WEST HIGHLAND WHITE BORDER UNION 25 Judge: Mrs Sonia Connell (Sonorra) Thank you to the Border Union committee for the invitation and my stewards who operated the ring efficiently. JD (1/0) 1 Tullis & Newtons Lynnsto Craftsman At Drumsheugh Nice size and shape with a good topline and a correct tail set. Well proportioned head with a slight dome to his skull. Clean front and correctly set shoulders. He was not happy with his surroundings and was a little reluctant to show, although I could assess his movement and he was sound both ways and presented in good order. LD (1/0) 1 Fishers Zackshine Dream Boy Pleasing head and expression attributed by his correctly placed eyes and ears, although I would prefer less length of foreface. Shoulders a tad forward and his forelegs are straight and well boned. Good top line and tail set and well angulated quarters. Moved true going away and presented in good condition. OD (3/0) 1 Fryers Oh Carol Vixen Into Hopecharm (Imp Poland) Masculine dog with terrific bone and substance without appearing coarse. His head is of good proportions and his ears and eyes are of the desired shape and placed correctly to enhance his typical expression. His forehand is excellent as his shoulders are set at the correct angle, and he has a good length and return of upper arm to frame his developed brisket. His forelegs are straight, and he has good feet. He carries a level top line and has a great spring of rib extending well back to a short loin. Moved true both fore and aft with correct footfall when viewed from side profile. His harsh jacket and furnishings were presented to advantage, and he deserved the CC & BOB, and I was pleased to hear he went on to win group 1, Congratulations. 2 Burns CH Burneze Reach For The Stars Another excellent specimen who has a lovely head with ears and eyes of the correct size and shape culminating in a typical expression. He has a well-constructed forehand with his shoulders set well back and a correctly angled upper arm onto straight forelegs. He has a good reach of neck, a level topline and a good tail set. He was presented in the condition we expect from this exhibitor with not a hair out of place. He moved soundly Both ways. On the day I preferred the compactness of the winner, RCC PB (2/0) 1 Burns Burneze Maid To Measure A very exciting puppy who is so well balanced and good for bone and substance while maintaining femininity. Her head is lovely and correctly proportioned, her ears are correctly placed, and her eyes have a mischievous glint that made me smile. Her front angles are spot on, and she held a level topline and a good tail carriage. Her quarters are correctly angulated and good for muscle tone for her age. She was presented in pristine condition and moved true both ways, BPIB & CC. She went on to win the terrier puppy group and BPIS, many congratulations, although Im sure she will amass many top awards when mature. 2 Griffiths Karamynd Press The Button Another very promising puppy who portrays a balanced outline.
