Wire Fox Terriers

Two very good open classes & two high quality limit winners ensured good competition for the challenges. Thank you for the entry, I enjoyed judging them.

JD

1 Skerli Union Jack, 17 months full sized dog with very good coat texture & quarters. Masculine in head, good ears, could have more angulation in shoulder for smoother neck line. Looks a teenager but he has potential.

PGD

1 Aman Snow Knight at Coedrhosyn, 5 years old, shown too heavy which detracted from neck. Good head & expression. Scored in movement here;

2 S Union Jack.

LD

1 Blackdazle Buccaneer of Russmews, this dog looked a picture, beautifully presented in good coat, lovely quality dog, easy winner here, beautiful headpiece, short backed, excellent quarters, very good movement. I thought he would be hard to beat but in the challenge lost his topline, a pity;

2 Joamaka Jack The Lad, 3 years, clean outline with good quarters. Needs more over depth of chest but scored on the move here;

3 Travella Big Impact at Maidfern.

OD

1 Irvon Hill Cider Cup, a quality dog who moved really well, 20 months old, scored in chest & rib & front action. Long clean head, good shoulder & rear angulation. CC, BOB & G2;

2 Ch Hampton Court’s Machida, 3 years, very showy dog, ultra fine in head. Needs more depth of chest for his age & rather tied in front. Excellent rear movement & good topline which won him RCC;

3 Nethertonian Optimist.

MPB

1 Mcleanwire Heartlands Girl, 8 months, raw puppy needing time to fill out & gain confidence. Fine head, a little straight at both ends.

JB

1 Dominus Demeter, 16 months, quality bitch, short backed & scoring in coat & front movement. Feminine head;

2 Aman Crimson Empress, 14 months, a real teenager in coat & body. Needs time to coordinate on the move. Good depth of head. Ears a little low set. Could mature into a lovely bitch.

PGB (2)

1 Jean de Cresecques, short backed & short coupled bitch, scoring in rear action & couplings clean, feminine head but her ears could be better;

2 Cuming’s Shoalhill Miss Bossy Boots, this 2 year old has a beautiful forehand with lovely headpiece, neck & shoulder. A little long in body & her rear action was a disappointment.

LB (5,1)

1 Fransin Minnie Mouse, high quality bitch presented in great form with hard coast texture. Feminine but has good rib & chest & moves very well;

2 Xtra vd Schonen Bergen, bigger stamp of bitch with excellent coat. I preferred the head & front of the winner;

3 Eskwyre Steel Magnolias.

OB (6,1)

1 Travella Sonata, won this class on coat & movement. Looked a picture & she has great quarters to drive her. Good spring of rib, but could be a touch shorter coupled. Long head which could be a little cleaner, but the overall picture pleased me most. CC;

2 Wyregait Shades Of Silver, beautiful head & a better eye on this bitch. She is short backed & with good tail & quarters. Not in her best coat on the day & winner more accurate in rear. RCC;

3 Nethertonion Pendant.
