FOX WIRE WINDSOR 10 Judge: Dr R Barbour FOX WIRE JUDGE WINDSOR 10 Wire Fox Terriers It’s sad to see the decrease in entry size & quality of exhibits of this breed, but despite the paucity of entries, the BOB is I consider a truly outstanding dog. Coat was one breed characteristic that caused me concern, there were a number of rather soft coats. JD (2,1a) 1 Anderson’s Proveits Johnnie Be Good, nice dog, possibly a little on the large side. Lean head with keen expression & good ears, one of the harshest coats here, moved well. PGD (1) 1 Bradford’s Flyntwyre In The Blood, compact, powerful dog, flat skull, good topline. Ear carriage could be slightly better. LD (4,1) 1 Averis & Barker’s Saredon Mr Nice Guy, soundly built Terrier, pleasing head & expression, good length of neck, well laid shoulders, moved with drive, good coat. RCC; 2 Lilley’s Wyregait Mister Right, typical in outline, good strong hindquarters, true mover behind. Not as good in head & ears as 1; 3 Jefford’s Wizzizz Exceptional. OD (3) 1 Browne-Cole’s Travella Star Lord, really outstanding dog, in profile beautifully balanced & showing real Terrier character, best head & expression, good length of neck flowing into well laid shoulders, very short coupled, strong hindquarters, moved very well with excellent reach & drive, good harsh coat, pleased to see him second in the group behind the eventual BIS winner. CC & BOB; 2 Schonberg’s Hanko vd Schonenbergen, solid type, good body & topline, when moving covered ground well; 3 Colonachi, Mityan & Claudio’s Int Hun Ch Romanien Serbie Strozzavolpe Kap Royale. V (1) 1 Forman’s Beemaid Target, nearly ten years, good condition & nicely presented, very typical lean head & neat eye & ears. PB (1) 1 Lilley’s Wyregait Reach For The Stars, promising lively youngster, showing nice balance in profile, good coat texture, moved with drive. JB (1) 1 Bend’s Bendadere Not On Your Nellie, a rather cobby bitch. Skull could perhaps be a little finer & coat a little harsher. PGB (1) 1 Benge’s Merry Go Round at Romtyke, in outline balanced, nice head & eye. At the moment needs a lot more coat. LB (3,1) 1 Forman’s Beemaid Thunder Bird, two nice bitches, particularly good ears, lay of shoulder & coat texture. RCC; 2 Legros’s Travella Shiva Diva, short coupled, true moving bitch. OB (2) 1 Schoneberg’s Diana vd Schonenbergen, alone but worthy winner, lovely head & eye, good neck & shoulders, coat good harsh texture, sound mover. CC. RUTH BARBOUR |
