FOX WIRE JUDGE NATIONAL TERRIER 14

Wire Fox Terriers

Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge at this world famous terrier show. It was an honour to judge it. Thanks to the exhibitors for entering under me. I still think this country needs a champions class. Front movement & shoulders need watching.

MPD (2)

1 Maughan’s Brocolita No Reason, nice ears, clean front, compact with tail on top, bit sloppy in front but just a baby so has time. BP; 2 Nixon’s Willowyre Wings Of Steel, another promising youngster, in A1 order, bit overweight today.

PD (4)

1 McGill’s Grabrae Atlantic, good length of head, ears on top, clean front, tail on top;

2 Adshead’s Shoalhill Galahad, clean front, nice topline, compact, tail well set on, in lovely coat, I’d like a touch more lift in the ears;

3 Maughan’s Brocolita Reckless.

JD (1)

1 Schonenburg’s Paperman Snow Driver, nice head, ears & front, good tailset & rear angulation. Good coat texture.

PGD (6)

1 De Munter’s Lionheart van Foliny Home, top size dog but attractive, long head, good shoulders, tail on top & in good order today;

2 Bradford’s Flintwyre Figgy Duff, clean front, nice topline, compact, good tailset & rear, good coat texture but needs a little less in places. Shows very well;

3 Johnston’s Seacliff Fairplay.

LD (1)

1 Burrage’s Ashleyheath Of All Eternity, clean front, good length of head, good tailset & angulation, in crisp coat & well handled.

OD (3)

I was very privileged to judge this class, three nice dogs two of which are big winners & the other has an ‘out of this world head’.

1 Browne-Cole’s Ch Travella Striking Steel, good head, million dollar ears, clean front, good bone, legs & feet, good layback of shoulder, lovely outline, compact & tail on top with shelf behind. Big hams for quarters, he floated soundly around the ring which is why he won the breed today. In absolutely spanking coat & condition. Trained & showed to the minute, never put a foot wrong. CC, BOB & BIS;

2 De Munter’s Ch King Arthur von Foliny Home, another nice dog, good length of head, neat ears, good legs & feet, nice layback of shoulder, compact & tail on top, good quarters & angulation. Again in tip top condition, played handler up on the move. RCC;

3 Wiggins’ Razor Sharp at Paperman.

MPB (0).

PB (2)

1 Perk’s Travella Special Agenda, clean front, very compact, good outline & tailset, in nice coat & very well handled;

2 Hendrick’s Saredon Forget Me Not, clean front, level topline, needs a new coat, well handled.

JB (3)

1 Davis & Browne-Cole’s Travella Step Forward, clean front, good legs & feet, ultra short, tail on top & moved well; 2 Maughan’s Brocolita Strike A Pose, nice outline, compact, tail on top, just could have used her ears a bit more, but nice when she did;

3 Pearce’s Alkinra Rough Diamond.

PGB (7)

1 Westwood’s Heartbeat an Nethertonian, nice head & ears, good front, compact, good tailset & angulation, in nice order;

2 Dipple’s Travella Some Quest, good ears & front, compact as they come, moved & showed well, out of coat today;

3 Griffiths’ Brocolita Grace Kelly.

LB (1)

1 Schonenburg’s Leonie from the Schonenburgen, pretty head & ears, level topline & good quarters & angulation. In good coat & condition.

OB (4)

1 Wiggins’ Cradleydale Alexis, good head & ears, very feminine all through, good topline & tailset, nice angulation, a handy size & in full bloom, a sparkling white bitch;

2 Van Weersch’s Ch Legra VD Bismarquelle, very sound pretty feminine bitch, super topline & tailset, in good coat & condition, makes a pretty picture & I hope she can make up here, her young handler does a great job. Preferred size of 1;

3 Magill’s Burrencroft Shes A Hit.
