Royal Highland Showground, Ingliston, Edinburgh Judge(s) Mrs F A Somerfield DCC SILHILL TUFTY WITH SHEREX (MESDAMES S & S McCOURT & EARDLEY)
PD (2) 1 Simpkins’ Iandor Love Me Tender, very alert b/t, nice head, eye & ears, neck, legs & feet, good outline, pleasing body & ribs. BP; 2 Jones’ Wyeafon Torch Wood, red, on his toes & very sure of himself, carried his natural tail better than 1. At 6 months softer all through & needs to knit together. JD (0). LD (1) 1 Brown’s Ralindi Cruise Control, nice size b/r, well balanced, pleasing body & rib, good coat. OD (3) 1 McCourt & Eardley’s Silhill Tufty with Sherex, strong workmanlike red, very expressive, well set & carried ears, good neck, shoulders, topline & tail, strong hindquarters, in good coat, moved out well. CC; 2 Stoddart’s Ch Millvalley Red Rufus, I also liked very much, good head, neat front, legs & feet, pleasing topline & tailset. Not in best coat. RCC; 3 Jones’ Silhill Limited Edition at Wyeafon. PB (3) 1 Simpkins’ Iandor She’s Hot To Go, pleasing head & eye, nice neck, shoulders & topline, neat legs & feet, in good red coat for age. Tail could be better; 2 Stoddart & Leeson’s Millvalley Tosca, b/t, liked her balance & overall shape, carries her tail well. Not moving her best but very young & looks a good prospect; 3 Jones’ Wyeafon Fly By Night. JB (2) 1 Small’s Silhill Solitaire at Bethane, smart, good moving red, pleasing neck, shoulder, topline & tailset, splendid hindquarters, good eye & expression. RCC; 2 Stoddart & Leeson’s Millvalley Red Hot Pepper, very attractive but 1 had the edge in upper arm & overall condition, very typical & a good showgirl. Coat still needs to clear. LB (2) 1 McCourt’s Silhill Scruples, rather big rangy red who did not behave on the table but put her all in on the move showing a good neck, shoulder, topline & tailset. Could be better in hindquarters; 2 Brown’s Ralindi Dream Quest, nice clear red coat, good body & depth, good eye full of expression. Hoovered when moving so it was impossible to see her at her best. OB (2,1a) 1 Stoddart’s Ch Millvalley Diva, good bitch, unexaggerated but pleasing & well knit throughout, good head, eye & expression, nice front, legs & feet, firm topline, good tailset, moved & showed well. CC & BOB.
