WEST HIGHLAND WHITE SKC AUGUST 12 Judge(s): MR B SMITH West Highland White Terriers MPD (0). PD (1) 1 McLoughlin’s Ley Hey Latest Legend, This cheeky chap stood alone, good head & pigment, well placed ears, ample coat of harsh texture, a little unsettled on the move. BPD. JD (2) 1 Molony’s Killynether Kolumbo, a tidy freestanding youngest with a pleasing head & expression, neat ears, good in front & shoulder, short back, tail on top, moved out well, just needs time to mature; 2 Hayton’s Pedrohay Roberto, nice youngster with good head, harsh coat, just didn’t put all in today. YD (3) 1 Corri’s Inverglen Lord Of The Manor, both these young lads are very similar in type with super heads, correct bites, piercing expressions, good harsh jackets, well presented, strong boned dogs; 2 Bell’s Pentangle Aramis, just lost out on movement; 3 Ladhams & Rudd’s Juraspirit Caimbeul. PGD (1) 1 Forbes’ Karensbrae Independence, stood alone, pleasing head, good coat texture, moved out well. LD (5) 1 Dale’s Something Special Superbia Lynnsto, strongly built dog, well balanced, pure white coat of correct texture, faultless presentation, well placed ears, clean over the shoulder, level topline & tail well set, good front & rearend, showed & moved out well with drive. RCC; 2 Taylor’s Flassendale Fairlie, really nice compact dog with a great head, very nice type, neat ears, true on the move, just lost out on presentation; 3 Jenkinson’s Highcross Willie Be Charmed. OD (5) 1 Corri’s Inverglen Banjo, have judged this dog before & liked him. He did not disappoint today. Masculine dog with an excellent head & expression, correct bite with large teeth, well balanced, excellent in front & shoulder, effortless on the move, harsh coat, in his prime at 5 years, great to see a true old school Westie. CC; 2 Burns’ Burneze Dizzee Rascal, lovely shape & outline, super white coat of good texture, good pigment, neat ears, tail on top, moved well, just needs time to mature; 3 Tullis’ Drumsheugh True Grit. MPB (3) Two really lovely babies. 1 Burns’ Burneze Rumour Has It, good heads, dark pigment, snow white coats which were beautifully prepared, both very happy on the move & showed well, just preferred the cleaner shoulders & leg length of 1; 2 Dale’s Lynnsto Ultra Special; 3 McLoughlin’s Llovall Look Here Ley Hey. PB (1) 1 Morton’s Brychdyn Carrie On Swifdon, well balanced puppy, good head with neat ears, correct bite, clean shoulders running into level topline, tail on top, moved well front & back covering the ring, good presentation. BP. JB (5) 1 Crockett’s Markstown Tail Her Maid, well balanced youngster with good head & ears, good front & hindquarters, well laid shoulders, tail on top, harsh white coat, moved & covered the ground with ease; 2 Hayton’s Pedrohay Silver Magnolia, nice head with good bite, coat of correct texture, very reluctant to move; 3 Dale’s Lynnsto Eye Candy. YB (2) 1 Kinnaird’s Gilbri Ruby Tuesday at Pepperknowe, feminine bitch with good head & neat ears, true in front, harsh white coat, nicely presented, held herself well on the move; 2 Bell’s Pentangle Penny Lane, lovely when stacked, good head & bite, nice white coat in good condition, just did not want to move today. PGB (7) 1 Hughes’ Brychdyn Witzend, well balanced, good head, ears & expression, deep chest, moved true, tail on top, well presented coat in good condition; 2 Edmondson’s Pepabby Pirouette, very showy compact bitch, excellent tailset, free stands, preferred ears & leg length of 1; 3 Hunt’s Kellethrigg Serenade Girl. LB (7) 1 Burns’ Burneze Plan Bea, ultra feminine bitch of superb quality, very elegant, lovely head with an expression to die for, harsh white coat groomed to perfection as always from this kennel, darkest of pigment, good front & hindquarters, correct reach of neck running into well laid shoulders, short back, tail carried bang on top, moving well fore & aft & showed her socks off, would gladly have taken her home with me. CC & BOB; 2 Hughes’ Brychdyn Remarque, lovely bitch, good head, neck & shoulder, harsh coat, well groomed, free moving; 3 Smith’s Lingbeck Playing The Lady. OB (11) 1 Smith’s Ch Faymar Fine Romance, very feminine bitch with a super head, good in shoulder running into compact body, tail on top, lovely pure white harsh coat presented in excellent condition, did just enough on movement to give her the class & RCC; 2 Molony’s Ch Killynether Krazy For You, lovely bitch in good coat, well balanced, strong head with neat ears, good in neck & shoulder.
