FOX WIRE JUDGE LKA 22

PD (1)

1 & BP Mullaney’s Maureen Ruxleywyre Magic Boy alone but quite a promising youngster which is carrying too much weight at present. Long, lean well balanced head, very good eyes for size, shape, colour and expression. Stands and moves a bit narrow in front. Has a decent reach in neck, well set and carried tail and quite balanced in side action.

LD (3,2)

1 Ford & Burtons Selvina Indiana appealing on the stack where he uses his good neck to advantage, enhancing his outline. Head is well balanced, flattish skull, expressive eyes, decent muzzle and good underjaw. His tail is well set and carried and his coat is harsh and was well presented. I would like more forechest and that shade more width in upper thigh aiding more bend of stifle. He moved out soundly in profile, just that tad narrow when fore viewed.

OD (5,1)

1 CC & BOB Schonenberg’s Paperman Hello, all male in head, a really alert expression from excellent eyes and he scores in muzzle strength and head balance. Ample reach of neck, straightest of forelegs with neat feet, ample spring and depth in rib, firm backline to a well set and carried tail and finished off with such a good bend of stifle. Presented in excellent body and coat, he was the soundest mover and looked like he could work all day.

2 & Res CC O’Donoghue’s Ch Blackdale Regent the heart breaker as his head is quite beautiful, oozes quality and his eyes and expression would win any heart. He is well ribbed with such a good forechest, ample spring of rib, well bent stifles and tail set spot on. His presentation was flawless and I am unsurprised to read that he is ennobled. However, whilst he is perfectly sound on the move he just lacked the reach and drive of the winner as I sent them round the ring. But he will have many well deserved admirers

3 Hughes & Ford’s Slo. Ch. Alkinra Entertainer.

VD/B (2)

1 Rice’s Patricia Winning Colours at Duchmore

2 Williams’ Alkinra Wizard a delight to judge these two charming golden oldies which are a great credit to their owners. Both flawless in coat and presentation with well balanced, long, lean heads. I felt the winner that fraction better in eye and expression whilst the Wizard was that tad better in ribbing. They matched each other stride for stride as they sailed around the ring with style and panache, clearly enjoying their day out!

PB (1)

1 Rice’s Oh La Kamee Nickers at Duchmorn smart looking very feminine baby with a very good head, ample chin, well shaped expressive dark eyes and neat ears. Sufficient neck, a bit narrow in forechest and I would like more rear angulation. However, she moved around the ring with balance and keeping her shape.

JB (1)

1 Hughes & Ford’s Alkinra Had To Be once she settled on the move, she covered the ground well showing ample reach and drive. Handling on the table her head has a good length, the skull is sufficiently flat, the neatest of ears and such dark very expressive eyes. Another which lacks forechest for me but she is amply angulated in hindquarters.

PGB (3,1)

1 Williams’ Alkinra Gossip Girl no doubting this one’s sex. Her head is good to handle, flattish skull, very good ears, well shaped eyes, amply weighted foreface and a good chin. Another which is narrow in front and it is reflected in her action. However, she is well angulated aft and once settled on the move she did enough to win the class.

2 Bentley’s Blackdale Madam Dancer of Newguild bigger all through and not quite so neat in ears as the winner. Pleasing head length and a good foreface. Enough neck, backline dips a bit behind the withers and her tail is on the gay side for me. Side action is balanced but hocks could be firmer when rear viewed.

LB (1)

1 Ford & Burton’s Selvina Isadora nicely headed with very good eyes and an appealing expression. Sufficient neck, again a little narrow in forechest and when stacked her backline could be firmer. She was in excellent coat, was well presented but I felt she was a bit disinterested in the proceedings, especially on the move where she showed little enthusiasm.

OB (2)

1 & CC & BOS Davani’s Ch Travella Silent Agenda a quality exhibit, shapely, nicely constructed, well balanced head, neat ears, pleasing expression, very good neck, well ribbed and a good tail set and carriage. Every hair in place and she moved out soundly both ways and held her shape in profile.

2 & Res CC Pearce, Hughes & Duesmann’s Graycottage Pippa John (Imp Deu) I really liked this quality bitch. She is so well constructed, was in super body and muscle condition, is compact yet stands over a degree of ground, tail perfectly set and looking game for anything. Her head handles so well, the expression so alive and penetrating giving that air of mischief. So sound and in excellent coat. She is just a shade heavily marked for my taste. But she has undoubted quality.
