FOX WIRE JUDGE EAST OF ENGLAND 23

My thanks to Pat and the team of E of E,for giving me my first CC appointment at this, their last show. A memorable day indeed. Thanks to all who entered with some beautiful wires.

MPD (1)

1 Lilley & Smith, Wyregait Kings Ransome, nearly 9 months and still very raw. Fair head, ears need to settle but a good mouth and dark eyes. Moved well when he got going. Nice square outline, but would like more bone and substance. Coat needs a lot of work.

PGD (2)

1 Andersons, Brocolitia Udidntdidu, almost 2 yrs d, underneath a profuse but clean coat is a very nice well balanced dog. Good for size, nice head with good expression, dark eye and neat ears which were used well, straight front, short back, good set on and plenty behind it. Moved with drive, a little more weight and a better jacket would complete the picture.

2 Mullaneys Ruxleywire Magic Box, another of similar age, not as balanced as 1, in better jacket, but larger type, good head and ears, has good angulation throughout, moved well, sure they will change places many times, handled well by his sporting owner.

LD (1)

1 Maughans Brocolitia Do It For Thy Sen. 2 yrs d, of lovely type. Good head with strength to foreface, darkest of eyes, and good natural ears which he used well. Well balanced with good neck and A1 front, well ribbed, short back and well angulated rear with short hocks.Presented a lovely outline with his tail on top and plenty behind, kept this outline on the move, fiesty lad, needs to settle, this cost him in the challenge, Res CC.

OD (2)

1 Wynters, Ch Robelroy Many Dreams At Furlongfox. Mature dog, ultra fine head but has strength, good mouth, well placed ears, good angulation fore and aft, short back ,well bodied up, tail on top, fabulous hard jacket, moved more positively when handler slowed down a touch, nice dog who deserves his title and a credit to his young handler who knows how to get the best from him, DCC.

2 Duesman, Ford & Hughes, Slo Ch Alkinra Entertainer, larger type than 1 and heavier in skull but in proportion, good mouth with strength to foreface, dark eye, neat ears, good angulation throughout with nice muscletone, moved and presented very well, also kept his outline on the move.

VD (1)

1 Rice, Winning Colours at Duchmorn, 8 yrs dog in fabulous condition. Still carries a lovely headpiece with the best of mouths and clean teeth, lovely dark eye, used his ears well, good angulation at both ends with excellent muscle.Tail on top, had one of the best jackets of the day, moved well for his age, and handled perfectly getting the best from him, Best Veteran, his owner should be congratulated for keeping him in good order.

MPB (1)

1 Lilley & Smith’s Wyregait Heart Of Gold, almost 9 months, litter sister to M,p d, again similar remarks apply, needs that jacket sorting and was a little apprehensive at first, has a fair head with dark eye and good mouth, ears need to settle,, just needs time.

PB (2)

1 Listons’ Brynparc Let Me Tell Ya This, 9 months and of pleasing type, feminine head but has strength, small dark eye, a good mouth, ears placed well and used them, nice length of neck into good shoulders, well bodied, good set on and well angulated rear giving good drive. Best jacket of the puppies, Best puppy.

2 Lilley’s Wyregait Christmas Carol, very raw 7 months, longer in back than 1, fair head, good mouth, dark eye, not using her ears today, jacket needs work, she needs more confidence and time.

PGB (4)

A varied class in type.

1 Roulstons Brocolitia Clementia of Ivyjewel, 22 months, more my type, full of confidence and attentive to handler, short and cobby, best ears of the class, but just found her a bit thicker in skull and eye a little large. Moved well, coat was a little soft, just needs to harden up to finish the picture.

2 Rice, Ooh La Kami Knickers At Duchmorn, has a lovely fine head, good mouth, dark eye, but ears a bit light, nicely angulated throughout, moved well, in better jacket than 1 and a bit lighter in body.

3 Durdys Frasama Shes The One.

LB (1)

1 Maughans’ Brocolitia Crystal glow. Just my cuppa tea! 20mths b, so very well balanced throughout and of a good size. Has a lovely clean head, smallest of dark eyes, good strength to foreface and good mouth. Used her well placed ears , good length of neck into a fabulous front, well bodied, short and compact, tail on top and plenty behind, well angulated hindquarters with short hocks which made for good drive and movement. Coat in great order, BCC and Best of breed, looked well in the group.

2 Ford & Hughes, Alkinra Had To Be. Slightly bigger and stronger type than 1, but all in good proportions, good head, mouth and ears, well angulated and bodied, moved and showed well and in very good hard coat!

OB (3)

1 Westwood & Wiggins, Nethertonion Severina, Res CC, another very nice b, quality throughout. Like the limit b winner, is just my type, and similar remarks apply. Jacket and presentation in great order as you would expect from her handler who gets the best from her. Really splitting hairs here, felt the front movement of my CC winner just pipped this lady, wished I’d had 2 tickets for these 2 lovely bitches who I’m sure will both gain their titles.

2 Ford, Selvina Isadora, slightly heavier type than my 2 winners, but has everything in good proportions. Lovely head, eye and ears, well angulated, moved and showed well, unlucky to meet 2 very nice bitches.

3 Murphy Ruxleywire Goddess Bridget.

SB

1 Durdys Ready For Anything. 19 months b, needing more overall body, ears a bit light, but more importantly for this class, shown well by her young handler, they both need time and confidence which will come with practice! Well done young man!
