WEST HIGHLAND WHITE MIDLAND COUNTIES 22 Judge: Albert Wight MPD (1) 1 Stankiene & Stankus’ Vivolunar Brando Loco big ribbed charmer who is in love with the world! Very good headpiece with the darkest of well shaped, expressive eyes and that big black nose! He is well ribbed and moved out steadily and confidently for one so young. I am sure he will do well. Unlucky to meet such a beautiful bitch puppy which is surely title bound. 1 & DCC Steemson’s Bocans Hot of The Press I was delighted to meet such a promising youngster as this so early in the day. Beautifully headed, the neatest of well set and used ears, slightly domed skull, slightly tapered muzzle with an amply wide underjaw and whole well furnished. Uses his reachy neck to full advantage, big ribcage, short backed, tail bang of top. His forefeet are a good size and well padded,, the coat harsh with a good undercoat and he stepped out with such purpose and drive. Surely title bound, 2 Thomson’s Ashgate Kelvin, how unlucky for this quality youngster to meet the winner in such form. A size smaller all over but still undeniably masculine and he too oozes quality. I liked his head, lovely expression, sufficient reach of neck and ample spring if rib for his size. I felt the winner had the better muzzle strength whilst this chap is sound both ways, the winner just had that extra ooomph as they went around the ring. But capable of going all the way. 3 Smith’s Faymar Tartan Rapper 1 Goodwin-Nolan;sMac Too Hi Ho Silver nicely headed chap with a delightful eye and expression. Enough neck, but steep in upper arm, well ribbed with a good forechest and straight forelimbs. His tail is well set and carried but although sufficient width in upper thigh, I felt he could have moved out with a bit more thrust. His harsh jacket was beautifully presented 1 & Res CC Burns’ Burneze Here Comes Trouble and 2nd Foster’s Thozow Master of The House two extremely promising youngsters which were hard to separate. Both are ultra short backed with excellent ribcages and that reach in neck which adds to “kerb” appeal. I felt they had well balanced and masculine heads aided by good eye size, shape and colour and both such attentive showmen. They matched each other stride for stride circling the ring but coming towards me I felt Trouble was firmer in pastern and he just had that fraction wider jaw width. But two spanking dogs. 3 Corn’s Inverglen Piper 1 Fox’s Hillsted Same Difference well textured and coated dog but not doing much to aid his cause Pleasing head pattern with good pigmentation an a nice eye shape. Although he has a good spring of rib, I would like him that tad shorter in loin and he persists in leaning back on the stack. Side gait even striding but incline to toe in when fore viewed. 1 & BV Foster’s Ch Hillsted Masquerade at Thozow JW ShCM unsurprised to read that he is a Ch as he has that stamp of being upper class, bags of attitude, in spanking coat condition and presentation and all male in style and attitude..So well constructed, short backed, well ribbed and lovely profile. The sign of getting older is that his front is now a tad wide but side on he motors and was a pleasure to judge. 1 Carlin & Gillott’s- Lizandycris Izi Is A Belter this ultra feminine package is so fullof self importance that she made me smile! Delightful head, the darkest of eyes full of mischief and with a ready for he has a good reach of neck, short in back, nice spring of rib and she really used her hocks well circling the ring. Well presented I just hope she grows on a bit in size. 1st & BP Burns Burneze Hello Dolly yet another stunning example of the breed from these oh so clever breeders. This charmer is ultra feminine yet still gives the impression that she could do a hard days work. A delight to go over, superereach of neck, firm and well muscled and she strode around the ring as though she owns it. 1 Mitchell’s Newvoldemort Just Like Me at Frazandmitch rather a nice headed bitch with well set and used ears aiding her appeal Scores in spring and depth of rib, firm backline and a well swet4 and carried tail. She was beautifully presented and is so free striding as she circles the ring. 2 Smith’s Faymar Secret Flirt not quite so developed in body as the winner but she scores in reach of neck, level backline and has such well developed and muscled hindquarters. As a result she is a joy to watch circle the ring so positively Her head is pleasing with a decent backskull and neat ears. 3 Newvoldemort Just for Me (Szulzycka) 1 Noyce’s Maxula Vanilla Ice Cream, appealed straight away because of her outline. Compact, lovely head carriage, firm topline and tail bang on top. So well bodied with a decent spring of rib, short loin and the whole covered with a harsh textured well prepared jacket. Moves around the ring with that air of being something, special showing good reach and drive. 2 Foster’s Thozow I’d Do Anything another nicely presented bitch, so well bodied and ribbed and with a very well balanced headpiece. Good pigmentation and in lovely jacket. Not quite the layback in shoulder of the winner and she steps that tad shorter in profile action. 3 Szulzycka ‘s Kornelia De New Gryffindor (Szulzycka) 1 & Res CC Smith’s Lingbeck Hold The Dream loved her head, eyes and expression, so well ribbed with ample forechest, nicely ribbed, firm in back and well muscled hindquarters. Her coat texture is harsh to the touch and she moved out soundly so her presence enhanced the bitch challenge. 2 Jenkinson’s Highcross Pandora this bitch appealed for the quality of her head and expression with especially appealing eyes. She is a good size, has ample substance but not quite the reach of neck nor the tightness in elbow of Dream. But she is definitely an eye pleaser. 3 Carlin & Gillot’sFourastay Fidelina at Lizandycris 1 CC & BOB Burns’ Ch Burneze All in One yet another top quality Westie from the Burneze assembly line.. I liked everything about her, so feminine in head and expression, beautifully ribbed, in spanking body and muscle tone trimmed to perfection, then drifts around the ring with style, .panache and such purpose Delighted to send her through to the Group. 2 Edmondson’s Highcross Prosecco at Pepabby another top quality example of a Westie bitch. Standing she is a pleasure to go over. Loved her head and expressive eyes aid by such neat ears. So well bodied, coat so well presented and she fills the eye on the stack. Not quite the lightness of foot in action of those I put over her, but heaps to admire. 3 Fox’s Hillsted Sweet Whispers
