deep stop, strong underjaw, excellent bite with large white teeth, round dark eye, rose ears well set & carried well, good expression, nice cheek muscles, well boned front with deep brisket, lovely short back, nice stifle, strong hindquarters with correct pump handle tail, standing foursquare, moved & handled very well. Credit to his handler/owner. Pleased to award him with CC & BOB; 2 Houghton’s Ch Belterstaffs Ginger Joe, r/w, excellent specimen, has short blunt muzzle with correct bite, strong underjaw, strong neck. Close coupling, nice tuck-up, bent stifle. VB (4) 1 Hopkins’ Ch Trufflesstaff Monifa Kanika, 9 years 9 months dark brindle, head was feminine but strong, nice round dark eye, head set off with rose ears which was well placed, strong muzzle with correct scissor bite & deep stop, in hard condition, moved well; 2 Funnell’s Ch Kewauner Pocahontas for Powerpack, 9 years 4 months b/br. Typical feminine head shape set off with neat ears, clean bite, nice front, well padded feet, well bent stifle, good topline, moved well. MPB (6,1) 1 Beesley’s Maxstaff Miss Whizz, 7 months r/w. Powerful head for a bitch so young, dark eye, rose ears, good stop & muzzle, scissor bite, good spring of rib, bent stifle, moved well; 2 Jackson’s Jackabyte Miss Moneypenny, 8¼ months dark brindle, nice shaped body, good shaped head with neat ears, dark round eye, short neck, good spring of rib, bent stifle, moved well. PB (3,1) 1 Mayren’s Joemikeste Queen Of The Nile at Fergiestaffs, 11 months r/w pied. Typical feminine head, dark round eye, neat ears, straight front which was well boned, nice barrel rib, bent stifle, short coupling, moved well; 2 Lefebvre’s Medusa Which Petrified Du Clan Molotov, 10½ months b/br/w. Good feminine head which had a nice shape set off with neat ears, dark eye, good bite, plenty bone on front & legs, level topline, moved well. JB (13,3) 1 Stanway’s Stormfire Crack The Code at Waystaff, 13 months r/w pied, head which is feminine but strong, head set off with rose ears, well placed round dark eye, strong muzzle, good underjaw, scissor bite, nice tuck-up, in hard condition, moved well; 2 Calonge’s Diamongs of Blanch Princess, 16 monthss w/b pied, nice head shape with neat ears & round dark eye, scissor bite, well boned legs, tight padded feet, good rib, good topline, moved well. YB (10,2) 1 Scotland’s Callastaff Moon River, 19½ months b/br, very good bitch, nice shaped body, good head with neat ears & round dark eye, good bite, short neck, good bend of stifle, stood well, moved & handled well; 2 Freeman & Davis’ Antroboss She’s The One at Windstaff, 19 months red with dark mask, nice gleam to coat, clean scissor bite, rose ears, nice head shape, brisket that was deep, bent stifle, moved well. NB (1) 1 Ritchie’s Northsaltire Force India, b/br with white markings, good shaped body with good conditioned coat, nice head shape with rose ears, nice front, level topline, moved well. PGB (13,4) 1 Robinson, Robinson-Cox & Cox’s Studstaff Sugar And Spice of Gamason, r/w bitch with dark mask, strong headed with short muzzle & good stop, dark eye, good bite, well sprung ribs, short coupling, nice front & feet, moved well; 2 Mckimm’s Biggleswick Fifty Fifty, r/w with dark mask, good head shape set off with neat ears & dark eye, clean bite, good front, level topline, moved well. LB (9) 1 Ritchie’s Blazinstaff Reflection A Northsaltire, r/w with dark mask, standard size bitch, nice gleam to coat, clean scissor bite, rose ears, nice head shape with tidy ears, good ribs, in good condition, moved well; 2 Gabel’s Hocus Pocus of Spirit-Staffs, b/br. Head was feminine but strong, nice round dark eye, head set off with rose eyes, scissor bite, nice shaped ribs, bent stifle, in good condition, very close between 1 & 2, can change places any day. OB (8,1) 1 Rollin’s Seenworstaff Tea For Two, r/w. Strong headed with short muzzle & good stop, dark eye, head set off with rose ears which was well placed, strong muzzle with correct scissor bite & deep stop, muscular neck, nice tuck-up, short coupling, well padded feet, level topline, in hard condition, moved well. Pleased to award CC & BOS. Told later that made up to Ch subject to KC approval; 2 Stanway’s Mosstrooper Making Mischief at Waystaff, r/w pied, head was feminine but strong, nice round dark eye, head set off with rose ears, strong muzzle with correct scissor bite & deep stop, moved well.
