FOX WIRE JUDGE SOUTH WALES 18

A disappointing entry, but I believe this has been the case at some shows this season.

LD (1)

1 Shoneberg's Quirinius V Waldhaus (AV00889DEU). 2 yr old with good conformation, long lean head, dark eye, correct bite with a good mouth, nice short back, good set on and plenty behind the tail, moved well. RCC.

OD (1)

1 Browne-Cole's Ch Travella Lakefix Set To Strike. Another young one in super condition, hard, dense wire coat, quality head, clean skull, dark eye with good expression. I would have liked the eyebrows to have been a little fuller, correct placement of ears, good shoulders leading into short back and well ribbed body. A little untidy in movement, he was not concentrating on the job in hand, which was a disadvantage for him today. CC.

JB (2)

1 Wynter & Hampton's Furlongfox Amber Spyglass. Well presented in good coat and condition, pleasant feminine head, clean skull, dark eye, ears a little flighty but she did use them. Slightly long in case but level topline with good tail set, moved well with balance both ways.

2 Ebdon's Stunning Luxe J'aime La Vie At Flashback (Imp Rus). Quite heavily marked. I would like to see a finer skull with more length from junction of forehead to nose, good dark eye, correct ear placement, laid back shoulders, moved ok, a little more detail to trimming would improve the larger picture.

PGB (1)

1 Watkin-Jones' Gilnivers Tully. Another heavily marked bitch, not the best of heads, pleasant eye, good scissor bite, not a lot of attitude today, which did her no favours in her movement, more detail in trimming would improve the overall appearance.

LB (2)

1 Nixon's Willowyre White Magic. A young bitch with a great personality with a prosperous future, lovely feminine long lean head, clean skull, wicked dark eye full of expression, good scissor bite, ears on top using them all the time, conformation difficult to fault, short back, well ribbed body, well developed second thigh giving true movement coming and going. Put down well, just needs to settle a tiny bit.

2 Cadiz's Madelon De Cresecques (ATC AU00966FRA). Another super feminine bitch of good type and size, long, lean head, firm jaw with good bite, small dark eye, ears a little lazy today, short back, well sprung ribs, would like to see more attitude which would improve her movement and overall appearance.

OB (2)

1 Westwood & Wiggins' Ch Nethertonion Chandalier. A bitch full of quality, standing square on her toes with a look at me expression, true to this breed, put down to perfection, correct size and in tip top condition, in every way. Lovely length of neck leading to short level back and tail on top with plenty behind, powerful thighs, good angulation, short, straight hocks covering the ground so well in movement. CC, BOB.

2 Lilly's Wyregait Cider With Rosie. A bitch with a pleasant outlook, up to size, lean head, not as feminine as first, correct bite, dark eye, needs more attitude as she lacked impulsion in movement.

CCDS (1)

1 Wynter & Hampton's Furlongfox Amber Spyglass. As JB, well handled by this young experienced handler who deserves to do well in her future breed classes. I was pleased to see my BOB won the Terrier Group.
