KERRY BLUE CITY OF BIRMINGHAM 16 Judge: Mr P Davies BEST OF BREED : 4878 CASSIN Miss F Balboa Saladin KERRY BLUE JUDGE CITY OF BIRMINGHAM 16 Kerry Blue Terriers PD (2) 1 Neill & Collins’ Kensbridge Kilclooney, just short of full size, good head planes & strong muzzle, well set ears with keen expression, long neck into well placed shoulder, chest needs to drop. Strong bone with ribs well sprung, level topline with good set-on & well developed hindquarters, coat starting to break colour & when settled moved true both ways. BP. Pleased to see him go PG2; 2 O’Rourke’s Kebulak Dressed To Kill, one I have judged before, pleasing in head but not the keen expression of 1, good length of neck, good layback of shoulder, deep chest, plenty behind the tail, moved well. JD (3) 1 Davani’s Kebulak Wear My Kiss, good head, with keen dark eye & sharp expression, good length of neck, level topline, good set-on, in good condition, moved well behind, good coat colour breaking through; 2 Forrest & Scott’s Lacarnaveen One And Only, pleasing head not the expression of 1, well balanced dog with good proportions, he needs to settle on the move which I believe maturity will bring; 3 Belt’s Arterriers High Voltage. PGB, LB (0). OD (4,2a) 1 Cassin’s Balboa Saladin, masculine head, strong muzzle, keen dark eye with well placed ears giving him that keen Kerry expression. Good length of neck into well placed shoulders, deep chested, plenty of substance short coupled, tail set high with plenty behind. In the tip-top of condition & a true Blue. A very impressive showman stood, so balanced & covers the ground with purpose & drive both ways, in sync with his handler & put down with great skill. If one would be ultra critical then I would like him a tad closer to the size limit. That said I would be more than happy to take him home! CC & BOB. Pleased to see him go G1; 2 Ramsay’s Ch Torum’s Cairo Fred, good head, stronger in backskull than 1, keen dark eye. Strong neck clean into withers, ribs well sprung, short back with level topline, good tailset, in good hard condition, well presented, moved well both ways. RCC. PB (2) 1 Davani’s Kebulak Killing Me Softly, lovely head & expression, long neck, short backed, level topline, moved well up & down & in profile; 2 Calloch & Godard’s Arkama Purple On Purple, pleasing head, neck & shoulders, longer cast than 1, colour breaking for one so young. JB (0). PGB (1) 1 Munro’s Akarma Guilty Pleasure, pretty headed bitch with keen dark eye & well placed ears, good reach of neck, deep chest, good bone, short backed, correct tailset with good carriage, moved very well both ways by her young handler who got the very best out of his bitch & didn’t put a foot wrong, well done young man. Presentation was of the highest standard. RCC. LB (2) 1 Ensell’s Nemiah Shades Of Grey, pleasing head & expression, cobby bitch, good reach of neck ultra short in back with well sprung ribs, tailset high, would prefer better carriage, well presented although I would prefer a silky, wavy coat. Moved well enough to win the class, she needs more schooling to improve her ring presence, I’m sure she will settle with maturity; 2 Davani’s Kebulack Sweet Revenge, good head & expression with well placed ears, nice reach of neck, well placed shoulders, good set-on & tail carriage, not putting everything in on the move on the day. OB (4,2) 1 Jones’ Arkarma Harmony Miss D’Arcy, good headed bitch with keen expression, dark eye. Up to size. Long neck, shoulders well placed, level topline, good tailset & carriage. Good rear angulation, moved true with purpose both coming & going, impressive side gait. In good coat, well presented & handled to advantage. CC; 2 Calloch & Godard’s Balboa Karismatic, thicker in backskull than 1, dark eye, pleasing neck, longer in back than 1, not the quality of the winner in several departments. PHIL DAVIES
