WEST HIGHLAND WHITE JUDGE WELKS 11

West Highland White Terriers

MPD (1) A.

PD (3)

1 Squire’s Bellevue Special Catch, soundly constructed with good reach of neck & well laid shoulders, well angulated behind. Balanced but large enough;

2 MacBean’s Gilbri Royal Commander at Pryorvale, very attractive & of good type, well constructed & better for size. Made life difficult by refusing to move with any continuity.

JD (3)

Good class.

1 West’s Tomlyndon Spoilt Rotten, has most definitely improved with time, looks more balanced than when a puppy, soundly constructed, masculine with good bone & substance, broad skull & strong muzzle, powerful mover & carries himself very well, not least his tail which is bang on top at all times;

2 Squires’ Kimgarwyn Arlo, well constructed & of good proportions, excellent front & strong quarters, masculine & well presented;

3 Burns’ Burneze Dizzee Rascal.

PGD (8)

Class of mixed maturity & attributes.

1 Owen’s Bournehaven Triple Target, won class on free movement & showmanship, lovely to go over, well constructed, well balanced & angulated, well presented. Just needs more furnishings to complete picture;

2 Taylor’s Flassendale Fairlie, have watched & liked from ringside, very true type of Westie with good head, expression & bite, excellent shoulders & strong hindquarters. Moves freely but not assertiveness of 1;

3 Jennings’ Comdale Smooth Operator.

LD (8)

1 Lewis’ Lynnsto Man About Town, eyecatching dog as entered ring, stood out & in peak condition, very good to go over with masculine head & good expression, great run in of shoulder, short coupled, strong quarters, tail bang on, handled to advantage as is clearly wilful & full of his own importance, very well presented. CC;

2 Edmondson’s Pepabby Prank, lovely to handle, great head & expression, broad skull, good stop, well made up under eyes, strong muzzle, large teeth - not so frequent at the moment, very clean shoulders & good reach of neck, short coupled, well angulated & balanced, free shower & good mover, well set tail always on top. Looked less mature & ready than 1. RCC;

3 Smith’s Lorbri Sweet Talkin Guy.

OD (7)

1 MacBean’s Ch Bellevue Going Dutch with Pryorvale, won on easy movement as well as construction, very well balanced & of good size, good run in of shoulder & short coupled, tail very well set & carried right on top. Coat condition could have been better;

2 Minett’s Duskhunter Dutch Courage, son of 1 & many similarities in construction. Just felt 1 had edge on hind movement & was little cleaner in shoulder;

3 Morton’s Havasu Hey Dude for Swifdon.

MBP (4)

1 Jennings’ Comdale Club Class, little charmer, super confident, extrovert on move with real reach in front, sound to go over & of lovely type. BP;

2 Gaydon’s Gilbri Royal Sapphire, another very nice puppy with lovely outline & also confident, good reach of neck & short back, sound on move;

3 Sizmore’s Lamsmore Harmonie.

PB (6)

1 Gaydon’s Gilbri Spannish Rose, well balanced & beautifully presented, well constructed with good angulation, moved soundly & carried herself proudly;

2 Hughes’ Brychdin Remarque, liked type & construction, good head, well laid shoulders & well angulated hindquarters. Not quite as outgoing as 1 on move;

3 Squire’s Bellevue Lookin For Fun.

JB (6)

1 Squire’s Kimgarwyn Opal, impressed by this bitch, good construction served her well on move, very free & tail always right on top. Head could be little stronger but hope will go on developing. Reminded me of Ch Lasara Love Me Too;

2 Lilley & Milling’s Lilmill Pocket Rocket, another eyecatching bitch, lovely hard white coat & in good condition. Assertive mover but a little stubborn making movement not quite as flowing as 1. Real quality;

3 Noyce’s Maxula Make A Promise.

PGB (8)

1 Kabel’s Lovall And All That, very confident & positive on move, well constructed with good lay of shoulder, short back & great tailset;

2 Foster’s Thozow Sweet Violet, showy, also well constructed & responded well to handler. Could do with touch more weight to complete picture;

3 West’s Tomlyndon Reign On Parade.

LB (10)

Good class of differing types.

1 Dale’s Lynnsto Platinum, very pleasing to go over, confident showgirl & made most of herself on move, in good coat & well presented;

2 Squire’s Bellevue Dream Girl, very well balanced with neck flowing into well laid shoulders, strong hindquarters, close up to 1 & of clear quality. Needed a little more finish to complete picture;

3 Lilley& Milling’s Potty Dotty.

OB (4)

Excellent class of quality bitches giving reason to be optimistic about the breed.

1 Gaydon’s Ch Bellevue Town Flirt at Gilbri, gave BP to when I last judged & happy fulfilled early promise, feminine, lovely make & shape, beautiful outline, so well balanced, flowing free movement is great virtue & gives the edge. CC & BOB;

2 Jennings’ Llovall As Mama Said to Comdale, liked construction & type, good size & very pleasing to go over, also strong mover & happy showgirl. RCC;

3 Lilley & Milling’s Lilmill Giv Me Your Answer Do.
