KERRY BLUE JUDGE BELFAST 23

I was pleased with my super entry of 22 and would like to thank all the exhibitors for their support and sportsmanship on the day. There was only one sore loser. You know who you are!

PD (1)

1 Left Back Ar (Daly). 10 month old dog of a pleasing make and shape. Typy head. Darkest of pigmentation. Excellent coat texture. Would prefer a slightly better tailset. Still needs to settle on the move but sound.

PGD (2)

1 Irisblu High Expectations (Anderson & Butterfield & Quigg & Watt) Very eye catching, showy young dog. Good strength of muzzle. Dark eye with keen expression. Skull could be marginally leaner. Compact body shape with reachy neck and well placed shoulders. Good set on with plenty behind. Well placed hocks and ample angulation. Positive mover. Still dark in colour but this is permissible at his young age. Should make up. CC.

2 Pretty Boy Floyd (Daly). Another of good type with excellent coat and colour. Pleasing head and ears. Level topline. Tailset could be higher. Not quite as positive in movement as 1 today.

OD (5,1)

1 Am Ch Sheep Creek Outlander Jamie (Imp Usa) (Smith). Lovely made dog with a super outline. Strong powerful muzzle. Excellent bite and pigmentation. Skull slightly broad for my liking. A very sound moving dog but for me would prefer more of him. RCC.

2 Commache Star (Daly). Another good sort. Preferred coat texture of 1.

3 Arigna Sky Blue (Rigney).

PB (2)

1 Clanciarrai Blue Note (Martin). I absolutely loved this young bitch. So feminine and elegant. Classic head shape. Perfect ears. Keen expression. Reachy neck. Good lay of shoulder. Compact. Excellent tailset. Superb hind angulation.Colour already clearing. Excellent coat texture. Very good moving bitch. Showed like a pro and pushed the CC winner hard. RCC BP.

2 Miss Alison Becker (Deardon). Another promising puppy with a very good coat. Moved very well both ways. Preferred the head of 1.

JB (2)

A very good class.

1 Glenachall Queen of The South (Good & Walker & Walker). A very feminine, petite bitch. Looked an absolute picture standing. Pleasing head and eye. Reachy neck. Short coupled. Superb coat and colour. Tail on top with plenty behind. Excellent hind quarters. Good depth of chest. When she settles in front she should make up.

2 Lansmars Markievicz (Marley). Another quality, well made bitch. Typy head and eye. Correctly proportioned and balanced throughout. A good mover just did not put all in today. Colour needs to clear.

OB (5)

1 Clanciarrai Aria (Martin).A beautiful make and shape and has all the attributes I like in a Kerry. She is feminine and stylish in body shape. Pleasing head and expression. A very well made bitch that is not overdone in any way with ample but not exaggerated bone and substance. Excellent coat and colour. Moved very well going but on occasions unsettled in front but overall a lovely example of the breed and a well deserved champion. Pleased to see she made the cut in the Group. CC & BOB.

2 Glenachall Nudge The Judge (Walker). Another beautiful bitch. Bigger in type than 1 but still very feminine. Loved her make and shape. Just needs to settle a tad in front movement but certainly one to watch. Very well handled.

3 Ir Ch Arigna Alone She Stands (Rigney).
