FOX WIRE JUDGE LEEDS 25

I've been involved with Fox Terriers for around 35 Years or more, was on the committee of the Fox Terrier club for many years and show manager for 5 years. This time I had the honour of awarding CC's for the first time at Leeds Championship show (that took a while lol). I was pleased to have some stunning exhibits to sort out.

Class 546 SBD/B (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: COOPER, Mrs Lucy : Kenleap Game Changer - At just turned 12 months she is at the awkward stage, being quite raw. Having said that her head is coming on well, she has a promising head with good expression, her ears are good when she uses them, looking a bit gangly right now, so needs time. Moved very well for her age. Best Special Beginner.

Class 551 OD (5 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1241 DAVANI, Ms Cara : Travella Shockwave - A quality mature male, came into the ring on his toes with super ring presence. Good for overall size and shape, Has a long and lean head, narrow but with strength, good dark eye, ears up on top and using them well, clean neck into well laid shoulders, short back and level topline with correct tail set, excellent straight front with good depth of chest, has good rear angulation with enough behind the tail. Moved true in front with lots of drive from behind. CC

2nd: 1248 CASSIN, Mrs Francesca : DK Ch NU Ch SVCH Fin Fransin Keystone - Another excellent example of the breed, he has a super well balanced outline, great head, slightly stronger in muzzle than1, good eye and expression, small well set ears, super length of neck, firm topline into well set on tail, very good front and rear end. Moved well and covered the ground. Res CC

3rd: 1249 MACKIN & RICHARDS, Messrs T & D : Multi Ch Random Reliant Imp Usa

Res: 1254 VIRZI’, Mrs Selene Dannie Richmond

Class 553 PB (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1251 VICKERS, Ms Joanne & DAMS, Mr N : Stagwire Synergy At Jodean - She is only a baby, but is showing lots of promise, has a lovely balanced outline, well proportioned head with a sweet expression, good length of neck into well laid shoulders, enough behind and good rear angulation, moved really well around the ring. Best Puppy.

Class 554 JB (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1240 COOPER, Mrs Lucy : Kenleap Game Changer – Repeat (SB)

Class 555 PGB (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1244 HUDSON, Mr D : Brocolitia Pedal Power - Good for size and quite well balanced, liked her head shape and was using her ears, good length of neck and short coupled, very good tail set and carriage, she has a straight front with good depth of chest, has a very good coat too. For me a touch over weight.

Class 557 OB (5 Entries) Abs: 3

1st: 1247 O'DONOGHUE, Mr Harry : Ch Blackdale Show Queen - Such a quality bitch in all departments, came into the ring and looked absolutely immaculate. Has a classic clean head of good length and proportions, dark eye, small well placed ears all giving an excellent expression, super neck flowing into well laid shoulders, short in back, good tailset with plenty behind. Super straight front, good depth of chest and spring of rib, has a good turn of stifle, she moved freely in profile covering the ground. Pleased to award her the CC & BOB she went on to win Terrier Group 3.

2nd: 1243 FORD, Ms L & BURTON, Mr D : Selvina Isadora – A super bitch that I have judged before and given best of breed to. She is excellent in profile, has super head, narrow with good length, long clean neck into well laid shoulders, short back and excellent tailset. With a super straight front and complementing rear angulation she flowed around the ring. Just a tad short on coat coming through today. Res CC

Class 558 VB (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: 1246 NIXON, Mrs S : Ch Willowyre Whyte Magic – What a lovely bitch to go over and put down in excellent order. Lovely head and expression, ears set on well and she used them all the time, excellent teeth, her neck flows into well angulated shoulders, short and level back, tail set on and carried well, super rear angulation, she was one of the best movers in the breed today. Best Veteran and also went on to win Terrier Veteran Group 2. I understand it was her last show and have to say what a super representative of the breed.

Judge : Mick Oxley (Digelsa)
